שָׂ֨מוּ have resolved śā·mū פְנֵיהֶ֜ם . . . p̄ə·nê·hem לָב֣וֹא to go lā·ḇō·w אֶֽרֶץ־ to the land ’e·reṣ- מִצְרַיִם֮ of Egypt miṣ·ra·yim שָׁם֒ to reside there šām לָג֣וּר . . . ; lā·ḡūr וְתַ֨מּוּ they will meet their end . wə·ṯam·mū כֹ֜ל [They] will all ḵōl בְּאֶ֧רֶץ . . . bə·’e·reṣ מִצְרַ֣יִם . . . miṣ·ra·yim יִפֹּ֗לוּ fall yip·pō·lū בַּחֶ֤רֶב by the sword ba·ḥe·reḇ יִתַּ֔מּוּ or be consumed yit·tam·mū בָּֽרָעָב֙ by famine . bā·rā·‘āḇ מִקָּטֹן֙ From the least miq·qā·ṭōn וְעַד־ to wə·‘aḏ- גָּד֔וֹל the greatest , gā·ḏō·wl יָמֻ֑תוּ they will die yā·mu·ṯū בַּחֶ֥רֶב by sword ba·ḥe·reḇ וּבָרָעָ֖ב or famine ; ū·ḇā·rā·‘āḇ וְהָיוּ֙ and they will become wə·hā·yū לְאָלָ֣ה an object of cursing lə·’ā·lāh לְשַׁמָּ֔ה [and] horror , lə·šam·māh וְלִקְלָלָ֖ה of vilification wə·liq·lā·lāh וּלְחֶרְפָּֽה׃ and reproach . ū·lə·ḥer·pāh Jeremiah 44:13 וּפָקַדְתִּ֗י I will punish ū·p̄ā·qaḏ·tî עַ֤ל . . . ‘al הַיּֽוֹשְׁבִים֙ those who live hay·yō·wō·šə·ḇîm בְּאֶ֣רֶץ in the land bə·’e·reṣ מִצְרַ֔יִם of Egypt , miṣ·ra·yim כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר just as ka·’ă·šer פָּקַ֖דְתִּי I punished pā·qaḏ·tî עַל־ . . . ‘al- יְרֽוּשָׁלִָ֑ם Jerusalem , yə·rū·šā·lim בַּחֶ֥רֶב by sword ba·ḥe·reḇ בָּרָעָ֖ב and famine bā·rā·‘āḇ וּבַדָּֽבֶר׃ and plague , ū·ḇad·dā·ḇer Jeremiah 44:14 וְלֹ֨א so that none of wə·lō לִשְׁאֵרִ֣ית the remnant liš·’ê·rîṯ יְהוּדָ֔ה of Judah yə·hū·ḏāh הַבָּאִ֥ים who have gone hab·bā·’îm לָגֽוּר־ to reside lā·ḡūr- שָׁ֖ם . . . šām בְּאֶ֣רֶץ - bə·’e·reṣ מִצְרָ֑יִם in Egypt miṣ·rā·yim יִהְיֶ֜ה will yih·yeh פָּלִ֤יט escape pā·lîṭ וְשָׂרִיד֙ or survive wə·śā·rîḏ וְלָשׁ֣וּב׀ to return wə·lā·šūḇ אֶ֣רֶץ to the land ’e·reṣ יְהוּדָ֗ה of Judah , yə·hū·ḏāh אֲשֶׁר־ where ’ă·šer- הֵ֜מָּה they hêm·māh מְנַשְּׂאִ֤ים long mə·naś·śə·’îm אֶת־ - ’eṯ- נַפְשָׁם֙ - nap̄·šām לָשׁוּב֙ to return lā·šūḇ לָשֶׁ֣בֶת and live ; lā·še·ḇeṯ שָׁ֔ם . . . šām כִּ֥י for kî לֹֽא־ none lō- יָשׁ֖וּבוּ will return yā·šū·ḇū כִּ֥י except kî אִם־ . . . ’im- פְּלֵטִֽים׃ס a few fugitives .” pə·lê·ṭîm Jeremiah 44:15 כָּל־ Then all kāl- הָאֲנָשִׁ֤ים the men hā·’ă·nā·šîm הַיֹּֽדְעִים֙ who knew hay·yō·ḏə·‘îm כִּֽי־ that kî- נְשֵׁיהֶם֙ their wives nə·šê·hem מְקַטְּר֤וֹת were burning incense mə·qaṭ·ṭə·rō·wṯ אֲחֵרִ֔ים to other ’ă·ḥê·rîm לֵאלֹהִ֣ים gods , lê·lō·hîm וְכָל־ and all wə·ḵāl הַנָּשִׁ֥ים the women han·nā·šîm הָעֹמְד֖וֹת standing by — hā·‘ō·mə·ḏō·wṯ גָּד֑וֹל a great gā·ḏō·wl קָהָ֣ל assembly — qā·hāl וְכָל־ along with all wə·ḵāl הָעָ֛ם the people hā·‘ām הַיֹּשְׁבִ֥ים living hay·yō·šə·ḇîm בְּאֶֽרֶץ־ in the land bə·’e·reṣ- מִצְרַ֖יִם of Egypt miṣ·ra·yim בְּפַתְר֥וֹס [and] in Pathros , bə·p̄aṯ·rō·ws לֵאמֹֽר׃ . . . lê·mōr וַיַּעֲנ֣וּ said way·ya·‘ă·nū אֶֽת־ - ’eṯ- יִרְמְיָ֗הוּ to Jeremiah , yir·mə·yā·hū
