הָאֵ֙לֶּה֙ these hā·’êl·leh הָאֲנָשִׁ֤ים men hā·’ă·nā·šîm הֶעֱל֤וּ have set up he·‘ĕ·lū גִלּֽוּלֵיהֶם֙ idols ḡil·lū·lê·hem עַל־ in ‘al- לִבָּ֔ם their hearts lib·bām נָתְנ֖וּ and put nā·ṯə·nū עֲוֺנָ֔ם wicked ‘ă·wō·nām וּמִכְשׁ֣וֹל stumbling blocks ū·miḵ·šō·wl נֹ֣כַח before nō·ḵaḥ פְּנֵיהֶ֑ם their faces . pə·nê·hem הַאִדָּרֹ֥שׁ Should I consult ha·’id·dā·rōš לָהֶֽם׃ס with them lā·hem אִדָּרֵ֖שׁ in any way ? ’id·dā·rêš Ezekiel 14:4 לָכֵ֣ן Therefore lā·ḵên דַּבֵּר־ speak dab·bêr- א֠וֹתָם to them ’ō·w·ṯām וְאָמַרְתָּ֨ and tell wə·’ā·mar·tā אֲלֵיהֶ֜ם them ’ă·lê·hem כֹּה־ that this is what kōh- אֲדֹנָ֣י the Lord ’ă·ḏō·nāy יְהוִ֗ה YHWH Yah·weh אָמַ֣ר׀ says : ’ā·mar אֲשֶׁר֩ ‘ When ’ă·šer אִ֣ישׁ any ’îš אִ֣ישׁ . . . ’îš מִבֵּ֣ית vvv mib·bêṯ יִשְׂרָאֵ֡ל Israelite yiś·rā·’êl יַעֲלֶ֨ה sets up ya·‘ă·leh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- גִּלּוּלָ֜יו idols gil·lū·lāw אֶל־ in ’el- לִבּ֗וֹ his heart lib·bōw יָשִׂים֙ and puts yā·śîm עֲוֺנוֹ֙ a wicked ‘ă·wō·nōw וּמִכְשׁ֤וֹל stumbling block ū·miḵ·šō·wl נֹ֣כַח before nō·ḵaḥ פָּנָ֔יו his face , pā·nāw וּבָ֖א and then comes ū·ḇā אֶל־ to ’el- הַנָּבִ֑יא the prophet , han·nā·ḇî אֲנִ֣י I ’ă·nî יְהוָ֗ה YHWH Yah·weh נַעֲנֵ֧יתִי will answer na·‘ă·nê·ṯî ל֦וֹ him lōw בָהּ ḇå̄h בְּרֹ֥ב according to his great bə·rōḇ גִּלּוּלָֽיו׃ idolatry , gil·lū·lāw Ezekiel 14:5 לְמַ֛עַן so that lə·ma·‘an תְּפֹ֥שׂ I may take hold tə·p̄ōś אֶת־ - ’eṯ- בְּלִבָּ֑ם of the hearts bə·lib·bām בֵּֽית־ of the [people] bêṯ- יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל of Israel . yiś·rā·’êl אֲשֶׁ֤ר For ’ă·šer בְּגִלּֽוּלֵיהֶ֖ם because of their idols , bə·ḡil·lū·lê·hem כֻּלָּֽם׃ס they are all kul·lām נָזֹ֙רוּ֙ estranged nā·zō·rū מֵֽעָלַ֔י from Me . ’ mê·‘ā·lay Ezekiel 14:6 לָכֵ֞ן Therefore lā·ḵên אֱמֹ֣ר׀ tell ’ĕ·mōr אֶל־ . . . ’el- בֵּ֣ית the house bêṯ יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל of Israel yiś·rā·’êl כֹּ֤ה that this is what kōh אֲדֹנָ֣י the Lord ’ă·ḏō·nāy יְהוִ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh אָמַר֙ says : ’ā·mar שׁ֣וּבוּ ‘ Repent šū·ḇū וְהָשִׁ֔יבוּ and turn away wə·hā·šî·ḇū מֵעַ֖ל from mê·‘al גִּלּֽוּלֵיכֶ֑ם your idols ; gil·lū·lê·ḵem פְנֵיכֶֽם׃ turn your faces p̄ə·nê·ḵem הָשִׁ֥יבוּ away hā·šî·ḇū וּמֵעַ֥ל from ū·mê·‘al כָּל־ all kāl- תּוֹעֲבֹתֵיכֶ֖ם your abominations . tō·w·‘ă·ḇō·ṯê·ḵem Ezekiel 14:7 כִּי֩ For when kî אִ֨ישׁ any ’îš אִ֜ישׁ . . . ’îš מִבֵּ֣ית vvv mib·bêṯ יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל Israelite yiś·rā·’êl וּמֵהַגֵּר֮ or any foreigner ū·mê·hag·gêr אֲשֶׁר־ ’ă·šer- יָג֣וּר dwelling yā·ḡūr בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל֒ in Israel bə·yiś·rā·’êl וְיִנָּזֵ֣ר separates himself wə·yin·nā·zêr מֵֽאַחֲרַ֗י from Me , mê·’a·ḥă·ray
