עָ֑יִן to the eye ; ‘ā·yin שָׁפַ֥ךְ He has poured out šā·p̄aḵ חֲמָתֽוֹ׃ס His wrath ḥă·mā·ṯōw כָּאֵ֖שׁ like fire kā·’êš בְּאֹ֙הֶל֙ on the tent bə·’ō·hel בַּת־ of the Daughter baṯ- צִיּ֔וֹן of Zion . ṣî·yō·wn Lamentations 2:5 אֲדֹנָ֤י׀ The Lord ’ă·ḏō·nāy הָיָ֨ה is hā·yāh כְּאוֹיֵב֙ like an enemy ; kə·’ō·w·yêḇ בִּלַּ֣ע He has swallowed up bil·la‘ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל Israel . yiś·rā·’êl בִּלַּע֙ He has swallowed up bil·la‘ כָּל־ all kāl- אַרְמְנוֹתֶ֔יהָ her palaces ’ar·mə·nō·w·ṯe·hā שִׁחֵ֖ת and destroyed ši·ḥêṯ מִבְצָרָ֑יו her strongholds . miḇ·ṣā·rāw וַיֶּ֙רֶב֙ He has multiplied way·ye·reḇ תַּאֲנִיָּ֖ה mourning ta·’ă·nî·yāh וַאֲנִיָּֽה׃ס and lamentation wa·’ă·nî·yāh בְּבַת־ for the Daughter bə·ḇaṯ- יְהוּדָ֔ה of Judah . yə·hū·ḏāh Lamentations 2:6 וַיַּחְמֹ֤ס He has laid waste way·yaḥ·mōs שֻׂכּ֔וֹ His tabernacle śuk·kōw כַּגַּן֙ like a garden booth ; kag·gan שִׁחֵ֖ת He has destroyed ši·ḥêṯ מוֹעֲד֑וֹ His place of meeting . mō·w·‘ă·ḏōw יְהוָ֤ה׀ YHWH Yah·weh שִׁכַּ֨ח has made Zion forget šik·kaḥ בְּצִיּוֹן֙ . . . bə·ṣî·yō·wn מוֹעֵ֣ד her appointed feasts mō·w·‘êḏ וְשַׁבָּ֔ת and Sabbaths . wə·šab·bāṯ בְּזַֽעַם־ In His fierce anger bə·za·‘am- אַפּ֖וֹ . . . ’ap·pōw וַיִּנְאַ֥ץ He has despised way·yin·’aṣ מֶ֥לֶךְ [both] king me·leḵ וְכֹהֵֽן׃ס and priest . wə·ḵō·hên Lamentations 2:7 אֲדֹנָ֤י׀ The Lord ’ă·ḏō·nāy זָנַ֨ח has rejected zā·naḥ מִזְבְּחוֹ֙ His altar ; miz·bə·ḥōw נִאֵ֣ר He has abandoned ni·’êr מִקְדָּשׁ֔וֹ His sanctuary ; miq·dā·šōw הִסְגִּיר֙ He has delivered his·gîr חוֹמֹ֖ת the walls ḥō·w·mōṯ אַרְמְנוֹתֶ֑יהָ of her palaces ’ar·mə·nō·w·ṯe·hā בְּיַד־ into the hand bə·yaḏ- אוֹיֵ֔ב of the enemy . ’ō·w·yêḇ נָתְנ֥וּ They have raised nā·ṯə·nū ק֛וֹל a shout qō·wl בְּבֵית־ in the house bə·ḇêṯ- יְהוָ֖ה of YHWH Yah·weh כְּי֥וֹם as on the day kə·yō·wm מוֹעֵֽד׃ס of an appointed feast . mō·w·‘êḏ Lamentations 2:8 יְהוָ֤ה׀ YHWH Yah·weh חָשַׁ֨ב determined ḥā·šaḇ לְהַשְׁחִית֙ to destroy lə·haš·ḥîṯ חוֹמַ֣ת the wall ḥō·w·maṯ בַּת־ of the Daughter baṯ- צִיּ֔וֹן of Zion . ṣî·yō·wn נָ֣טָה He stretched out nā·ṭāh קָ֔ו a measuring line qāw לֹא־ and did not lō- הֵשִׁ֥יב withdraw hê·šîḇ יָד֖וֹ His hand yā·ḏōw מִבַּלֵּ֑עַ from destroying . mib·bal·lê·a‘ חֵ֥ל He made the ramparts ḥêl וְחוֹמָ֖ה and walls wə·ḥō·w·māh וַיַּֽאֲבֶל־ lament ; way·ya·’ă·ḇel- יַחְדָּ֥ו together yaḥ·dāw אֻמְלָֽלוּ׃ס they waste away . ’um·lā·lū Lamentations 2:9 שְׁעָרֶ֔יהָ Her gates šə·‘ā·re·hā טָבְע֤וּ have sunk ṭā·ḇə·‘ū בָאָ֙רֶץ֙ into the ground ; ḇā·’ā·reṣ אִבַּ֥ד He has destroyed ’ib·baḏ וְשִׁבַּ֖ר and shattered wə·šib·bar בְּרִיחֶ֑יהָ their bars . bə·rî·ḥe·hā מַלְכָּ֨הּ Her king mal·kāh וְשָׂרֶ֤יהָ and her princes wə·śā·re·hā בַגּוֹיִם֙ are [exiled] among the nations , ḇag·gō·w·yim תּוֹרָ֔ה the law tō·w·rāh אֵ֣ין is no more , ’ên גַּם־ and even gam- נְבִיאֶ֕יהָ her prophets nə·ḇî·’e·hā מָצְא֥וּ find mā·ṣə·’ū לֹא־ no lō-
