נַחֲלָתִ֑י My inheritance — na·ḥă·lā·ṯî כִּ֤י because kî תָפוּשִׁי you frolic ṯå̄·p̄ū·šī כְּעֶגְלָ֣ה like a heifer kə·‘eḡ·lāh דָשָׁ֔ה treading grain ḏā·šāh וְתִצְהֲלִי and neigh wə·ṯiṣ·hă·lī כָּאֲבִּרִֽים׃ like stallions , kā·’ăb·bi·rîm Jeremiah 50:12 אִמְּכֶם֙ your mother ’im·mə·ḵem מְאֹ֔ד will be greatly mə·’ōḏ בּ֤וֹשָׁה ashamed ; bō·wō·šāh יֽוֹלַדְתְּכֶ֑ם she who bore you yō·w·laḏ·tə·ḵem חָפְרָ֖ה will be disgraced . ḥā·p̄ə·rāh הִנֵּה֙ Behold , hin·nêh אַחֲרִ֣ית [she will be] the least ’a·ḥă·rîṯ גּוֹיִ֔ם of the nations , gō·w·yim מִדְבָּ֖ר a wilderness , miḏ·bār צִיָּ֥ה a dry land , ṣî·yāh וַעֲרָבָֽה׃ and a desert . wa·‘ă·rā·ḇāh Jeremiah 50:13 מִקֶּ֤צֶף Because of the wrath miq·qe·ṣep̄ יְהוָה֙ of YHWH , Yah·weh לֹ֣א she will not lō תֵשֵׁ֔ב be inhabited ; ṯê·šêḇ וְהָיְתָ֥ה she will become wə·hā·yə·ṯāh כֻּלָּ֑הּ completely kul·lāh שְׁמָמָ֖ה desolate . šə·mā·māh כֹּ֚ל All kōl עֹבֵ֣ר who pass ‘ō·ḇêr עַל־ through ‘al- בָּבֶ֔ל Babylon bā·ḇel יִשֹּׁ֥ם will be horrified yiš·šōm וְיִשְׁרֹ֖ק and will hiss wə·yiš·rōq עַל־ at ‘al- כָּל־ all kāl- מַכּוֹתֶֽיהָ׃ her wounds . mak·kō·w·ṯe·hā Jeremiah 50:14 עִרְכ֨וּ Line up in formation ‘ir·ḵū עַל־ . . . ‘al- סָבִיב֙ around sā·ḇîḇ בָּבֶ֤ל׀ Babylon , bā·ḇel כָּל־ all kāl- דֹּ֣רְכֵי you who draw dō·rə·ḵê קֶ֔שֶׁת the bow ! qe·šeṯ יְד֣וּ Shoot yə·ḏū אֵלֶ֔יהָ at her ! ’ê·le·hā תַּחְמְל֖וּ Spare taḥ·mə·lū אַֽל־ no ’al- אֶל־ . . . ’el- חֵ֑ץ arrows ! ḥêṣ כִּ֥י For kî חָטָֽאָה׃ she has sinned ḥā·ṭā·’āh לַֽיהוָ֖ה against YHWH . Yah·weh Jeremiah 50:15 הָרִ֨יעוּ Raise a war cry hā·rî·‘ū עָלֶ֤יהָ against her ‘ā·le·hā סָבִיב֙ on every side ! sā·ḇîḇ נָתְנָ֣ה She has thrown up nā·ṯə·nāh יָדָ֔הּ her hands in surrender ; yā·ḏāh אַשְׁוִיֹּתֶיהָ her towers ʾaš·wī·yō·ṯɛ·hå̄ נָֽפְלוּ֙ have fallen ; nā·p̄ə·lū חֽוֹמוֹתֶ֑יהָ her walls ḥō·w·mō·w·ṯe·hā נֶהֶרְס֖וּ are torn down . ne·her·sū כִּי֩ Since kî הִיא֙ this hî נִקְמַ֨ת is the vengeance niq·maṯ יְהוָ֥ה of YHWH , Yah·weh הִנָּ֣קְמוּ take out your vengeance hin·nā·qə·mū בָ֔הּ upon her ; ḇāh כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר as ka·’ă·šer עָשְׂתָ֖ה she has done , ‘ā·śə·ṯāh עֲשׂוּ־ do the same ‘ă·śū- לָֽהּ׃ to her . lāh Jeremiah 50:16 כִּרְת֤וּ Cut off kir·ṯū זוֹרֵ֙עַ֙ the sower zō·w·rê·a‘ מִבָּבֶ֔ל from Babylon , mib·bā·ḇel וְתֹפֵ֥שׂ and the one who wields wə·ṯō·p̄êś מַגָּ֖ל the sickle mag·gāl קָצִ֑יר at harvest qā·ṣîr בְּעֵ֣ת time . bə·‘êṯ מִפְּנֵי֙ In the face of mip·pə·nê הַיּוֹנָ֔ה the oppressor’s hay·yō·w·nāh חֶ֣רֶב sword , ḥe·reḇ אִ֤ישׁ each ’îš יִפְנ֔וּ will turn yip̄·nū אֶל־ to ’el- עַמּוֹ֙ his own people , ‘am·mōw וְאִ֥ישׁ each wə·’îš יָנֻֽסוּ׃ס will flee yā·nu·sū
