הַמִּישֹׁ֑ר and the high plain ham·mî·šōr וְנִשְׁמַ֣ד will be destroyed , wə·niš·maḏ אֲשֶׁ֖ר as ’ă·šer יְהוָֽה׃ YHWH Yah·weh אָמַ֥ר has said . ’ā·mar Jeremiah 48:9 תְּנוּ־ Put tə·nū- צִ֣יץ salt ṣîṣ לְמוֹאָ֔ב on Moab , lə·mō·w·’āḇ כִּ֥י for kî נָצֹ֖א she will be laid waste nā·ṣō תֵּצֵ֑א . . . ; tê·ṣê וְעָרֶ֙יהָ֙ her cities wə·‘ā·re·hā תִֽהְיֶ֔ינָה will become ṯih·ye·nāh לְשַׁמָּ֣ה desolate , lə·šam·māh מֵאֵ֥ין with no one mê·’ên יוֹשֵׁ֖ב to dwell yō·wō·šêḇ בָּהֵֽן׃ in them . bā·hên Jeremiah 48:10 אָר֗וּר Cursed [is the one] ’ā·rūr רְמִיָּ֑ה who is remiss rə·mî·yāh עֹשֶׂ֛ה in doing ‘ō·śeh מְלֶ֥אכֶת the work mə·le·ḵeṯ יְהוָ֖ה of YHWH , Yah·weh וְאָר֕וּר and cursed is wə·’ā·rūr מֹנֵ֥עַ he who withholds mō·nê·a‘ חַרְבּ֖וֹ his sword ḥar·bōw מִדָּֽם׃ from bloodshed . mid·dām Jeremiah 48:11 מוֹאָ֜ב Moab mō·w·’āḇ שַׁאֲנַ֨ן has been at ease ša·’ă·nan מִנְּעוּרָ֗יו from youth , min·nə·‘ū·rāw וְשֹׁקֵ֥ט settled wə·šō·qêṭ הוּא֙ . . . hū אֶל־ like wine ’el- שְׁמָרָ֔יו on its dregs ; šə·mā·rāw וְלֹֽא־ he has not wə·lō- הוּרַ֤ק been poured hū·raq מִכְּלִי֙ from vessel mik·kə·lî אֶל־ to ’el- כֶּ֔לִי vessel ke·lî לֹ֣א [or] lō הָלָ֑ךְ gone hā·lāḵ וּבַגּוֹלָ֖ה into exile . ū·ḇag·gō·w·lāh עַל־ So ‘al- כֵּ֗ן . . . kên טַעְמוֹ֙ his flavor ṭa‘·mōw בּ֔וֹ bōw עָמַ֤ד has remained the same , ‘ā·maḏ וְרֵיח֖וֹ and his aroma wə·rê·ḥōw לֹ֥א vvv lō נָמָֽר׃ס is unchanged . nā·mār Jeremiah 48:12 לָכֵ֞ן Therefore lā·ḵên הִנֵּ֖ה־ behold , hin·nêh- יָמִ֤ים the days yā·mîm בָּאִים֙ are coming , bā·’îm נְאֻם־ declares nə·’um- יְהוָ֔ה YHWH , Yah·weh וְשִׁלַּחְתִּי־ when I will send wə·šil·laḥ·tî- ל֥וֹ to him lōw צֹעִ֖ים wanderers , ṣō·‘îm וְצֵעֻ֑הוּ who will pour him out . wə·ṣê·‘u·hū יָרִ֔יקוּ They will empty yā·rî·qū וְכֵלָ֣יו his vessels wə·ḵê·lāw יְנַפֵּֽצוּ׃ and shatter yə·nap·pê·ṣū וְנִבְלֵיהֶ֖ם his jars . wə·niḇ·lê·hem Jeremiah 48:13 מוֹאָ֖ב Then Moab mō·w·’āḇ וּבֹ֥שׁ will be ashamed ū·ḇōš מִכְּמ֑וֹשׁ of Chemosh , mik·kə·mō·wōš כַּאֲשֶׁר־ just as ka·’ă·šer- בֵּ֣ית the house bêṯ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל of Israel yiś·rā·’êl מִבֵּ֥ית mib·bêṯ בֹּ֙שׁוּ֙ was ashamed bō·šū מִבְטֶחָֽם׃ when they trusted in miḇ·ṭe·ḥām אֵ֖ל Bethel . ’êl Jeremiah 48:14 אֵ֚יךְ How ’êḵ תֹּֽאמְר֔וּ can you say , tō·mə·rū אֲנָ֑חְנוּ ‘ We ’ă·nā·ḥə·nū גִּבּוֹרִ֖ים are warriors , gib·bō·w·rîm חַ֖יִל mighty ḥa·yil וְאַנְשֵׁי־ men wə·’an·šê- לַמִּלְחָמָֽה׃ ready for battle ’ ? lam·mil·ḥā·māh
