וְהֵילִ֕ל will wail wə·hê·lil Jeremiah 47:3 מִקּ֗וֹל at the sound miq·qō·wl שַֽׁעֲטַת֙ of the galloping ša·‘ă·ṭaṯ פַּרְס֣וֹת hooves par·sō·wṯ אַבִּירָ֔יו of stallions , ’ab·bî·rāw מֵרַ֣עַשׁ the rumbling mê·ra·‘aš לְרִכְבּ֔וֹ of chariots , lə·riḵ·bōw הֲמ֖וֹן and the clatter hă·mō·wn גַּלְגִּלָּ֑יו of their wheels . gal·gil·lāw אָבוֹת֙ The fathers ’ā·ḇō·wṯ לֹֽא־ will not lō- הִפְנ֤וּ turn back hip̄·nū אֶל־ for ’el- בָּנִ֔ים their sons ; bā·nîm יָדָֽיִם׃ their hands yā·ḏā·yim מֵֽרִפְי֖וֹן will hang limp . mê·rip̄·yō·wn Jeremiah 47:4 עַל־ For ‘al- הַיּ֗וֹם the day hay·yō·wm הַבָּא֙ has come hab·bā לִשְׁד֣וֹד to destroy liš·ḏō·wḏ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- כָּל־ all kāl- פְּלִשְׁתִּ֔ים the Philistines , pə·liš·tîm לְהַכְרִ֤ית to cut off lə·haḵ·rîṯ לְצֹר֙ from Tyre lə·ṣōr וּלְצִיד֔וֹן and Sidon ū·lə·ṣî·ḏō·wn כֹּ֖ל every kōl שָׂרִ֣יד remaining śā·rîḏ עֹזֵ֑ר ally . ‘ō·zêr כִּֽי־ Indeed , kî- יְהוָה֙ YHWH Yah·weh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- שֹׁדֵ֤ד is about to destroy šō·ḏêḏ פְּלִשְׁתִּ֔ים the Philistines , pə·liš·tîm שְׁאֵרִ֖ית the remnant šə·’ê·rîṯ אִ֥י from the coasts ’î כַפְתּֽוֹר׃ of Caphtor . ḵap̄·tō·wr Jeremiah 47:5 אֶל־ - ’el- עַזָּ֔ה The people of Gaza ‘az·zāh קָרְחָה֙ will shave their heads in mourning qā·rə·ḥāh בָּ֤אָה - ; bā·’āh אַשְׁקְל֖וֹן Ashkelon ’aš·qə·lō·wn נִדְמְתָ֥ה will be silenced . niḏ·mə·ṯāh שְׁאֵרִ֣ית O remnant šə·’ê·rîṯ עִמְקָ֑ם of their valley , ‘im·qām עַד־ how long ‘aḏ- מָתַ֖י . . . mā·ṯay תִּתְגּוֹדָֽדִי׃ס will you gash yourself ? tiṯ·gō·w·ḏā·ḏî Jeremiah 47:6 ה֗וֹי ‘ Alas , hō·w חֶ֚רֶב O sword ḥe·reḇ לַֽיהוָ֔ה of YHWH , Yah·weh עַד־ how long ‘aḏ- אָ֖נָה . . . ’ā·nāh לֹ֣א until you rest lō תִשְׁקֹ֑טִי . . . ? ṯiš·qō·ṭî הֵאָֽסְפִי֙ Return hê·’ā·sə·p̄î אַל־ to ’al- תַּעְרֵ֔ךְ your sheath ; ta‘·rêḵ הֵרָגְעִ֖י cease hê·rā·ḡə·‘î וָדֹֽמִּי׃ and be still ! ’ wā·ḏōm·mî Jeremiah 47:7 אֵ֣יךְ How ’êḵ תִּשְׁקֹ֔טִי can it rest tiš·qō·ṭî וַֽיהוָ֖ה when YHWH Yah·weh צִוָּה־ has commanded ṣiw·wāh- לָ֑הּ it ? lāh יְעָדָֽהּ׃ס He has appointed it yə·‘ā·ḏāh אֶֽל־ against ’el- אַשְׁקְל֛וֹן Ashkelon ’aš·qə·lō·wn וְאֶל־ . . . wə·’el- ח֥וֹף and the shore ḥō·wp̄ הַיָּ֖ם of its coastland hay·yām שָׁ֥ם . . . . ” šām Jeremiah 48:1 לְמוֹאָ֡ב Concerning Moab , lə·mō·w·’āḇ כֹּֽה־ this is what kōh- יְהוָ֨ה YHWH Yah·weh צְבָא֜וֹת of Hosts , ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ אֱלֹהֵ֣י the God ’ĕ·lō·hê יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל of Israel , yiś·rā·’êl אָמַר֩ says : ’ā·mar ה֤וֹי “ Woe hō·w אֶל־ to ’el- נְבוֹ֙ Nebo , nə·ḇōw
