Lamentations 4:11 יְהוָה֙ YHWH Yah·weh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- כִּלָּ֤ה has exhausted kil·lāh חֲמָת֔וֹ His wrath ; ḥă·mā·ṯōw שָׁפַ֖ךְ He has poured out šā·p̄aḵ חֲר֣וֹן His fierce ḥă·rō·wn אַפּ֑וֹ anger ; ’ap·pōw וַיַּצֶּת־ He has kindled way·yaṣ·ṣeṯ- אֵ֣שׁ a fire ’êš בְּצִיּ֔וֹן in Zion , bə·ṣî·yō·wn וַתֹּ֖אכַל and it has consumed wat·tō·ḵal יְסוֹדֹתֶֽיהָ׃ס her foundations . yə·sō·w·ḏō·ṯe·hā Lamentations 4:12 מַלְכֵי־ The kings mal·ḵê- אֶ֔רֶץ of the earth ’e·reṣ לֹ֤א did not lō הֶאֱמִ֙ינוּ֙ believe , he·’ĕ·mî·nū וְכֹל nor any wə·ḵå̄l יֹשְׁבֵ֣י people yō·šə·ḇê תֵבֵ֑ל of the world , ṯê·ḇêl כִּ֤י that kî צַ֣ר an enemy ṣar וְאוֹיֵ֔ב or a foe wə·’ō·w·yêḇ יָבֹא֙ could enter yā·ḇō בְּשַׁעֲרֵ֖י the gates bə·ša·‘ă·rê יְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ס of Jerusalem . yə·rū·šā·lim Lamentations 4:13 מֵֽחַטֹּ֣את [But this was] for the sins mê·ḥaṭ·ṭōṯ נְבִיאֶ֔יהָ of her prophets nə·ḇî·’e·hā עֲוֺנ֖וֹת and the guilt ‘ă·wō·nō·wṯ כֹּהֲנֶ֑יהָ of her priests , kō·hă·ne·hā הַשֹּׁפְכִ֥ים who shed haš·šō·p̄ə·ḵîm דַּ֥ם the blood dam צַדִּיקִֽים׃ס of the righteous ṣad·dî·qîm בְּקִרְבָּ֖הּ in her midst . bə·qir·bāh Lamentations 4:14 נָע֤וּ They wandered nā·‘ū עִוְרִים֙ blind ‘iw·rîm בַּֽחוּצ֔וֹת in the streets , ba·ḥū·ṣō·wṯ נְגֹֽאֲל֖וּ defiled nə·ḡō·’ă·lū בַּדָּ֑ם by this blood , bad·dām בְּלֹ֣א so that no bə·lō יֽוּכְל֔וּ one dared yū·ḵə·lū יִגְּע֖וּ to touch yig·gə·‘ū בִּלְבֻשֵׁיהֶֽם׃ס their garments . bil·ḇu·šê·hem Lamentations 4:15 ס֣וּרוּ “ Go away ! sū·rū טָמֵ֞א Unclean ! ” ṭā·mê קָ֣רְאוּ men shouted qā·rə·’ū לָ֗מוֹ at them . lā·mōw ס֤וּרוּ “ Away , sū·rū ס֙וּרוּ֙ away ! sū·rū אַל־ Do not ’al- תִּגָּ֔עוּ touch us ! ” tig·gā·‘ū כִּ֥י So kî נָצ֖וּ they fled nā·ṣū גַּם־ and gam- נָ֑עוּ wandered . nā·‘ū בַּגּוֹיִ֔ם Among the nations bag·gō·w·yim אָֽמְרוּ֙ it was said , ’ā·mə·rū לָגֽוּר׃ס “ They can stay lā·ḡūr לֹ֥א here no lō יוֹסִ֖יפוּ longer . ” yō·w·sî·p̄ū Lamentations 4:16 פְּנֵ֤י The presence pə·nê יְהוָה֙ of YHWH Yah·weh חִלְּקָ֔ם has scattered them ; ḥil·lə·qām לְהַבִּיטָ֑ם He regards them lə·hab·bî·ṭām לֹ֥א no lō יוֹסִ֖יף more . yō·w·sîp̄ כֹהֲנִים֙ The priests ḵō·hă·nîm לֹ֣א vvv lō פְּנֵ֤י vvv pə·nê נָשָׂ֔אוּ are shown no honor ; nā·śā·’ū זְקֵנִים the elders zə·qē·nīm לֹ֥א find no lō חָנָֽנוּ׃ס favor . ḥā·nā·nū Lamentations 4:17 עוֹדֵינָה All the while ʿō·ḏē·nå̄h עֵינֵ֔ינוּ our eyes ‘ê·nê·nū תִּכְלֶ֣ינָה were failing tiḵ·le·nāh הָ֑בֶל as we looked in vain hā·ḇel אֶל־ for ’el- עֶזְרָתֵ֖נוּ help . ‘ez·rā·ṯê·nū בְּצִפִּיָּתֵ֣נוּ We watched bə·ṣip·pî·yā·ṯê·nū צִפִּ֔ינוּ from our towers ṣip·pî·nū אֶל־ for ’el- גּ֖וֹי a nation gō·w
