אָמַ֥ר says ’ā·mar עָלֶ֖יךָ to you , ‘ā·le·ḵā בָּרֽוּךְ׃ Baruch : bā·rūḵ Jeremiah 45:3 אָמַ֙רְתָּ֙ You have said , ’ā·mar·tā אֽוֹי־ ‘ Woe is ’ō·w- נָ֣א . . . nā לִ֔י me lî כִּֽי־ because kî- יְהוָ֛ה YHWH Yah·weh יָסַ֧ף has added yā·sap̄ יָג֖וֹן sorrow yā·ḡō·wn עַל־ to ‘al- מַכְאֹבִ֑י my pain ! maḵ·’ō·ḇî יָגַ֙עְתִּי֙ I am worn out yā·ḡa‘·tî בְּאַנְחָתִ֔י with groaning bə·’an·ḥā·ṯî מָצָֽאתִי׃ס and have found mā·ṣā·ṯî לֹ֥א no lō וּמְנוּחָ֖ה rest . ’” ū·mə·nū·ḥāh Jeremiah 45:4 כֹּ֣ה׀ Thus kōh תֹּאמַ֣ר [Jeremiah] was to say tō·mar אֵלָ֗יו to [Baruch} : ’ê·lāw כֹּ֚ה “ This is what kōh יְהוָ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh הִנֵּ֤ה . . . hin·nêh אָמַ֣ר says : ’ā·mar כָּל־ Throughout kāl- הָאָ֖רֶץ the land hā·’ā·reṣ הִֽיא׃ . . . hî אֲנִ֣י I ’ă·nî הֹרֵ֔ס will demolish hō·rês אֲשֶׁר־ what ’ă·šer- בָּנִ֙יתִי֙ I have built bā·nî·ṯî נֹתֵ֑שׁ and uproot nō·ṯêš וְאֵ֥ת - wə·’êṯ אֲשֶׁר־ what ’ă·šer- נָטַ֖עְתִּי I have planted nā·ṭa‘·tî אֲנִ֣י - ’ă·nî וְאֶת־ - . wə·’eṯ- Jeremiah 45:5 וְאַתָּ֛ה But as for you , wə·’at·tāh תְּבַקֶּשׁ־ do you seek tə·ḇaq·qeš- גְדֹל֖וֹת great things ḡə·ḏō·lō·wṯ לְךָ֥ for yourself ? lə·ḵā אַל־ Stop ’al- תְּבַקֵּ֑שׁ seeking ! tə·ḇaq·qêš כִּ֡י For kî הִנְנִי֩ . . . hin·nî מֵבִ֨יא I will bring mê·ḇî רָעָ֤ה disaster rā·‘āh עַל־ on ‘al- כָּל־ every kāl- בָּשָׂר֙ living creature , bā·śār נְאֻם־ declares nə·’um- יְהוָ֔ה YHWH , Yah·weh כָּל־ but wherever kāl- הַמְּקֹמ֖וֹת . . . ham·mə·qō·mō·wṯ אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer תֵּֽלֶךְ־ you go , tê·leḵ- וְנָתַתִּ֨י I will grant wə·nā·ṯat·tî לְךָ֤ - lə·ḵā אֶֽת־ - ’eṯ- נַפְשְׁךָ֙ your life nap̄·šə·ḵā לְשָׁלָ֔ל as a spoil of war lə·šā·lāl עַ֥ל . . . ‘al שָֽׁם׃ס . . . . ” šām Jeremiah 46:1 דְבַר־ [This is] the word ḏə·ḇar- יְהוָ֛ה of YHWH Yah·weh עַל־ about ‘al- הַגּוֹיִֽם׃ the nations — hag·gō·w·yim אֲשֶׁ֨ר [the word] that ’ă·šer הָיָ֧ה came hā·yāh אֶל־ to ’el- יִרְמְיָ֥הוּ Jeremiah yir·mə·yā·hū הַנָּבִ֖יא the prophet han·nā·ḇî Jeremiah 46:2 עַל־ concerning ‘al- לְמִצְרַ֗יִם Egypt lə·miṣ·ra·yim חֵ֨יל [and] the army ḥêl פַּרְעֹ֤ה of Pharaoh par·‘ōh נְכוֹ֙ Neco nə·ḵōw מֶ֣לֶךְ king me·leḵ מִצְרַ֔יִם of Egypt , miṣ·ra·yim אֲשֶׁר־ which ’ă·šer- הָיָ֥ה . . . hā·yāh עַל־ . . . ‘al- הִכָּ֗ה was defeated hik·kāh בְּכַרְכְּמִ֑שׁ at Carchemish bə·ḵar·kə·miš
