Jeremiah 49:5 הִנְנִי֩ Behold , hin·nî מֵבִ֨יא I am about to bring mê·ḇî פַּ֗חַד terror pa·ḥaḏ עָלַ֜יִךְ upon you , ‘ā·la·yiḵ נְאֻם־ declares nə·’um- אֲדֹנָ֧י the Lord ’ă·ḏō·nāy יְהוִ֛ה YHWH Yah·weh צְבָא֖וֹת of Hosts , ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ מִכָּל־ from all those mik·kāl סְבִיבָ֑יִךְ around you . sə·ḇî·ḇā·yiḵ וְנִדַּחְתֶּם֙ You will each be driven wə·nid·daḥ·tem אִ֣ישׁ . . . ’îš לְפָנָ֔יו headlong , lə·p̄ā·nāw וְאֵ֥ין with no one wə·’ên מְקַבֵּ֖ץ to regather mə·qab·bêṣ לַנֹּדֵֽד׃ the fugitives . lan·nō·ḏêḏ Jeremiah 49:6 וְאַחֲרֵי־ Yet afterward wə·’a·ḥă·rê- כֵ֗ן . . . ḵên אָשִׁ֛יב I will restore ’ā·šîḇ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- בְּנֵֽי־ the Ammonites bə·nê- עַמּ֖וֹן . . . ‘am·mō·wn שְׁב֥וּת from captivity , ” šə·ḇūṯ נְאֻם־ declares nə·’um- יְהוָֽה׃ס YHWH . Yah·weh Jeremiah 49:7 לֶאֱד֗וֹם Concerning Edom , le·’ĕ·ḏō·wm כֹּ֤ה this is what kōh יְהוָ֣ה YHWH Yah·weh צְבָא֔וֹת of Hosts ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ אָמַר֙ says : ’ā·mar הַאֵ֥ין “ Is there no ha·’ên ע֛וֹד longer ‘ō·wḏ חָכְמָ֖ה wisdom ḥāḵ·māh בְּתֵימָ֑ן in Teman ? bə·ṯê·mān עֵצָה֙ Has counsel ‘ê·ṣāh אָבְדָ֤ה perished ’ā·ḇə·ḏāh מִבָּנִ֔ים from the prudent ? mib·bā·nîm חָכְמָתָֽם׃ Has their wisdom ḥā·ḵə·mā·ṯām נִסְרְחָ֖ה decayed ? nis·rə·ḥāh Jeremiah 49:8 הָפְנוּ֙ Turn hā·p̄ə·nū נֻ֤סוּ [and] run ! nu·sū לָשֶׁ֔בֶת Lie lā·še·ḇeṯ הֶעְמִ֣יקוּ low , he‘·mî·qū יֹשְׁבֵ֖י O dwellers yō·šə·ḇê דְּדָ֑ן of Dedan , də·ḏān כִּ֣י for kî הֵבֵ֥אתִי I will bring hê·ḇê·ṯî אֵ֥יד disaster ’êḏ עָלָ֖יו on ‘ā·lāw עֵשָׂ֛ו Esau ‘ê·śāw עֵ֥ת at the time ‘êṯ פְּקַדְתִּֽיו׃ I punish him . pə·qaḏ·tîw Jeremiah 49:9 אִם־ If ’im- בֹּֽצְרִים֙ grape gatherers bō·ṣə·rîm בָּ֣אוּ came bā·’ū לָ֔ךְ to you , lāḵ לֹ֥א would they not lō יַשְׁאִ֖רוּ leave yaš·’i·rū עֽוֹלֵל֑וֹת some gleanings ? ‘ō·w·lê·lō·wṯ אִם־ . . . ’im- גַּנָּבִ֥ים Were thieves gan·nā·ḇîm בַּלַּ֖יְלָה to come in the night , bal·lay·lāh הִשְׁחִ֥יתוּ would they not steal hiš·ḥî·ṯū דַיָּֽם׃ only what they wanted ? ḏay·yām Jeremiah 49:10 כִּֽי־ But kî- אֲנִ֞י I ’ă·nî עֵשָׂ֗ו will strip Esau ‘ê·śāw חָשַׂ֣פְתִּי bare ; ḥā·śap̄·tî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- גִּלֵּ֙יתִי֙ I will uncover gil·lê·ṯî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- מִסְתָּרָ֔יו his hiding places , mis·tā·rāw לֹ֣א and he will be unable lō יוּכָ֑ל . . . yū·ḵāl וְנֶחְבָּ֖ה to conceal himself . wə·neḥ·bāh זַרְע֛וֹ His descendants zar·‘ōw שֻׁדַּ֥ד will be destroyed šud·daḏ וְאֶחָ֥יו along with his relatives wə·’e·ḥāw וּשְׁכֵנָ֖יו and neighbors , ū·šə·ḵê·nāw וְאֵינֶֽנּוּ׃ and he will be no more . wə·’ê·nen·nū Jeremiah 49:11 עָזְבָ֥ה Abandon ‘ā·zə·ḇāh יְתֹמֶ֖יךָ your orphans ; yə·ṯō·me·ḵā
