אֵלַ֥י to me , ’ê·lay לֵאמֹֽר׃ saying , lê·mōr Ezekiel 14:13 בֶּן־ “ Son ben- אָדָ֗ם of man , ’ā·ḏām כִּ֤י if kî אֶ֚רֶץ a land ’e·reṣ תֶחֱטָא־ sins ṯe·ḥĕ·ṭā- לִי֙ against Me lî לִמְעָל־ by acting unfaithfully lim·‘āl- מַ֔עַל . . . , ma·‘al וְנָטִ֤יתִי and I stretch out wə·nā·ṭî·ṯî יָדִי֙ My hand yā·ḏî עָלֶ֔יהָ against it ‘ā·le·hā וְשָׁבַ֥רְתִּי to cut off wə·šā·ḇar·tî לָ֖הּ its lāh מַטֵּה־ supply maṭ·ṭêh- לָ֑חֶם of food , lā·ḥem וְהִשְׁלַחְתִּי־ to send wə·hiš·laḥ·tî- רָעָ֔ב famine rā·‘āḇ בָ֣הּ upon it , ḇāh וְהִכְרַתִּ֥י and to cut off wə·hiḵ·rat·tî מִמֶּ֖נָּה from it mim·men·nāh אָדָ֥ם both man ’ā·ḏām וּבְהֵמָֽה׃ and beast , ū·ḇə·hê·māh Ezekiel 14:14 הָאֵ֙לֶּה֙ then even if these hā·’êl·leh שְׁלֹ֨שֶׁת three šə·lō·šeṯ הָאֲנָשִׁ֤ים men — hā·’ă·nā·šîm נֹ֖חַ Noah , nō·aḥ דָּנִאֵל Daniel , då̄·ni·ʾēl וְאִיּ֑וֹב and Job — wə·’î·yō·wḇ וְ֠הָיוּ were wə·hā·yū בְּתוֹכָ֔הּ in it , bə·ṯō·w·ḵāh הֵ֤מָּה vvv hêm·māh בְצִדְקָתָם֙ their righteousness ḇə·ṣiḏ·qā·ṯām יְנַצְּל֣וּ could deliver yə·naṣ·ṣə·lū נַפְשָׁ֔ם only themselves , nap̄·šām נְאֻ֖ם declares nə·’um אֲדֹנָ֥י the Lord ’ă·ḏō·nāy יְהוִֽה׃ YHWH . Yah·weh Ezekiel 14:15 לֽוּ־ Or if lū- רָעָ֛ה I send wild rā·‘āh אַעֲבִ֥יר . . . ’a·‘ă·ḇîr חַיָּ֥ה beasts ḥay·yāh בָּאָ֖רֶץ through the land bā·’ā·reṣ וְשִׁכְּלָ֑תָּה to leave it childless wə·šik·kə·lāt·tāh וְהָיְתָ֤ה [and] wə·hā·yə·ṯāh שְׁמָמָה֙ desolate , šə·mā·māh מִבְּלִ֣י with no man mib·bə·lî עוֹבֵ֔ר passing through it ‘ō·w·ḇêr מִפְּנֵ֖י for fear mip·pə·nê הַחַיָּֽה׃ of the beasts , ha·ḥay·yāh Ezekiel 14:16 אָ֗נִי then as surely ’ā·nî חַי־ as I live , ḥay- נְאֻם֙ declares nə·’um אֲדֹנָ֣י the Lord ’ă·ḏō·nāy יְהוִ֔ה YHWH , Yah·weh הָאֵלֶּה֮ even if these hā·’êl·leh שְׁלֹ֨שֶׁת three šə·lō·šeṯ הָאֲנָשִׁ֣ים men hā·’ă·nā·šîm בְּתוֹכָהּ֒ were in it , bə·ṯō·w·ḵāh אִם־ they could not ’im- יַצִּ֑ילוּ deliver yaṣ·ṣî·lū בָּנִ֥ים their own sons bā·nîm וְאִם־ or wə·’im- בָּנ֖וֹת daughters . bā·nō·wṯ הֵ֤מָּה They hêm·māh לְבַדָּם֙ alone lə·ḇad·dām יִנָּצֵ֔לוּ would be delivered , yin·nā·ṣê·lū וְהָאָ֖רֶץ but the land wə·hā·’ā·reṣ תִּהְיֶ֥ה would be tih·yeh שְׁמָמָֽה׃ desolate . šə·mā·māh Ezekiel 14:17 א֛וֹ Or ’ōw אָבִ֖יא if I bring ’ā·ḇî חֶ֥רֶב a sword ḥe·reḇ עַל־ against ‘al- הַהִ֑יא that ha·hî הָאָ֣רֶץ land hā·’ā·reṣ וְאָמַרְתִּ֗י and say , wə·’ā·mar·tî חֶ֚רֶב ‘ Let a sword ḥe·reḇ תַּעֲבֹ֣ר pass ta·‘ă·ḇōr בָּאָ֔רֶץ through it , ’ bā·’ā·reṣ וְהִכְרַתִּ֥י so that I cut off wə·hiḵ·rat·tî מִמֶּ֖נָּה from it mim·men·nāh אָדָ֥ם both man ’ā·ḏām וּבְהֵמָֽה׃ and beast , ū·ḇə·hê·māh
