אִמְר֗וּ - : ’im·rū הִתְיַצֵּב֙ ‘ Take your positions hiṯ·yaṣ·ṣêḇ וְהָכֵ֣ן and prepare wə·hā·ḵên לָ֔ךְ yourself , lāḵ כִּֽי־ for kî- חֶ֖רֶב the sword ḥe·reḇ אָכְלָ֥ה devours ’ā·ḵə·lāh סְבִיבֶֽיךָ׃ those around you . ’ sə·ḇî·ḇe·ḵā Jeremiah 46:15 מַדּ֖וּעַ Why mad·dū·a‘ אַבִּירֶ֑יךָ have your warriors ’ab·bî·re·ḵā נִסְחַ֣ף been laid low ? nis·ḥap̄ לֹ֣א They cannot lō עָמַ֔ד stand , ‘ā·maḏ כִּ֥י for kî יְהוָ֖ה YHWH Yah·weh הֲדָפֽוֹ׃ has thrust them down . hă·ḏā·p̄ōw Jeremiah 46:16 הִרְבָּ֖ה They continue hir·bāh כּוֹשֵׁ֑ל to stumble ; kō·wō·šêl גַּם־ indeed , gam- אִ֣ישׁ [they] ’îš נָפַ֞ל have fallen nā·p̄al אֶל־ over ’el- רֵעֵ֗הוּ one another . rê·‘ê·hū וַיֹּֽאמְרוּ֙ They say , way·yō·mə·rū ק֣וּמָה׀ ‘ Get up ! qū·māh וְנָשֻׁ֣בָה Let us return wə·nā·šu·ḇāh אֶל־ to ’el- עַמֵּ֗נוּ our people ‘am·mê·nū וְאֶל־ and to wə·’el- אֶ֙רֶץ֙ the land ’e·reṣ מֽוֹלַדְתֵּ֔נוּ of our birth , mō·w·laḏ·tê·nū מִפְּנֵ֖י away from mip·pə·nê חֶ֥רֶב the sword ḥe·reḇ הַיּוֹנָֽה׃ of the oppressor . ’ hay·yō·w·nāh Jeremiah 46:17 שָׁ֑ם There šām קָרְא֖וּ they will cry out : qā·rə·’ū פַּרְעֹ֤ה ‘ Pharaoh par·‘ōh מֶֽלֶךְ־ king me·leḵ- מִצְרַ֙יִם֙ of Egypt miṣ·ra·yim שָׁא֔וֹן was all noise ; šā·’ō·wn הַמּוֹעֵֽד׃ he has let the appointed time ham·mō·w·‘êḏ הֶעֱבִ֖יר pass him by . ’ he·‘ĕ·ḇîr Jeremiah 46:18 אָ֙נִי֙ As surely as I ’ā·nî חַי־ live , ḥay- נְאֻם־ declares nə·’um- הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ the King , ham·me·leḵ שְׁמ֑וֹ whose name šə·mōw יְהוָ֥ה is YHWH Yah·weh צְבָא֖וֹת of Hosts , ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ כִּ֚י [there] kî יָבֽוֹא׃ will come one [who is] yā·ḇō·w כְּתָב֣וֹר like Tabor kə·ṯā·ḇō·wr בֶּֽהָרִ֔ים among the mountains be·hā·rîm וּכְכַרְמֶ֖ל and like Carmel ū·ḵə·ḵar·mel בַּיָּ֥ם by the sea . bay·yām Jeremiah 46:19 עֲשִׂ֣י Pack ‘ă·śî כְּלֵ֤י your bags kə·lê לָ֔ךְ lāḵ גוֹלָה֙ for exile , ḡō·w·lāh בַּת־ O daughter baṯ- יוֹשֶׁ֖בֶת dwelling yō·wō·še·ḇeṯ מִצְרָ֑יִם in Egypt ! miṣ·rā·yim כִּֽי־ For kî- נֹף֙ Memphis nōp̄ תִֽהְיֶ֔ה will be ṯih·yeh לְשַׁמָּ֣ה laid waste , lə·šam·māh וְנִצְּתָ֖ה destroyed wə·niṣ·ṣə·ṯāh מֵאֵ֥ין vvv mê·’ên יוֹשֵֽׁב׃ס and uninhabited . yō·wō·šêḇ Jeremiah 46:20 מִצְרָ֑יִם Egypt miṣ·rā·yim יְפֵֽה־ vvv yə·p̄êh- פִיָּ֖ה is a beautiful p̄î·yāh עֶגְלָ֥ה heifer , ‘eḡ·lāh קֶ֥רֶץ but a gadfly qe·reṣ מִצָּפ֖וֹן from the north miṣ·ṣā·p̄ō·wn בָּ֥א is coming against her bā בָֽא׃ . . . . ḇā Jeremiah 46:21 גַּם־ Even gam- שְׂכִרֶ֤יהָ the mercenaries śə·ḵi·re·hā
