Exodus 14:21 מֹשֶׁ֣ה Then Moses mō·šeh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיֵּ֨ט stretched out way·yêṭ יָדוֹ֮ his hand yā·ḏōw עַל־ over ‘al- הַיָּם֒ the sea , hay·yām כָּל־ and all kāl- הַלַּ֔יְלָה that night hal·lay·lāh יְהוָ֣ה׀ YHWH Yah·weh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיּ֣וֹלֶךְ drove back way·yō·w·leḵ הַ֠יָּם the sea hay·yām עַזָּה֙ with a strong ‘az·zāh קָדִ֤ים east qā·ḏîm בְּר֨וּחַ wind bə·rū·aḥ וַיָּ֥שֶׂם that turned way·yā·śem אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַיָּ֖ם [it] hay·yām לֶחָרָבָ֑ה into dry land . le·ḥā·rā·ḇāh הַמָּֽיִם׃ So the waters ham·mā·yim וַיִּבָּקְע֖וּ were divided , way·yib·bā·qə·‘ū Exodus 14:22 בְנֵֽי־ and the Israelites ḇə·nê- יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל . . . yiś·rā·’êl וַיָּבֹ֧אוּ went way·yā·ḇō·’ū בְּת֥וֹךְ through bə·ṯō·wḵ הַיָּ֖ם the sea hay·yām בַּיַּבָּשָׁ֑ה on dry ground , bay·yab·bā·šāh חֹמָ֔ה with walls ḥō·māh וְהַמַּ֤יִם of water wə·ham·ma·yim לָהֶם֙ on their lā·hem מִֽימִינָ֖ם right mî·mî·nām וּמִשְּׂמֹאלָֽם׃ and on their left . ū·miś·śə·mō·lām Exodus 14:23 מִצְרַ֙יִם֙ And the Egyptians miṣ·ra·yim וַיִּרְדְּפ֤וּ chased after them — way·yir·də·p̄ū כֹּ֚ל all kōl פַּרְעֹ֔ה Pharaoh’s par·‘ōh ס֣וּס horses , sūs רִכְבּ֖וֹ chariots , riḵ·bōw וּפָרָשָׁ֑יו and horsemen — ū·p̄ā·rā·šāw וַיָּבֹ֣אוּ and followed way·yā·ḇō·’ū אַחֲרֵיהֶ֔ם them ’a·ḥă·rê·hem אֶל־ into ’el- תּ֖וֹךְ . . . tō·wḵ הַיָּֽם׃ the sea . hay·yām Exodus 14:24 הַבֹּ֔קֶר At morning hab·bō·qer בְּאַשְׁמֹ֣רֶת watch , bə·’aš·mō·reṯ וַֽיְהִי֙ however , way·hî יְהוָה֙ YHWH Yah·weh וַיַּשְׁקֵ֤ף looked down way·yaš·qêp̄ אֶל־ on ’el- מַחֲנֵ֣ה the army ma·ḥă·nêh מִצְרַ֔יִם of the Egyptians miṣ·ra·yim בְּעַמּ֥וּד from the pillar bə·‘am·mūḏ אֵ֖שׁ of fire ’êš וְעָנָ֑ן and cloud , wə·‘ā·nān וַיָּ֕הָם and He threw their camp into confusion way·yā·hām אֵ֖ת - ’êṯ מַחֲנֵ֥ה - ma·ḥă·nêh מִצְרָֽיִם׃ . . . . miṣ·rā·yim Exodus 14:25 מַרְכְּבֹתָ֔יו He caused their chariot mar·kə·ḇō·ṯāw אֹפַ֣ן wheels ’ō·p̄an וַיָּ֗סַר to wobble , way·yā·sar אֵ֚ת - ’êṯ בִּכְבֵדֻ֑ת so that they had difficulty biḵ·ḇê·ḏuṯ וַֽיְנַהֲגֵ֖הוּ driving . way·na·hă·ḡê·hū אָנ֙וּסָה֙ “ Let us flee ’ā·nū·sāh מִפְּנֵ֣י from mip·pə·nê יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל the Israelites , ” yiś·rā·’êl וַיֹּ֣אמֶר said way·yō·mer מִצְרַ֗יִם the Egyptians , miṣ·ra·yim כִּ֣י “ for kî יְהוָ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh נִלְחָ֥ם is fighting nil·ḥām לָהֶ֖ם for them lā·hem בְּמִצְרָֽיִם׃פ against Egypt ! ” bə·miṣ·rå̄·yim Exodus 14:26 יְהוָה֙ Then YHWH Yah·weh וַיֹּ֤אמֶר said way·yō·mer אֶל־ to ’el- מֹשֶׁ֔ה Moses , mō·šeh נְטֵ֥ה “ Stretch out nə·ṭêh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יָדְךָ֖ your hand yā·ḏə·ḵā עַל־ over ‘al-
