Jeremiah 50:45 לָכֵ֞ן Therefore lā·ḵên שִׁמְע֣וּ hear šim·‘ū עֲצַת־ the plans ‘ă·ṣaṯ- אֲשֶׁ֤ר that ’ă·šer יְהוָ֗ה YHWH Yah·weh יָעַץ֙ has drawn up yā·‘aṣ אֶל־ against ’el- בָּבֶ֔ל Babylon bā·ḇel וּמַ֨חְשְׁבוֹתָ֔יו and the strategies ū·maḥ·šə·ḇō·w·ṯāw אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer חָשַׁ֖ב He has devised ḥā·šaḇ אֶל־ against ’el- אֶ֣רֶץ the land ’e·reṣ כַּשְׂדִּ֑ים of the Chaldeans : kaś·dîm אִם־ Surely ’im- לֹ֤א . . . lō צְעִירֵ֣י the little ones ṣə·‘î·rê הַצֹּ֔אן of the flock haṣ·ṣōn יִסְחָבוּם֙ will be dragged away ; yis·ḥā·ḇūm אִם־ certainly ’im- לֹ֥א . . . lō נָוֶֽה׃ their pasture nā·weh יַשִּׁ֛ים will be made desolate yaš·šîm עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם because of them . ‘ă·lê·hem Jeremiah 50:46 מִקּוֹל֙ At the sound miq·qō·wl בָבֶ֔ל of Babylon’s ḇā·ḇel נִתְפְּשָׂ֣ה capture niṯ·pə·śāh הָאָ֑רֶץ the earth hā·’ā·reṣ נִרְעֲשָׁ֖ה will quake ; nir·‘ă·šāh וּזְעָקָ֖ה a cry ū·zə·‘ā·qāh נִשְׁמָֽע׃ס will be heard niš·mā‘ בַּגּוֹיִ֥ם among the nations . bag·gō·w·yim Jeremiah 51:1 כֹּ֚ה This is what kōh יְהוָ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh אָמַ֣ר says : ’ā·mar הִנְנִי֙ “ Behold , hin·nî מֵעִ֣יר I will stir up mê·‘îr עַל־ against ‘al- בָּבֶ֔ל Babylon bā·ḇel וְאֶל־ and against wə·’el- יֹשְׁבֵ֖י the people yō·šə·ḇê לֵ֣ב of Leb-kamai lêḇ קָמָ֑י . . . qā·māy ר֖וּחַ the spirit rū·aḥ מַשְׁחִֽית׃ of a destroyer . maš·ḥîṯ Jeremiah 51:2 וְשִׁלַּחְתִּ֨י I will send wə·šil·laḥ·tî זָרִים֙ strangers zā·rîm לְבָבֶ֤ל׀ to Babylon lə·ḇā·ḇel וְזֵר֔וּהָ to winnow her wə·zê·rū·hā וִיבֹקְק֖וּ and empty wî·ḇō·qə·qū אֶת־ her ’eṯ- אַרְצָ֑הּ land ; ’ar·ṣāh כִּֽי־ for kî- הָי֥וּ they will come hā·yū עָלֶ֛יהָ against her ‘ā·le·hā מִסָּבִ֖יב from every side mis·sā·ḇîḇ בְּי֥וֹם in her day bə·yō·wm רָעָֽה׃ of disaster . rā·‘āh Jeremiah 51:3 אֶֽל־ - ’el- יִדְרֹ֤ךְ Do not let the archer yiḏ·rōḵ הַדֹּרֵךְ֙ bend had·dō·rêḵ קַשְׁתּ֔וֹ his bow qaš·tōw יִתְעַ֖ל [or] yiṯ·‘al בְּסִרְיֹנ֑וֹ put on his armor . bə·sir·yō·nōw וְאַֽל־ . . . wə·’al- וְאֶל־ Do not wə·’el- תַּחְמְלוּ֙ spare taḥ·mə·lū אֶל־ . . . ’el- בַּ֣חֻרֶ֔יהָ her young men ; ba·ḥu·re·hā הַחֲרִ֖ימוּ devote ha·ḥă·rî·mū כָּל־ all kāl- צְבָאָֽהּ׃ her army {to destruction} ! ṣə·ḇā·’āh Jeremiah 51:4 וְנָפְל֥וּ And they will fall wə·nā·p̄ə·lū חֲלָלִ֖ים slain ḥă·lā·lîm בְּאֶ֣רֶץ in the land bə·’e·reṣ כַּשְׂדִּ֑ים of the Chaldeans , kaś·dîm וּמְדֻקָּרִ֖ים and pierced through ū·mə·ḏuq·qā·rîm בְּחוּצוֹתֶֽיהָ׃ in her streets . bə·ḥū·ṣō·w·ṯe·hā Jeremiah 51:5 כִּ֠י For kî
