אֲנִ֣י I ’ă·nî אֲחַיֶּ֑ה will preserve their lives . ’ă·ḥay·yeh וְאַלְמְנֹתֶ֖יךָ Let your widows wə·’al·mə·nō·ṯe·ḵā תִּבְטָֽחוּ׃ס trust tiḇ·ṭā·ḥū עָלַ֥י in Me . ” ‘ā·lay Jeremiah 49:12 כִּי־ For kî- כֹ֣ה׀ this is what ḵōh יְהוָ֗ה YHWH Yah·weh אָמַ֣ר says : ’ā·mar הִ֠נֵּה “ If hin·nêh אֲשֶׁר־ those who ’ă·šer- אֵ֨ין do not ’ên מִשְׁפָּטָ֜ם deserve miš·pā·ṭām לִשְׁתּ֤וֹת to drink liš·tō·wṯ הַכּוֹס֙ the cup hak·kō·ws שָׁת֣וֹ must drink it , šā·ṯōw יִשְׁתּ֔וּ . . . yiš·tū וְאַתָּ֣ה can you wə·’at·tāh ה֔וּא . . . hū נָקֹ֖ה possibly remain unpunished nā·qōh תִּנָּקֶ֑ה . . . ? tin·nā·qeh לֹ֣א You will not lō תִנָּקֶ֔ה go unpunished , ṯin·nā·qeh כִּ֥י for kî שָׁתֹ֖ה you must drink šā·ṯōh תִּשְׁתֶּֽה׃ it too . tiš·teh Jeremiah 49:13 כִּ֣י For kî בִ֤י by Myself ḇî נִשְׁבַּ֙עְתִּי֙ I have sworn , niš·ba‘·tî נְאֻם־ declares nə·’um- יְהוָ֔ה YHWH , Yah·weh כִּֽי־ that kî- בָצְרָ֑ה Bozrah ḇā·ṣə·rāh תִּֽהְיֶ֣ה will become tih·yeh לְשַׁמָּ֧ה a desolation , lə·šam·māh לְחֶרְפָּ֛ה a disgrace , lə·ḥer·pāh לְחֹ֥רֶב a ruin , lə·ḥō·reḇ וְלִקְלָלָ֖ה and a curse , wə·liq·lā·lāh וְכָל־ and all wə·ḵāl עָרֶ֥יהָ her cities ‘ā·re·hā תִהְיֶ֖ינָה will be ṯih·ye·nāh לְחָרְב֥וֹת in ruins lə·ḥā·rə·ḇō·wṯ עוֹלָֽם׃ forever .” ‘ō·w·lām Jeremiah 49:14 שָׁמַ֙עְתִּי֙ I have heard šā·ma‘·tî מֵאֵ֣ת . . . mê·’êṯ שְׁמוּעָ֤ה a message šə·mū·‘āh יְהוָ֔ה from YHWH ; Yah·weh וְצִ֖יר an envoy wə·ṣîr שָׁל֑וּחַ has been sent šā·lū·aḥ בַּגּוֹיִ֣ם to the nations : bag·gō·w·yim הִֽתְקַבְּצוּ֙ “ Assemble yourselves hiṯ·qab·bə·ṣū וּבֹ֣אוּ to march ū·ḇō·’ū עָלֶ֔יהָ against her ! ‘ā·le·hā וְק֖וּמוּ Rise up wə·qū·mū לַמִּלְחָמָֽה׃ for battle ! ” lam·mil·ḥā·māh Jeremiah 49:15 כִּֽי־ “ For kî- הִנֵּ֥ה behold , hin·nêh נְתַתִּ֖יךָ I will make you nə·ṯat·tî·ḵā קָטֹ֛ן small qā·ṭōn בַּגּוֹיִ֑ם among nations , bag·gō·w·yim בָּז֖וּי despised bā·zui בָּאָדָֽם׃ among men . bā·’ā·ḏām Jeremiah 49:16 תִּֽפְלַצְתְּךָ֞ The terror you cause tip̄·laṣ·tə·ḵā זְד֣וֹן and the pride of your zə·ḏō·wn לִבֶּ֔ךָ heart lib·be·ḵā הִשִּׁ֤יא have deceived hiš·šî אֹתָךְ֙ you , ’ō·ṯāḵ שֹֽׁכְנִי֙ O dwellers šō·ḵə·nî בְּחַגְוֵ֣י in the clefts bə·ḥaḡ·wê הַסֶּ֔לַע of the rocks , has·se·la‘ תֹּפְשִׂ֖י O occupiers tō·p̄ə·śî גִּבְעָ֑ה of the mountain giḇ·‘āh מְר֣וֹם summit . mə·rō·wm כִּֽי־ Though kî- תַגְבִּ֤יהַ you elevate ṯaḡ·bî·ha קִנֶּ֔ךָ your nest qin·ne·ḵā כַּנֶּ֙שֶׁר֙ like the eagle , kan·ne·šer מִשָּׁ֥ם even from there miš·šām אֽוֹרִידְךָ֖ I will bring you down , ” ’ō·w·rî·ḏə·ḵā נְאֻם־ declares nə·’um- יְהוָֽה׃ YHWH .
