Exodus 15:16 אֵימָ֙תָה֙ and terror ’ê·mā·ṯāh וָפַ֔חַד and dread wā·p̄a·ḥaḏ תִּפֹּ֨ל will fall tip·pōl עֲלֵיהֶ֤ם on them . ‘ă·lê·hem בִּגְדֹ֥ל By the power biḡ·ḏōl זְרוֹעֲךָ֖ of Your arm zə·rō·w·‘ă·ḵā יִדְּמ֣וּ they will be as still yid·də·mū כָּאָ֑בֶן as a stone kā·’ā·ḇen עַד־ until ‘aḏ- עַמְּךָ֙ Your people ‘am·mə·ḵā יַעֲבֹ֤ר pass by , ya·‘ă·ḇōr יְהוָ֔ה O YHWH , Yah·weh עַֽד־ until ‘aḏ- עַם־ the people ‘am- ז֥וּ - zū קָנִֽיתָ׃ You have bought qā·nî·ṯā יַעֲבֹ֖ר pass by . ya·‘ă·ḇōr Exodus 15:17 תְּבִאֵ֗מוֹ You will bring them in tə·ḇi·’ê·mōw וְתִטָּעֵ֙מוֹ֙ and plant them wə·ṯiṭ·ṭā·‘ê·mōw בְּהַ֣ר on the mountain bə·har נַחֲלָֽתְךָ֔ of Your inheritance — na·ḥă·lā·ṯə·ḵā מָכ֧וֹן the place , mā·ḵō·wn יְהוָ֑ה O YHWH , Yah·weh פָּעַ֖לְתָּ You have prepared pā·‘al·tā לְשִׁבְתְּךָ֛ for Your dwelling , lə·šiḇ·tə·ḵā מִקְּדָ֕שׁ the sanctuary , miq·qə·ḏāš אֲדֹנָ֖י O Lord , ’ă·ḏō·nāy יָדֶֽיךָ׃ Your hands yā·ḏe·ḵā כּוֹנְנ֥וּ have established . kō·wn·nū Exodus 15:18 יְהוָ֥ה׀ YHWH Yah·weh יִמְלֹ֖ךְ will reign yim·lōḵ לְעֹלָ֥ם forever lə·‘ō·lām וָעֶֽד׃ and ever ! ” wā·‘eḏ Exodus 15:19 כִּ֣י For when kî פַּרְעֹ֜ה Pharaoh’s par·‘ōh ס֨וּס horses , sūs בְּרִכְבּ֤וֹ chariots , bə·riḵ·bōw וּבְפָרָשָׁיו֙ and horsemen ū·ḇə·p̄ā·rā·šāw בָא֩ went ḇā בַּיָּ֔ם into the sea , bay·yām יְהוָ֛ה YHWH Yah·weh מֵ֣י brought the waters mê הַיָּ֑ם of the sea hay·yām וַיָּ֧שֶׁב back way·yā·šeḇ עֲלֵהֶ֖ם over them . ‘ă·lê·hem אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וּבְנֵ֧י But the Israelites ū·ḇə·nê יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל . . . yiś·rā·’êl הָלְכ֥וּ walked hā·lə·ḵū בְּת֥וֹךְ through bə·ṯō·wḵ הַיָּֽם׃פ the sea hay·yām בַיַּבָּשָׁ֖ה on dry ground . ḇay·yab·bā·šāh Exodus 15:20 מִרְיָ֨ם Then Miriam mir·yām הַנְּבִיאָ֜ה the prophetess , han·nə·ḇî·’āh אַהֲרֹ֛ן Aaron’s ’a·hă·rōn אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אֲח֧וֹת sister , ’ă·ḥō·wṯ וַתִּקַּח֩ took wat·tiq·qaḥ הַתֹּ֖ף a tambourine hat·tōp̄ בְּיָדָ֑הּ in her hand , bə·yā·ḏāh כָֽל־ and all ḵāl הַנָּשִׁים֙ the women han·nā·šîm אַחֲרֶ֔יהָ . . . ’a·ḥă·re·hā וַתֵּצֶ֤אןָ followed her wat·tê·ṣe·nā בְּתֻפִּ֖ים with tambourines bə·ṯup·pîm וּבִמְחֹלֹֽת׃ and dancing . ū·ḇim·ḥō·lōṯ Exodus 15:21 מִרְיָ֑ם And Miriam mir·yām וַתַּ֥עַן sang back wat·ta·‘an לָהֶ֖ם to them : lā·hem שִׁ֤ירוּ “ Sing šî·rū לַֽיהוָה֙ to YHWH , Yah·weh כִּֽי־ for kî- גָאֹ֣ה He is highly exalted ḡā·’ōh גָּאָ֔ה . . . ; gā·’āh ס֥וּס the horse sūs וְרֹכְב֖וֹ and rider wə·rō·ḵə·ḇōw רָמָ֥ה He has thrown rā·māh בַיָּֽם׃ס into the sea . ” ḇay·yām Exodus 15:22 מֹשֶׁ֤ה Then Moses mō·šeh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיַּסַּ֨ע led way·yas·sa‘ יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ Israel yiś·rā·’êl
