Ezekiel 8:7 וַיָּבֵ֥א Then He brought way·yā·ḇê אֹתִ֖י me ’ō·ṯî אֶל־ to ’el- פֶּ֣תַח the entrance pe·ṯaḥ הֶֽחָצֵ֑ר to the court , he·ḥā·ṣêr וָאֶרְאֶ֕ה and I looked wā·’er·’eh וְהִנֵּ֥ה and saw wə·hin·nêh אֶחָ֖ד a ’e·ḥāḏ חֹר־ hole ḥōr- בַּקִּֽיר׃ in the wall . baq·qîr Ezekiel 8:8 בֶּן־ “ Son ben- אָדָ֖ם of man , ” ’ā·ḏām וַיֹּ֣אמֶר He told way·yō·mer אֵלַ֔י me , ’ê·lay חֲתָר־ “ dig ḥă·ṯār- נָ֣א . . . nā בַקִּ֑יר through the wall . ” ḇaq·qîr וָאֶחְתֹּ֣ר So I dug wā·’eḥ·tōr בַּקִּ֔יר through the wall baq·qîr וְהִנֵּ֖ה and discovered wə·hin·nêh אֶחָֽד׃ a ’e·ḥāḏ פֶּ֥תַח doorway . pe·ṯaḥ Ezekiel 8:9 וַיֹּ֖אמֶר Then He said way·yō·mer אֵלָ֑י to me , ’ê·lāy בֹּ֤א “ Go in bō וּרְאֵה֙ and see ū·rə·’êh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הָרָע֔וֹת the wicked hā·rā·‘ō·wṯ אֲשֶׁ֛ר ’ă·šer הַתּוֹעֵב֣וֹת abominations hat·tō·w·‘ê·ḇō·wṯ הֵ֥ם they hêm עֹשִׂ֖ים are committing ‘ō·śîm פֹּֽה׃ here . ” pōh Ezekiel 8:10 וָאָבוֹא֮ So I went in wā·’ā·ḇō·w וָֽאֶרְאֶה֒ and looked , wā·’er·’eh וְהִנֵּ֨ה and wə·hin·nêh מְחֻקֶּ֥ה engraved mə·ḥuq·qeh עַל־ . . . ‘al- סָבִ֥יב׀ all sā·ḇîḇ סָבִֽיב׃ around sā·ḇîḇ הַקִּ֖יר the wall haq·qîr כָל־ was every ḵāl תַּבְנִ֜ית kind taḇ·nîṯ רֶ֤מֶשׂ of crawling creature re·meś שֶׁ֔קֶץ and detestable še·qeṣ וּבְהֵמָה֙ beast , ū·ḇə·hê·māh וְכָל־ along with all wə·ḵāl גִּלּוּלֵ֖י the idols gil·lū·lê בֵּ֣ית of the house bêṯ יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל of Israel . yiś·rā·’êl Ezekiel 8:11 לִפְנֵיהֶ֔ם Before them lip̄·nê·hem עֹמֵ֤ד stood ‘ō·mêḏ וְשִׁבְעִ֣ים seventy wə·šiḇ·‘îm אִ֣ישׁ vvv ’îš מִזִּקְנֵ֣י elders miz·ziq·nê בֵֽית־ of the house ḇêṯ- יִ֠שְׂרָאֵל of Israel , yiś·rā·’êl וְיַאֲזַנְיָ֨הוּ with Jaazaniah wə·ya·’ă·zan·yā·hū בֶן־ son ḇen- שָׁפָ֜ן of Shaphan šā·p̄ān עֹמְדִ֣ים standing ‘ō·mə·ḏîm בְּתוֹכָם֙ among them . bə·ṯō·w·ḵām וְאִ֥ישׁ Each wə·’îš מִקְטַרְתּ֖וֹ had a censer miq·ṭar·tōw בְּיָד֑וֹ in his hand , bə·yā·ḏōw וַעֲתַ֥ר and a fragrant wa·‘ă·ṯar עֲנַֽן־ cloud ‘ă·nan- הַקְּטֹ֖רֶת of incense haq·qə·ṭō·reṯ עֹלֶֽה׃ was rising . ‘ō·leh Ezekiel 8:12 בֶן־ “ Son ḇen- אָדָם֒ of man , ” ’ā·ḏām וַיֹּ֣אמֶר He said way·yō·mer אֵלַי֮ to me , ’ê·lay הֲרָאִ֣יתָ “ do you see hă·rā·’î·ṯā אֲשֶׁ֨ר what ’ă·šer זִקְנֵ֤י the elders ziq·nê בֵֽית־ of the house ḇêṯ- יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ of Israel yiś·rā·’êl עֹשִׂ֣ים are doing ‘ō·śîm בַּחֹ֔שֶׁךְ in the darkness , ba·ḥō·šeḵ אִ֖ישׁ each ’îš בְּחַדְרֵ֣י at the shrine bə·ḥaḏ·rê מַשְׂכִּית֑וֹ of his own idol ? maś·kî·ṯōw כִּ֣י For kî
