הַתּוֹעֵב֖וֹת the abominations hat·tō·w·‘ê·ḇō·wṯ אֲשֶׁ֣ר - ’ă·šer עָֽשׂוּ־ they are practicing ‘ā·śū- פֹ֑ה here , p̄ōh כִּֽי־ that kî- מָלְא֨וּ they must also fill mā·lə·’ū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הָאָ֜רֶץ the land hā·’ā·reṣ חָמָ֗ס with violence ḥā·mās וַיָּשֻׁ֙בוּ֙ and continually way·yā·šu·ḇū לְהַכְעִיסֵ֔נִי provoke Me to anger ? lə·haḵ·‘î·sê·nî וְהִנָּ֛ם Look, they are even wə·hin·nām שֹׁלְחִ֥ים putting šō·lə·ḥîm אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַזְּמוֹרָ֖ה the branch haz·zə·mō·w·rāh אֶל־ to ’el- אַפָּֽם׃ their nose ! ’ap·pām Ezekiel 8:18 וְגַם־ Therefore wə·ḡam- אֲנִי֙ I ’ă·nî אֶעֱשֶׂ֣ה will respond ’e·‘ĕ·śeh בְחֵמָ֔ה with wrath . ḇə·ḥê·māh לֹֽא־ I will not lō- עֵינִ֖י look on them ‘ê·nî תָח֥וֹס with pity , ṯā·ḥō·ws וְלֹ֣א nor wə·lō אֶחְמֹ֑ל will I spare them . ’eḥ·mōl וְקָרְא֤וּ Although they shout wə·qā·rə·’ū גָּד֔וֹל loudly gā·ḏō·wl ק֣וֹל . . . qō·wl בְאָזְנַי֙ in My ears , ḇə·’ā·zə·nay וְלֹ֥א I will not wə·lō אֶשְׁמַ֖ע listen to them . ” ’eš·ma‘ אוֹתָֽם׃ - ’ō·w·ṯām Ezekiel 9:1 בְאָזְנַ֗י Then I heard Him ḇə·’ā·zə·nay וַיִּקְרָ֣א call out way·yiq·rā גָּדוֹל֙ in a loud gā·ḏō·wl ק֤וֹל voice , qō·wl לֵאמֹ֔ר saying , lê·mōr קָרְב֖וּ “ Draw near , qā·rə·ḇū פְּקֻדּ֣וֹת O executioners pə·qud·dō·wṯ הָעִ֑יר of the city , hā·‘îr וְאִ֛ישׁ each wə·’îš כְּלִ֥י [with] a weapon kə·lî מַשְׁחֵת֖וֹ of destruction maš·ḥê·ṯōw בְּיָדֽוֹ׃ in hand . ” bə·yā·ḏōw Ezekiel 9:2 וְהִנֵּ֣ה And I saw wə·hin·nêh שִׁשָּׁ֣ה six šiš·šāh אֲנָשִׁ֡ים men ’ă·nā·šîm בָּאִ֣ים׀ coming bā·’îm מִדֶּרֶךְ־ from the direction mid·de·reḵ- הָעֶלְי֜וֹן of the Upper hā·‘el·yō·wn שַׁ֨עַר Gate , ša·‘ar אֲשֶׁ֣ר׀ which ’ă·šer מָפְנֶ֣ה faces mā·p̄ə·neh צָפ֗וֹנָה north , ṣā·p̄ō·w·nāh וְאִ֨ישׁ each wə·’îš כְּלִ֤י with a weapon kə·lî מַפָּצוֹ֙ of slaughter map·pā·ṣōw בְּיָד֔וֹ in his hand . bə·yā·ḏōw בְּתוֹכָם֙ With them bə·ṯō·w·ḵām אֶחָ֤ד was another ’e·ḥāḏ וְאִישׁ־ man wə·’îš- לָבֻ֣שׁ clothed lā·ḇuš בַּדִּ֔ים in linen bad·dîm וְקֶ֥סֶת who had a writing kit wə·qe·seṯ הַסֹּפֵ֖ר . . . has·sō·p̄êr בְּמָתְנָ֑יו at his side . bə·mā·ṯə·nāw וַיָּבֹ֙אוּ֙ And they came in way·yā·ḇō·’ū וַיַּ֣עַמְד֔וּ and stood way·ya·‘am·ḏū אֵ֖צֶל beside ’ê·ṣel הַנְּחֹֽשֶׁת׃ the bronze han·nə·ḥō·šeṯ מִזְבַּ֥ח altar . miz·baḥ Ezekiel 9:3 וּכְב֣וֹד׀ Then the glory ū·ḵə·ḇō·wḏ אֱלֹהֵ֣י of the God ’ĕ·lō·hê יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל of Israel yiś·rā·’êl נַעֲלָה֙ rose na·‘ă·lāh מֵעַ֤ל from above mê·‘al הַכְּרוּב֙ the cherubim , hak·kə·rūḇ אֲשֶׁ֣ר where ’ă·šer הָיָ֣ה it had been , hā·yāh עָלָ֔יו [and moved] ‘ā·lāw אֶ֖ל to ’el מִפְתַּ֣ן the threshold mip̄·tan הַבָּ֑יִת of the temple . hab·bā·yiṯ וַיִּקְרָ֗א And He called way·yiq·rā אֶל־ to ’el- הָאִישׁ֙ the man hā·’îš הַלָּבֻ֣שׁ clothed hal·lā·ḇuš
