וַיִּֽירְא֥וּ feared way·yî·rə·’ū יְהוָ֑ה YHWH Yah·weh וַיַּֽאֲמִ֙ינוּ֙ and believed way·ya·’ă·mî·nū בַּֽיהוָ֔ה in Him Yah·weh עַבְדּֽוֹ׃פ and in His servant ‘aḇ·dōw וּבְמֹשֶׁ֖ה Moses . ū·ḇə·mō·šeh Exodus 15:1 אָ֣ז Then ’āz מֹשֶׁה֩ Moses mō·šeh וּבְנֵ֨י and the Israelites ū·ḇə·nê יִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל . . . yiś·rā·’êl אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יָשִֽׁיר־ sang yā·šîr- הַזֹּאת֙ this haz·zōṯ הַשִּׁירָ֤ה song haš·šî·rāh לַֽיהוָ֔ה to YHWH Yah·weh וַיֹּאמְר֖וּ - : way·yō·mə·rū לֵאמֹ֑ר - lê·mōr אָשִׁ֤ירָה “ I will sing ’ā·šî·rāh לַֽיהוָה֙ to YHWH , Yah·weh כִּֽי־ for kî- גָאֹ֣ה He is highly exalted ḡā·’ōh גָּאָ֔ה . . . . gā·’āh ס֥וּס The horse sūs וְרֹכְב֖וֹ and rider wə·rō·ḵə·ḇōw רָמָ֥ה He has thrown rā·māh בַיָּֽם׃ into the sea . ḇay·yām Exodus 15:2 יָ֔הּ YHWH yāh עָזִּ֤י is my strength ‘āz·zî וְזִמְרָת֙ and my song , wə·zim·rāṯ וַֽיְהִי־ and He has become way·hî- לִ֖י my lî לִֽישׁוּעָ֑ה salvation . lî·šū·‘āh זֶ֤ה He [is] zeh אֵלִי֙ my God , ’ê·lî וְאַנְוֵ֔הוּ and I will praise Him , wə·’an·wê·hū אָבִ֖י my father’s ’ā·ḇî אֱלֹהֵ֥י God , ’ĕ·lō·hê וַאֲרֹמְמֶֽנְהוּ׃ and I will exalt Him . wa·’ă·rō·mə·men·hū Exodus 15:3 יְהוָ֖ה YHWH Yah·weh אִ֣ישׁ is a warrior ’îš מִלְחָמָ֑ה . . . , mil·ḥā·māh יְהוָ֖ה YHWH Yah·weh שְׁמֽוֹ׃ is His name . šə·mōw Exodus 15:4 פַּרְעֹ֛ה Pharaoh’s par·‘ōh מַרְכְּבֹ֥ת chariots mar·kə·ḇōṯ וְחֵיל֖וֹ and army wə·ḥê·lōw יָרָ֣ה He has cast yā·rāh בַיָּ֑ם into the sea ; ḇay·yām וּמִבְחַ֥ר the finest ū·miḇ·ḥar שָֽׁלִשָׁ֖יו of his officers šā·li·šāw טֻבְּע֥וּ are drowned ṭub·bə·‘ū סֽוּף׃ in the Red sūp̄ בְיַם־ Sea . ḇə·yam- Exodus 15:5 תְּהֹמֹ֖ת The depths tə·hō·mōṯ יְכַסְיֻ֑מוּ have covered them ; yə·ḵas·yu·mū יָרְד֥וּ they sank yā·rə·ḏū בִמְצוֹלֹ֖ת [there] ḇim·ṣō·w·lōṯ כְּמוֹ־ like kə·mōw- אָֽבֶן׃ a stone . ’ā·ḇen Exodus 15:6 יְמִֽינְךָ֣ Your right hand , yə·mî·nə·ḵā יְהוָ֔ה O YHWH , Yah·weh נֶאְדָּרִ֖י is majestic ne’·dā·rî בַּכֹּ֑חַ in power ; bak·kō·aḥ יְמִֽינְךָ֥ Your right hand , yə·mî·nə·ḵā יְהוָ֖ה O YHWH , Yah·weh תִּרְעַ֥ץ has shattered tir·‘aṣ אוֹיֵֽב׃ the enemy . ’ō·w·yêḇ Exodus 15:7 תַּהֲרֹ֣ס You overthrew ta·hă·rōs קָמֶ֑יךָ Your adversaries qā·me·ḵā וּבְרֹ֥ב by Your great ū·ḇə·rōḇ גְּאוֹנְךָ֖ majesty . gə·’ō·wn·ḵā תְּשַׁלַּח֙ You unleashed tə·šal·laḥ חֲרֹ֣נְךָ֔ Your burning wrath ; ḥă·rō·nə·ḵā יֹאכְלֵ֖מוֹ it consumed them yō·ḵə·lê·mōw כַּקַּֽשׁ׃ like stubble . kaq·qaš Exodus 15:8 וּבְר֤וּחַ At the blast ū·ḇə·rū·aḥ
