Jeremiah 48:41 הַקְּרִיּ֔וֹת Kirioth haq·qə·rî·yō·wṯ נִלְכְּדָה֙ has been taken , nil·kə·ḏāh וְהַמְּצָד֖וֹת and the strongholds wə·ham·mə·ṣā·ḏō·wṯ נִתְפָּ֑שָׂה seized . niṯ·pā·śāh הַה֔וּא In that ha·hū בַּיּ֣וֹם day bay·yō·wm לֵ֞ב the heart lêḇ מוֹאָב֙ of Moab’s mō·w·’āḇ גִּבּוֹרֵ֤י warriors gib·bō·w·rê וְֽ֠הָיָה will be wə·hā·yāh כְּלֵ֖ב like the heart kə·lêḇ אִשָּׁ֥ה of a woman ’iš·šāh מְצֵרָֽה׃ in labor . mə·ṣê·rāh Jeremiah 48:42 מוֹאָ֖ב Moab mō·w·’āḇ וְנִשְׁמַ֥ד will be destroyed wə·niš·maḏ מֵעָ֑ם as a nation mê·‘ām כִּ֥י because kî הִגְדִּֽיל׃ he vaunted himself hiḡ·dîl עַל־ against ‘al- יְהוָ֖ה YHWH . Yah·weh Jeremiah 48:43 פַּ֥חַד Terror pa·ḥaḏ וָפַ֖חַת and pit wā·p̄a·ḥaṯ וָפָ֑ח and snare wā·p̄āḥ עָלֶ֛יךָ await you , ‘ā·le·ḵā יוֹשֵׁ֥ב O dweller yō·wō·šêḇ מוֹאָ֖ב of Moab , ” mō·w·’āḇ נְאֻם־ declares nə·’um- יְהוָֽה׃ YHWH . Yah·weh Jeremiah 48:44 הַנִּיס “ Whoever flees han·nīs מִפְּנֵ֤י . . . mip·pə·nê הַפַּ֙חַד֙ the panic hap·pa·ḥaḏ יִפֹּ֣ל will fall yip·pōl אֶל־ into ’el- הַפַּ֔חַת the pit , hap·pa·ḥaṯ וְהָֽעֹלֶה֙ and whoever climbs wə·hā·‘ō·leh מִן־ from min- הַפַּ֔חַת the pit hap·pa·ḥaṯ יִלָּכֵ֖ד will be caught yil·lā·ḵêḏ בַּפָּ֑ח in the snare . bap·pāḥ כִּֽי־ For kî- אָבִ֨יא I will bring ’ā·ḇî אֵלֶ֧יהָ upon ’ê·le·hā אֶל־ . . . ’el- מוֹאָ֛ב Moab mō·w·’āḇ שְׁנַ֥ת the year šə·naṯ פְּקֻדָּתָ֖ם of their punishment , ” pə·qud·dā·ṯām נְאֻם־ declares nə·’um- יְהוָֽה׃ YHWH . Yah·weh Jeremiah 48:45 נָסִ֑ים “ Those who flee nā·sîm עָמְד֖וּ will stand ‘ā·mə·ḏū מִכֹּ֣חַ helpless mik·kō·aḥ חֶשְׁבּ֛וֹן in Heshbon’s ḥeš·bō·wn בְּצֵ֥ל shadow , bə·ṣêl כִּֽי־ because kî- אֵ֞שׁ fire ’êš יָצָ֣א has gone forth yā·ṣā מֵחֶשְׁבּ֗וֹן from Heshbon mê·ḥeš·bō·wn וְלֶֽהָבָה֙ and a flame wə·le·hā·ḇāh מִבֵּ֣ין from within mib·bên סִיח֔וֹן Sihon . sî·ḥō·wn וַתֹּ֙אכַל֙ It devours wat·tō·ḵal פְּאַ֣ת the foreheads pə·’aṯ מוֹאָ֔ב of Moab mō·w·’āḇ וְקָדְקֹ֖ד and the skulls wə·qā·ḏə·qōḏ בְּנֵ֥י of the sons bə·nê שָׁאֽוֹן׃ of tumult . šā·’ō·wn Jeremiah 48:46 אוֹי־ Woe ’ō·w- לְךָ֣ to you , lə·ḵā מוֹאָ֔ב O Moab ! mō·w·’āḇ עַם־ The people ‘am- כְּמ֑וֹשׁ of Chemosh kə·mō·wōš אָבַ֖ד have perished ; ’ā·ḇaḏ כִּֽי־ for kî- בָנֶ֙יךָ֙ your sons ḇā·ne·ḵā לֻקְּח֤וּ have been taken luq·qə·ḥū בַּשֶּׁ֔בִי into exile baš·še·ḇî וּבְנֹתֶ֖יךָ and your daughters ū·ḇə·nō·ṯe·ḵā בַּשִּׁבְיָֽה׃ have gone into captivity . baš·šiḇ·yāh Jeremiah 48:47 בְּאַחֲרִ֥ית Yet in the latter bə·’a·ḥă·rîṯ הַיָּמִ֖ים days hay·yā·mîm וְשַׁבְתִּ֧י I will restore wə·šaḇ·tî
