בְקִרְבָּהּ֙ among her ḇə·qir·bāh מַרְבֵּ֔ק are like fattened mar·bêq כְּעֶגְלֵ֣י calves . kə·‘eḡ·lê כִּֽי־ kî- הֵ֧מָּה They hêm·māh גַם־ too ḡam- הִפְנ֛וּ will turn back ; hip̄·nū יַחְדָּ֖יו together yaḥ·dāw נָ֥סוּ they will flee , nā·sū לֹ֣א they will not lō עָמָ֑דוּ stand their ground , ‘ā·mā·ḏū כִּ֣י for kî י֥וֹם the day yō·wm אֵידָ֛ם of calamity ’ê·ḏām בָּ֥א is coming bā עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם upon them — ‘ă·lê·hem עֵ֥ת the time ‘êṯ פְּקֻדָּתָֽם׃ of their punishment . pə·qud·dā·ṯām Jeremiah 46:22 קוֹלָ֖הּ Egypt will hiss qō·w·lāh יֵלֵ֑ךְ like a fleeing yê·lêḵ כַּנָּחָ֣שׁ serpent , kan·nā·ḥāš כִּֽי־ for kî- יֵלֵ֔כוּ the enemy will advance yê·lê·ḵū בְחַ֣יִל in force ; ḇə·ḥa·yil וּבְקַרְדֻּמּוֹת֙ with axes ū·ḇə·qar·dum·mō·wṯ בָּ֣אוּ they will come bā·’ū לָ֔הּ against her lāh כְּחֹטְבֵ֖י like woodsmen cutting down trees kə·ḥō·ṭə·ḇê עֵצִֽים׃ . . . . ‘ê·ṣîm Jeremiah 46:23 כָּרְת֤וּ They will chop down kā·rə·ṯū יַעְרָהּ֙ her forest , ya‘·rāh נְאֻם־ declares nə·’um- יְהוָ֔ה YHWH , Yah·weh לֹ֣א dense lō כִּ֖י though kî יֵֽחָקֵ֑ר it may be , yê·ḥā·qêr כִּ֤י for kî רַבּוּ֙ they are more numerous rab·bū מֵֽאַרְבֶּ֔ה than locusts ; mê·’ar·beh וְאֵ֥ין they cannot wə·’ên לָהֶ֖ם . . . lā·hem מִסְפָּֽר׃ be counted . mis·pār Jeremiah 46:24 בַּת־ The Daughter baṯ- מִצְרָ֑יִם of Egypt miṣ·rā·yim הֹבִ֖ישָׁה will be put to shame ; hō·ḇî·šāh נִתְּנָ֖ה she will be delivered nit·tə·nāh בְּיַ֥ד into the hands bə·yaḏ עַם־ of the people ‘am- צָפֽוֹן׃ of the north . ” ṣā·p̄ō·wn Jeremiah 46:25 יְהוָ֨ה YHWH Yah·weh צְבָא֜וֹת of Hosts , ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ אֱלֹהֵ֣י the God ’ĕ·lō·hê יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל of Israel , yiś·rā·’êl אָמַר֩ says : ’ā·mar הִנְנִ֤י “ Behold , hin·nî פוֹקֵד֙ I am about to punish p̄ō·w·qêḏ אֶל־ . . . ’el- אָמ֣וֹן Amon ’ā·mō·wn מִנֹּ֔א [god] of Thebes , min·nō וְעַל־ . . . wə·‘al- פַּרְעֹה֙ along with Pharaoh , par·‘ōh וְעַל־ - wə·‘al- מִצְרַ֔יִם Egypt miṣ·ra·yim וְעַל־ with wə·‘al- אֱלֹהֶ֖יהָ her gods ’ĕ·lō·he·hā וְעַל־ . . . wə·‘al- מְלָכֶ֑יהָ and kings mə·lā·ḵe·hā וְעַ֨ל־ . . . , wə·‘al- וְעַ֥ל . . . wə·‘al הַבֹּטְחִ֖ים and those who trust hab·bō·ṭə·ḥîm פַּרְעֹ֔ה in Pharaoh par·‘ōh בּֽוֹ׃ . bōw Jeremiah 46:26 וּנְתַתִּ֗ים I will deliver them ū·nə·ṯat·tîm בְּיַד֙ into the hands bə·yaḏ מְבַקְשֵׁ֣י of those who seek mə·ḇaq·šê נַפְשָׁ֔ם their lives nap̄·šām וּבְיַ֛ד . . . — ū·ḇə·yaḏ נְבֽוּכַדְרֶאצַּ֥ר of Nebuchadnezzar nə·ḇū·ḵaḏ·reṣ·ṣar מֶֽלֶךְ־ king me·leḵ- בָּבֶ֖ל of Babylon bā·ḇel וּבְיַד־ . . . ū·ḇə·yaḏ- עֲבָדָ֑יו and his officers . ‘ă·ḇā·ḏāw וְאַחֲרֵי־ But after wə·’a·ḥă·rê- כֵ֛ן this , ḵên תִּשְׁכֹּ֥ן [Egypt] will be inhabited tiš·kōn
