Jeremiah 51:11 הָבֵ֣רוּ Sharpen hā·ḇê·rū הַחִצִּים֮ the arrows ! ha·ḥiṣ·ṣîm מִלְא֣וּ Fill mil·’ū הַשְּׁלָטִים֒ the quivers ! haš·šə·lā·ṭîm יְהוָ֗ה YHWH Yah·weh הֵעִ֣יר has aroused hê·‘îr אֶת־ - ’eṯ- ר֙וּחַ֙ the spirit rū·aḥ מַלְכֵ֣י of the kings mal·ḵê מָדַ֔י of the Medes , mā·ḏay כִּֽי־ because kî- מְזִמָּת֖וֹ His plan mə·zim·mā·ṯōw עַל־ is aimed at ‘al- בָּבֶ֥ל Babylon bā·ḇel לְהַשְׁחִיתָ֑הּ to destroy her , lə·haš·ḥî·ṯāh כִּֽי־ for kî- הִ֔יא it hî נִקְמַ֤ת [is] the vengeance niq·maṯ יְהוָה֙ of YHWH — Yah·weh נִקְמַ֖ת vengeance niq·maṯ הֵיכָלֽוֹ׃ for His temple . hê·ḵā·lōw Jeremiah 51:12 שְׂאוּ־ Raise śə·’ū- נֵ֗ס a banner nês אֶל־ against ’el- חוֹמֹ֨ת the walls ḥō·w·mōṯ בָּבֶ֜ל of Babylon ; bā·ḇel הַחֲזִ֙יקוּ֙ post ha·ḥă·zî·qū הַמִּשְׁמָ֔ר the guard ; ham·miš·mār הָקִ֙ימוּ֙ station hā·qî·mū שֹֽׁמְרִ֔ים the watchmen ; šō·mə·rîm הָכִ֖ינוּ prepare hā·ḵî·nū הָאֹֽרְבִ֑ים the ambush . hā·’ō·rə·ḇîm כִּ֚י For kî יְהוָ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh גַּם־ has both gam- זָמַ֣ם devised zā·mam גַּם־ and gam- עָשָׂ֕ה accomplished ‘ā·śāh אֵ֥ת - ’êṯ אֲשֶׁר־ what ’ă·šer- דִּבֶּ֖ר He spoke dib·ber אֶל־ against ’el- יֹשְׁבֵ֥י the people yō·šə·ḇê בָבֶֽל׃ of Babylon . ḇā·ḇel Jeremiah 51:13 שֹׁכַנְתִּי You who dwell šō·ḵan·tī עַל־ by ‘al- רַבִּ֔ים many rab·bîm מַ֣יִם waters , ma·yim רַבַּ֖ת rich rab·baṯ אֽוֹצָרֹ֑ת in treasures , ’ō·w·ṣā·rōṯ קִצֵּ֖ךְ your end qiṣ·ṣêḵ בָּ֥א has come ; bā אַמַּ֥ת the thread of your life ’am·maṯ בִּצְעֵֽךְ׃ is cut . biṣ·‘êḵ Jeremiah 51:14 יְהוָ֥ה YHWH Yah·weh צְבָא֖וֹת of Hosts ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ נִשְׁבַּ֛ע has sworn niš·ba‘ בְּנַפְשׁ֑וֹ by Himself : bə·nap̄·šōw כִּ֣י “ Surely kî אִם־ . . . ’im- מִלֵּאתִ֤יךְ I will fill you up mil·lê·ṯîḵ אָדָם֙ with men ’ā·ḏām כַּיֶּ֔לֶק as with locusts , kay·ye·leq וְעָנ֥וּ and they will shout in triumph wə·‘ā·nū הֵידָֽד׃ס . . . hê·ḏāḏ עָלַ֖יִךְ over you . ” ‘ā·la·yiḵ Jeremiah 51:15 עֹשֵׂ֥ה [YHWH] made ‘ō·śêh אֶ֙רֶץ֙ the earth ’e·reṣ בְּכֹח֔וֹ by His power ; bə·ḵō·ḥōw מֵכִ֥ין He established mê·ḵîn תֵּבֵ֖ל the world tê·ḇêl בְּחָכְמָת֑וֹ by His wisdom bə·ḥā·ḵə·mā·ṯōw נָטָ֥ה and stretched out nā·ṭāh שָׁמָֽיִם׃ the heavens šā·mā·yim וּבִתְבוּנָת֖וֹ by His understanding . ū·ḇiṯ·ḇū·nā·ṯōw Jeremiah 51:16 לְק֨וֹל When He thunders lə·qō·wl תִּתּ֜וֹ . . . , tit·tōw מַ֙יִם֙ the waters ma·yim בַּשָּׁמַ֔יִם in the heavens baš·šā·ma·yim הֲמ֥וֹן roar ; hă·mō·wn נְשִׂאִ֖ים He causes the clouds nə·śi·’îm וַיַּ֥עַל to rise way·ya·‘al
