יִשְׂרָאֵ֤ל Israel yiś·rā·’êl וִֽיהוּדָה֙ and Judah wî·hū·ḏāh לֹֽא־ have not lō- אַלְמָ֨ן been abandoned ’al·mān מֵֽאֱלֹהָ֔יו by their God , mê·’ĕ·lō·hāw מֵֽיְהוָ֖ה YHWH Yah·weh צְבָא֑וֹת of Hosts , ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ כִּ֤י though kî אַרְצָם֙ their land ’ar·ṣām מָלְאָ֣ה is full of mā·lə·’āh אָשָׁ֔ם guilt ’ā·šām מִקְּד֖וֹשׁ before the Holy miq·qə·ḏō·wōš יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ One of Israel . ” yiś·rā·’êl Jeremiah 51:6 נֻ֣סוּ׀ Flee nu·sū מִתּ֣וֹךְ from mit·tō·wḵ בָּבֶ֗ל Babylon ! bā·ḇel וּמַלְּטוּ֙ Escape ū·mal·lə·ṭū אִ֣ישׁ with your ’îš נַפְשׁ֔וֹ lives ! nap̄·šōw אַל־ Do not ’al- תִּדַּ֖מּוּ be destroyed tid·dam·mū בַּעֲוֺנָ֑הּ in her punishment . ba·‘ă·wō·nāh כִּי֩ For kî הִיא֙ this hî עֵ֨ת is the time ‘êṯ לַֽיהוָ֔ה of YHWH’s Yah·weh נְקָמָ֥ה vengeance ; nə·qā·māh ה֥וּא He hū מְשַׁלֵּ֖ם will pay mə·šal·lêm לָֽהּ׃ her lāh גְּמ֕וּל what she deserves . gə·mūl Jeremiah 51:7 בָּבֶל֙ Babylon bā·ḇel זָהָ֤ב was a gold zā·hāḇ כּוֹס־ cup kō·ws- בְּיַד־ in the hand bə·yaḏ- יְהוָ֔ה of YHWH , Yah·weh כָּל־ making the whole kāl- הָאָ֑רֶץ earth hā·’ā·reṣ מְשַׁכֶּ֖רֶת drunk . mə·šak·ke·reṯ גוֹיִ֔ם The nations ḡō·w·yim שָׁת֣וּ drank šā·ṯū מִיֵּינָהּ֙ her wine ; mî·yê·nāh עַל־ therefore ‘al- כֵּ֖ן . . . kên גוֹיִֽם׃ the nations ḡō·w·yim יִתְהֹלְל֥וּ have gone mad . yiṯ·hō·lə·lū Jeremiah 51:8 פִּתְאֹ֛ם Suddenly piṯ·’ōm בָבֶ֖ל Babylon ḇā·ḇel נָפְלָ֥ה has fallen nā·p̄ə·lāh וַתִּשָּׁבֵ֑ר and been shattered . wat·tiš·šā·ḇêr הֵילִ֣ילוּ Wail hê·lî·lū עָלֶ֗יהָ for her ; ‘ā·le·hā קְח֤וּ get her qə·ḥū צֳרִי֙ balm ṣo·rî לְמַכְאוֹבָ֔הּ for her pain ; lə·maḵ·’ō·w·ḇāh אוּלַ֖י perhaps ’ū·lay תֵּרָפֵֽא׃ she can be healed . tê·rā·p̄ê Jeremiah 51:9 רִפִּאנוּ “ We tried to heal rip·pi·nū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- בָּבֶל֙ Babylon , bā·ḇel וְלֹ֣א but she could not wə·lō נִרְפָּ֔תָה be healed . nir·pā·ṯāh עִזְב֕וּהָ Abandon her ! ‘iz·ḇū·hā אִ֣ישׁ Let each ’îš וְנֵלֵ֖ךְ of us go wə·nê·lêḵ לְאַרְצ֑וֹ to his own land , lə·’ar·ṣōw כִּֽי־ for kî- מִשְׁפָּטָ֔הּ her judgment miš·pā·ṭāh נָגַ֤ע extends nā·ḡa‘ אֶל־ to ’el- הַשָּׁמַ֙יִם֙ the sky haš·šā·ma·yim וְנִשָּׂ֖א and reaches wə·niś·śā עַד־ to ‘aḏ- שְׁחָקִֽים׃ the clouds . ” šə·ḥā·qîm Jeremiah 51:10 יְהוָ֖ה “ YHWH Yah·weh הוֹצִ֥יא has brought forth hō·w·ṣî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- צִדְקֹתֵ֑ינוּ our vindication ; ṣiḏ·qō·ṯê·nū בֹּ֚אוּ come , bō·’ū וּנְסַפְּרָ֣ה let us tell ū·nə·sap·pə·rāh בְצִיּ֔וֹן in Zion ḇə·ṣî·yō·wn יְהוָ֥ה what YHWH Yah·weh אֶֽת־ - ’eṯ- אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃ our God ’ĕ·lō·hê·nū מַעֲשֵׂ֖ה has accomplished . ” ma·‘ă·śêh
