חָמָֽס׃ of violence . ḥā·mās Ezekiel 7:24 וְהֵֽבֵאתִי֙ So I will bring wə·hê·ḇê·ṯî רָעֵ֣י the most wicked rā·‘ê גוֹיִ֔ם of nations ḡō·w·yim וְיָרְשׁ֖וּ to take possession of wə·yā·rə·šū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- בָּֽתֵּיהֶ֑ם their houses . bāt·tê·hem וְהִשְׁבַּתִּי֙ I will end wə·hiš·bat·tî גְּא֣וֹן the pride gə·’ō·wn עַזִּ֔ים of the mighty , ‘az·zîm מְקַֽדְשֵׁיהֶֽם׃ and their holy places mə·qaḏ·šê·hem וְנִחֲל֖וּ will be profaned . wə·ni·ḥă·lū Ezekiel 7:25 קְפָ֖דָה־ Anguish qə·p̄ā·ḏāh- בָ֑א is coming ! ḇā וּבִקְשׁ֥וּ They will seek ū·ḇiq·šū שָׁל֖וֹם peace , šā·lō·wm וָאָֽיִן׃ but find none . wā·’ā·yin Ezekiel 7:26 הֹוָ֤ה Disaster hō·wāh עַל־ upon ‘al- הֹוָה֙ disaster hō·wāh תָּב֔וֹא will come , tā·ḇō·w תִּֽהְיֶ֑ה and tih·yeh וּשְׁמֻעָ֥ה rumor ū·šə·mu·‘āh אֶל־ after ’el- שְׁמוּעָ֖ה rumor . šə·mū·‘āh וּבִקְשׁ֤וּ Then they will seek ū·ḇiq·šū חָזוֹן֙ a vision ḥā·zō·wn מִנָּבִ֔יא from a prophet , min·nā·ḇî וְתוֹרָה֙ but instruction wə·ṯō·w·rāh מִכֹּהֵ֔ן from the priests mik·kō·hên תֹּאבַ֣ד will perish , tō·ḇaḏ וְעֵצָ֖ה as will counsel wə·‘ê·ṣāh מִזְּקֵנִֽים׃ from the elders . miz·zə·qê·nîm Ezekiel 7:27 הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ The king ham·me·leḵ יִתְאַבָּ֗ל will mourn , yiṯ·’ab·bāl וְנָשִׂיא֙ the prince wə·nā·śî יִלְבַּ֣שׁ will be clothed yil·baš שְׁמָמָ֔ה with despair , šə·mā·māh וִידֵ֥י and the hands wî·ḏê עַם־ of the people ‘am- הָאָ֖רֶץ of the land hā·’ā·reṣ תִּבָּהַ֑לְנָה will tremble . tib·bā·hal·nāh אֶעֱשֶׂ֤ה I will deal ’e·‘ĕ·śeh אוֹתָם֙ with them ’ō·w·ṯām מִדַּרְכָּ֞ם according to their conduct , mid·dar·kām אֶשְׁפְּטֵ֔ם and I will judge them ’eš·pə·ṭêm וּבְמִשְׁפְּטֵיהֶ֣ם by their own standards . ū·ḇə·miš·pə·ṭê·hem וְיָדְע֖וּ Then they will know wə·yā·ḏə·‘ū כִּֽי־ that kî- אֲנִ֥י I ’ă·nî יְהוָֽה׃פ am YHWH . ’” Yah·weh Ezekiel 8:1 וַיְהִ֣י׀ - way·hî הַשִּׁשִּׁ֗ית In the sixth haš·šiš·šîṯ בַּשָּׁנָ֣ה year , baš·šā·nāh בַּחֲמִשָּׁ֣ה on the fifth ba·ḥă·miš·šāh לַחֹ֔דֶשׁ day la·ḥō·ḏeš בַּשִּׁשִּׁי֙ of the sixth month , baš·šiš·šî אֲנִי֙ I ’ă·nî יוֹשֵׁ֣ב was sitting yō·wō·šêḇ בְּבֵיתִ֔י in my house , bə·ḇê·ṯî וְזִקְנֵ֥י and the elders wə·ziq·nê יְהוּדָ֖ה of Judah yə·hū·ḏāh יוֹשְׁבִ֣ים were sitting yō·wō·šə·ḇîm לְפָנָ֑י before me ; lə·p̄ā·nāy שָׁ֔ם and there šām יַ֖ד the hand yaḏ אֲדֹנָ֥י of the Lord ’ă·ḏō·nāy יְהֹוִֽה׃ YHWH Yah·weh וַתִּפֹּ֤ל fell wat·tip·pōl עָלַי֙ upon me . ‘ā·lay Ezekiel 8:2 וָאֶרְאֶ֗ה Then I looked wā·’er·’eh וְהִנֵּ֤ה and saw wə·hin·nêh דְמוּת֙ a figure ḏə·mūṯ כְּמַרְאֵה־ like that of a man . kə·mar·’êh- מָתְנָ֛יו From His waist mā·ṯə·nāw וּלְמַ֖טָּה down ū·lə·maṭ·ṭāh מִמַּרְאֵ֥ה His appearance mim·mar·’êh אֵ֑שׁ was like fire ’êš אֵ֔שׁ . . . , ’êš וּמִמָּתְנָ֣יו and from His waist ū·mim·mā·ṯə·nāw וּלְמַ֔עְלָה up ū·lə·ma‘·lāh כְּמַרְאֵה־ [He] kə·mar·’êh-
