בָבֶ֔ל of Babylon . ḇā·ḇel וְכָל־ Her entire wə·ḵāl אַרְצָ֖הּ land ’ar·ṣāh תֵּב֑וֹשׁ will suffer shame , tê·ḇō·wōš וְכָל־ and all wə·ḵāl חֲלָלֶ֖יהָ her slain ḥă·lā·le·hā יִפְּל֥וּ will lie fallen yip·pə·lū בְתוֹכָֽהּ׃ within her . ḇə·ṯō·w·ḵāh Jeremiah 51:48 שָׁמַ֣יִם Then heaven šā·ma·yim וָאָ֔רֶץ and earth wā·’ā·reṣ וְכֹ֖ל and all wə·ḵōl אֲשֶׁ֣ר that ’ă·šer בָּהֶ֑ם is in them bā·hem וְרִנְּנ֤וּ will shout for joy wə·rin·nə·nū עַל־ over ‘al- בָּבֶל֙ Babylon bā·ḇel כִּ֧י because kî הַשּׁוֹדְדִ֖ים the destroyers haš·šō·wḏ·ḏîm מִצָּפ֛וֹן from the north miṣ·ṣā·p̄ō·wn יָבוֹא־ will come yā·ḇō·w- לָ֥הּ against her , ” lāh נְאֻם־ declares nə·’um- יְהוָֽה׃ YHWH . Yah·weh Jeremiah 51:49 גַּם־ “ - gam- בָּבֶ֕ל Babylon bā·ḇel לִנְפֹּ֖ל must fall lin·pōl חַֽלְלֵ֣י on account of the slain ḥal·lê יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל of Israel , yiś·rā·’êl גַּם־ just as gam- חַֽלְלֵ֥י the slain ḥal·lê כָל־ of all ḵāl הָאָֽרֶץ׃ the earth hā·’ā·reṣ נָפְל֖וּ have fallen nā·p̄ə·lū לְבָבֶ֥ל because of Babylon . lə·ḇā·ḇel Jeremiah 51:50 פְּלֵטִ֣ים You who have escaped pə·lê·ṭîm מֵחֶ֔רֶב the sword , mê·ḥe·reḇ הִלְכ֖וּ depart hil·ḵū אַֽל־ and do not ’al- תַּעֲמֹ֑דוּ linger ! ta·‘ă·mō·ḏū זִכְר֤וּ Remember ziḵ·rū יְהוָ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh מֵֽרָחוֹק֙ from far away , mê·rā·ḥō·wq אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וִירֽוּשָׁלִַ֖ם and let Jerusalem wî·rū·šā·lim תַּעֲלֶ֥ה come ta·‘ă·leh עַל־ to ‘al- לְבַבְכֶֽם׃ mind . ” lə·ḇaḇ·ḵem Jeremiah 51:51 בֹּ֚שְׁנוּ “ We are ashamed bō·šə·nū כִּֽי־ because kî- שָׁמַ֣עְנוּ we have heard šā·ma‘·nū חֶרְפָּ֔ה reproach ; ḥer·pāh כְלִמָּ֖ה disgrace ḵə·lim·māh כִּסְּתָ֥ה has covered kis·sə·ṯāh פָּנֵ֑ינוּ our faces , pā·nê·nū כִּ֚י because kî זָרִ֔ים foreigners zā·rîm בָּ֣אוּ have entered bā·’ū עַֽל־ . . . ‘al- מִקְדְּשֵׁ֖י the holy places miq·də·šê יְהוָֽה׃ס of YHWH’s Yah·weh בֵּ֥ית house . ” bêṯ Jeremiah 51:52 לָכֵ֞ן “ Therefore , lā·ḵên הִנֵּֽה־ behold , hin·nêh- יָמִ֤ים the days yā·mîm בָּאִים֙ are coming , ” bā·’îm נְאֻם־ declares nə·’um- יְהוָ֔ה YHWH , Yah·weh וּפָקַדְתִּ֖י “ when I will punish ū·p̄ā·qaḏ·tî עַל־ . . . ‘al- פְּסִילֶ֑יהָ her idols , pə·sî·le·hā וּבְכָל־ and throughout ū·ḇə·ḵāl אַרְצָ֖הּ her land ’ar·ṣāh חָלָֽל׃ the wounded ḥā·lāl יֶאֱנֹ֥ק will groan . ye·’ĕ·nōq Jeremiah 51:53 כִּֽי־ Even if kî- בָבֶל֙ Babylon ḇā·ḇel תַעֲלֶ֤ה ascends ṯa·‘ă·leh הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם to the heavens haš·šā·ma·yim וְכִ֥י . . . wə·ḵî תְבַצֵּ֖ר and fortifies ṯə·ḇaṣ·ṣêr מְר֣וֹם her lofty mə·rō·wm עֻזָּ֑הּ stronghold , ‘uz·zāh
