עַ֚ד until ‘aḏ לַמֶּ֖לֶךְ King lam·me·leḵ צִדְקִיָּֽהוּ׃ Zedekiah’s ṣiḏ·qî·yā·hū עַשְׁתֵּ֣י eleventh ‘aš·tê עֶשְׂרֵ֣ה . . . ‘eś·rêh שָׁנָ֔ה year . šā·nāh Jeremiah 52:6 בְּתִשְׁעָ֣ה By the ninth [day] bə·ṯiš·‘āh לַחֹ֔דֶשׁ . . . la·ḥō·ḏeš הָֽרְבִיעִי֙ of the fourth hā·rə·ḇî·‘î בַּחֹ֤דֶשׁ month , ba·ḥō·ḏeš הָרָעָ֖ב the famine hā·rā·‘āḇ בָּעִ֑יר in the city bā·‘îr וַיֶּחֱזַ֥ק was so severe way·ye·ḥĕ·zaq לְעַ֥ם that the people lə·‘am הָאָֽרֶץ׃ of the land hā·’ā·reṣ הָיָ֥ה had hā·yāh וְלֹא־ no wə·lō- לֶ֖חֶם food . le·ḥem Jeremiah 52:7 הָעִ֗יר Then the city hā·‘îr וַתִּבָּקַ֣ע was breached ; wat·tib·bā·qa‘ וְכַשְׂדִּ֥ים and though the Chaldeans wə·ḵaś·dîm עַל־ . . . ‘al- סָבִ֑יב had surrounded sā·ḇîḇ הָעִ֖יר the city , hā·‘îr וְכָל־ all wə·ḵāl אַנְשֵׁ֣י the men ’an·šê הַמִּלְחָמָ֡ה of war ham·mil·ḥā·māh יִבְרְחוּ֩ fled yiḇ·rə·ḥū וַיֵּצְא֨וּ - way·yê·ṣə·’ū מֵהָעִ֜יר the city mê·hā·‘îr לַ֗יְלָה by night lay·lāh דֶּ֜רֶךְ by way de·reḵ שַׁ֤עַר of the gate ša·‘ar בֵּין־ between bên- הַחֹמֹתַ֙יִם֙ the two walls ha·ḥō·mō·ṯa·yim אֲשֶׁר֙ - ’ă·šer עַל־ near ‘al- הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ the king’s ham·me·leḵ גַּ֣ן garden . gan וַיֵּלְכ֖וּ They headed way·yê·lə·ḵū דֶּ֥רֶךְ toward de·reḵ הָעֲרָבָֽה׃ the Arabah , hā·‘ă·rā·ḇāh Jeremiah 52:8 חֵיל־ but the army ḥêl- כַּשְׂדִּים֙ of the Chaldeans kaś·dîm אַחֲרֵ֣י - ’a·ḥă·rê וַיִּרְדְּפ֤וּ pursued way·yir·də·p̄ū הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ the king ham·me·leḵ וַיַּשִּׂ֥יגוּ and overtook way·yaś·śî·ḡū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- צִדְקִיָּ֖הוּ Zedekiah ṣiḏ·qî·yā·hū בְּעַֽרְבֹ֣ת in the plains bə·‘ar·ḇōṯ יְרֵח֑וֹ of Jericho , yə·rê·ḥōw וְכָל־ and all wə·ḵāl חֵיל֔וֹ his army ḥê·lōw נָפֹ֖צוּ was separated nā·p̄ō·ṣū מֵעָלָֽיו׃ from him . mê·‘ā·lāw Jeremiah 52:9 וַֽיִּתְפְּשׂוּ֙ [The Chaldeans] seized way·yiṯ·pə·śū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ the king ham·me·leḵ וַיַּעֲל֨וּ and brought him up way·ya·‘ă·lū אֹת֜וֹ - ’ō·ṯōw אֶל־ to ’el- מֶ֧לֶךְ the king me·leḵ בָּבֶ֛ל of Babylon bā·ḇel רִבְלָ֖תָה at Riblah riḇ·lā·ṯāh בְּאֶ֣רֶץ in the land bə·’e·reṣ חֲמָ֑ת of Hamath , ḥă·māṯ וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר where he pronounced way·ḏab·bêr מִשְׁפָּטִֽים׃ judgment miš·pā·ṭîm אִתּ֖וֹ on [Zedekiah] . ’it·tōw Jeremiah 52:10 בְּרִבְלָֽתָה׃ There at Riblah bə·riḇ·lā·ṯāh מֶֽלֶךְ־ the king me·leḵ- בָּבֶ֛ל of Babylon bā·ḇel אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיִּשְׁחַ֧ט slaughtered way·yiš·ḥaṭ בְּנֵ֥י the sons bə·nê צִדְקִיָּ֖הוּ of Zedekiah ṣiḏ·qî·yā·hū לְעֵינָ֑יו before his eyes , lə·‘ê·nāw וְגַ֛ם and he also wə·ḡam שָׁחַ֥ט killed šā·ḥaṭ אֶת־ ’eṯ- כָּל־ all kāl- שָׂרֵ֥י the officials śā·rê יְהוּדָ֖ה of Judah . yə·hū·ḏāh
