לָֽנוּ׃סuslā·nū
בַּמִּדְבָּ֖רin the wilderness .bam·miḏ·bār

מְשִׁ֣יחַ anointed , mə·šî·aḥ
ר֤וּחַthe breathrū·aḥ
אַפֵּ֙ינוּ֙ of our life , ’ap·pê·nū
נִלְכַּ֖דwas capturednil·kaḏ
בִּשְׁחִיתוֹתָ֑םin their pits .biš·ḥî·ṯō·w·ṯām
אָמַ֔רְנוּWe had said’ā·mar·nū
אֲשֶׁ֣ר of him , ’ă·šer
בְּצִלּ֖וֹ“ Under his shadowbə·ṣil·lōw
נִֽחְיֶ֥הwe will liveniḥ·yeh
בַגּוֹיִֽם׃סamong the nations . ”ḇag·gō·w·yim

וְשִׂמְחִי֙ and be glad , wə·śim·ḥî
בַּת־O Daughterbaṯ-
אֱד֔וֹם of Edom , ’ĕ·ḏō·wm
יוֹשַׁבְתִּי[you] who dwellyō·šaḇ·tī
בְּאֶ֣רֶץin the landbə·’e·reṣ
ע֑וּץof Uz .‘ūṣ
כּ֔וֹסYet the cupkō·ws
תַּעֲבָר־will passta·‘ă·ḇār-
עָלַ֙יִךְ֙to‘ā·la·yiḵ
גַּם־you as well ;gam-
תִּשְׁכְּרִ֖יyou will get drunktiš·kə·rî
וְתִתְעָרִֽי׃סand expose yourself .wə·ṯiṯ·‘ā·rî
Lamentations 4:22בַּת־O Daughterbaṯ-
צִיּ֔וֹן of Zion , ṣî·yō·wn
עֲוֺנֵךְ֙your punishment‘ă·wō·nêḵ
תַּם־is complete ;tam-
לֹ֥אHe will not
יוֹסִ֖יףprolongyō·w·sîp̄
לְהַגְלוֹתֵ֑ךְyour exile .lə·haḡ·lō·w·ṯêḵ
פָּקַ֤דBut He will punishpā·qaḏ
עֲוֺנֵךְ֙ your iniquity , ‘ă·wō·nêḵ
בַּת־O Daughterbaṯ-
אֱד֔וֹםof Edom ;’ĕ·ḏō·wm
גִּלָּ֖הHe will exposegil·lāh
עַל־. . .‘al-
חַטֹּאתָֽיִךְ׃פyour sins .ḥaṭ·ṭō·ṯā·yiḵ

יְהוָה֙ O YHWH , Yah·weh
מֶֽה־whatmeh-
הָ֣יָהhas happenedhā·yāh
לָ֔נוּto us .lā·nū

וּרְאֵ֥הand seeū·rə·’êh
אֶת־-’eṯ-
חֶרְפָּתֵֽנוּ׃our disgrace !ḥer·pā·ṯê·nū
Lamentations 5:2נַחֲלָתֵ֙נוּ֙Our inheritancena·ḥă·lā·ṯê·nū
נֶֽהֶפְכָ֣הhas been turned overne·hep̄·ḵāh
לְזָרִ֔ים to strangers , lə·zā·rîm
בָּתֵּ֖ינוּour housesbāt·tê·nū
