Lamentations 5:14 זְקֵנִים֙ The elders zə·qê·nîm שָׁבָ֔תוּ have left šā·ḇā·ṯū מִשַּׁ֣עַר the city gate ; miš·ša·‘ar בַּחוּרִ֖ים the young men ba·ḥū·rîm מִנְּגִינָתָֽם׃ [have stopped] their music . min·nə·ḡî·nā·ṯām Lamentations 5:15 מְשׂ֣וֹשׂ Joy mə·śō·wś שָׁבַת֙ has left šā·ḇaṯ לִבֵּ֔נוּ our hearts ; lib·bê·nū מְחֹלֵֽנוּ׃ our dancing mə·ḥō·lê·nū נֶהְפַּ֥ךְ has turned neh·paḵ לְאֵ֖בֶל to mourning . lə·’ê·ḇel Lamentations 5:16 עֲטֶ֣רֶת The crown ‘ă·ṭe·reṯ נָֽפְלָה֙ has fallen nā·p̄ə·lāh רֹאשֵׁ֔נוּ from our head . rō·šê·nū אֽוֹי־ Woe ’ō·w- נָ֥א . . . nā לָ֖נוּ to us , lā·nū כִּ֥י for kî חָטָֽאנוּ׃ we have sinned ! ḥā·ṭā·nū Lamentations 5:17 עַל־ Because of ‘al- זֶ֗ה this , zeh לִבֵּ֔נוּ our hearts lib·bê·nū הָיָ֤ה are hā·yāh דָוֶה֙ faint ; ḏā·weh עַל־ because of ‘al- אֵ֖לֶּה these , ’êl·leh עֵינֵֽינוּ׃ our eyes ‘ê·nê·nū חָשְׁכ֥וּ grow dim — ḥā·šə·ḵū Lamentations 5:18 עַ֤ל because of ‘al הַר־ Mount har- צִיּוֹן֙ Zion , ṣî·yō·wn שֶׁשָּׁמֵ֔ם which lies desolate , šeš·šā·mêm הִלְּכוּ־ patrolled hil·lə·ḵū- בֽוֹ׃פ ḇōw שׁוּעָלִ֖ים by foxes . šū·‘ā·lîm Lamentations 5:19 אַתָּ֤ה You , ’at·tāh יְהוָה֙ O YHWH , Yah·weh תֵּשֵׁ֔ב reign tê·šêḇ לְעוֹלָ֣ם forever ; lə·‘ō·w·lām כִּסְאֲךָ֖ Your throne kis·’ă·ḵā לְדֹ֥ר endures from generation lə·ḏōr וָדֽוֹר׃ to generation . wā·ḏō·wr Lamentations 5:20 לָ֤מָּה Why lām·māh תִּשְׁכָּחֵ֔נוּ have You forgotten us tiš·kā·ḥê·nū לָנֶ֙צַח֙ forever ? lā·ne·ṣaḥ תַּֽעַזְבֵ֖נוּ Why have You forsaken us ta·‘az·ḇê·nū לְאֹ֥רֶךְ for so long lə·’ō·reḵ יָמִֽים׃ . . . ? yā·mîm Lamentations 5:21 הֲשִׁיבֵ֨נוּ Restore us hă·šî·ḇê·nū אֵלֶ֙יךָ֙ to Yourself , ’ê·le·ḵā יְהוָ֤ה׀ O YHWH , Yah·weh וְנָשׁוּב so we may return ; wə·nå̄·šūḇ חַדֵּ֥שׁ renew ḥad·dêš יָמֵ֖ינוּ our days yā·mê·nū כְּקֶֽדֶם׃ as of old , kə·qe·ḏem Lamentations 5:22 כִּ֚י unless kî אִם־ . . . ’im- מָאֹ֣ס You have utterly rejected us mā·’ōs מְאַסְתָּ֔נוּ . . . mə·’as·tā·nū קָצַ֥פְתָּ and remain angry qā·ṣap̄·tā עָלֵ֖ינוּ with us ‘ā·lê·nū עַד־ beyond measure ‘aḏ- מְאֹֽד׃ . . . . mə·’ōḏ Ezekiel 1:1 וַיְהִ֣י׀ - way·hî בִּשְׁלֹשִׁ֣ים In the thirtieth biš·lō·šîm שָׁנָ֗ה year , šā·nāh בַּחֲמִשָּׁ֣ה on the fifth ba·ḥă·miš·šāh לַחֹ֔דֶשׁ day la·ḥō·ḏeš בָּֽרְבִיעִי֙ of the fourth month , bā·rə·ḇî·‘î וַאֲנִ֥י while I wa·’ă·nî בְתֽוֹךְ־ was among ḇə·ṯō·wḵ- הַגּוֹלָ֖ה the exiles hag·gō·w·lāh
