לְקַטֵּ֔רto burn incenselə·qaṭ·ṭêr
לַעֲבֹ֖ד[and] to servela·‘ă·ḇōḏ
אֲחֵרִ֑יםother’ă·ḥê·rîm
אֲשֶׁר֙-’ă·šer
לֵאלֹהִ֣יםgodslê·lō·hîm
לֹ֣אthat neither
הֵ֖מָּהtheyhêm·māh
אַתֶּ֥ם[nor] you’at·tem
וַאֲבֹתֵיכֶֽם׃nor your fatherswa·’ă·ḇō·ṯê·ḵem
יְדָע֔וּםever knew .yə·ḏā·‘ūm

אֲלֵיכֶם֙you’ă·lê·ḵem
אֶת־-’eṯ-
כָּל־allkāl-
עֲבָדַ֣יMy servants‘ă·ḇā·ḏay
הַנְּבִיאִ֔יםthe prophetshan·nə·ḇî·’îm
הַשְׁכֵּ֥יםagain and againhaš·kêm
וְשָׁלֹ֖חַ . . . , wə·šā·lō·aḥ
לֵאמֹ֑רsaying :lê·mōr
אַל־‘ Do not’al-
נָ֣א. . .
תַעֲשׂ֗וּdoṯa·‘ă·śū
אֵ֛ת-’êṯ
הַזֹּ֖אתthishaz·zōṯ
הַתֹּעֵבָ֥הdetestablehat·tō·‘ê·ḇāh
דְּבַֽר־thingdə·ḇar-
אֲשֶׁ֥רthat’ă·šer
שָׂנֵֽאתִי׃I hate . ’śā·nê·ṯî

שָֽׁמְעוּ֙listenšā·mə·‘ū
הִטּ֣וּor inclinehiṭ·ṭū
אֶת־’eṯ-
אָזְנָ֔םtheir ears ;’ā·zə·nām
וְלֹא־they did notwə·lō-
לָשׁ֖וּבturnlā·šūḇ
מֵרָֽעָתָ֑םfrom their wickednessmê·rā·‘ā·ṯām
לְבִלְתִּ֥יor stoplə·ḇil·tî
קַטֵּ֖רburning incenseqaṭ·ṭêr
אֲחֵרִֽים׃to other’ă·ḥê·rîm
לֵאלֹהִ֥יםgods .lê·lō·hîm
Jeremiah 44:6חֲמָתִי֙Therefore My wrathḥă·mā·ṯî
וְאַפִּ֔יand angerwə·’ap·pî
וַתִּתַּ֤ךְpoured outwat·tit·taḵ
וַתִּבְעַר֙and burnedwat·tiḇ·‘ar
בְּעָרֵ֣יin the citiesbə·‘ā·rê
יְהוּדָ֔הof Judahyə·hū·ḏāh
וּבְחֻצ֖וֹתand in the streetsū·ḇə·ḥu·ṣō·wṯ
יְרֽוּשָׁלִָ֑ם of Jerusalem , yə·rū·šā·lim
וַתִּהְיֶ֛ינָהso that they have becomewat·tih·ye·nāh
לְחָרְבָּ֥הthe desolatelə·ḥā·rə·bāh
לִשְׁמָמָ֖הruinliš·mā·māh
כַּיּ֥וֹםthey are todaykay·yō·wm
הַזֶּֽה׃ס. . . .haz·zeh

יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל of Israel , yiś·rā·’êl
אָמַ֣רsays :’ā·mar
לָמָה֩Whylā·māh
אַתֶּ֨םare you’at·tem
עֹשִׂ֜יםdoing‘ō·śîm
גְדוֹלָה֙such greatḡə·ḏō·w·lāh
רָעָ֤הharmrā·‘āh
אֶל־to’el-
נַפְשֹׁ֣תֵכֶ֔םyourselvesnap̄·šō·ṯê·ḵem
לְהַכְרִ֨יתby cutting offlə·haḵ·rîṯ
מִתּ֣וֹךְfrommit·tō·wḵ
יְהוּדָ֑הJudahyə·hū·ḏāh
לָכֶ֧םlā·ḵem
אִישׁ־man’îš-
וְאִשָּׁ֛ה and woman , wə·’iš·šāh
עוֹלֵ֥לchild‘ō·w·lêl
וְיוֹנֵ֖ק and infant , wə·yō·w·nêq
הוֹתִ֥ירleavinghō·w·ṯîr
