אֲשֶׁר־ whom ’ă·šer- יִשְׁמָעֵ֖אל Ishmael yiš·mā·‘êl שָׁבָ֥ה had taken captive šā·ḇāh מִן־ at min- הַמִּצְפָּ֑ה Mizpah ham·miṣ·pāh וַיָּסֹ֙בּוּ֙ turned way·yā·sōb·bū וַיָּשֻׁ֙בוּ֙ vvv way·yā·šu·ḇū וַיֵּ֣לְכ֔וּ and went over way·yê·lə·ḵū אֶל־ to ’el- יֽוֹחָנָ֖ן Johanan yō·w·ḥā·nān בֶּן־ son ben- קָרֵֽחַ׃ of Kareah . qā·rê·aḥ Jeremiah 41:15 וְיִשְׁמָעֵ֣אל But Ishmael wə·yiš·mā·‘êl בֶּן־ son ben- נְתַנְיָ֗ה of Nethaniah nə·ṯan·yāh בִּשְׁמֹנָ֣ה and eight biš·mō·nāh אֲנָשִׁ֔ים [of his] men ’ă·nā·šîm נִמְלַט֙ escaped nim·laṭ מִפְּנֵ֖י from mip·pə·nê יֽוֹחָנָ֑ן Johanan yō·w·ḥā·nān וַיֵּ֖לֶךְ and went way·yê·leḵ אֶל־ to ’el- בְּנֵ֥י the Ammonites bə·nê עַמּֽוֹן׃ס . . . . ‘am·mō·wn Jeremiah 41:16 יוֹחָנָ֨ן Then Johanan yō·w·ḥā·nān בֶּן־ son ben- קָרֵ֜חַ of Kareah qā·rê·aḥ וְכָל־ and all wə·ḵāl שָׂרֵ֧י the commanders śā·rê הַחֲיָלִ֣ים of the armies ha·ḥă·yā·lîm אֲשֶׁר־ ’ă·šer- אִתּ֗וֹ with him ’it·tōw אֵ֣ת ’êṯ וַיִּקַּח֩ took way·yiq·qaḥ כָּל־ the whole kāl- שְׁאֵרִ֤ית remnant šə·’ê·rîṯ הָעָם֙ of the people hā·‘ām מִן־ from min- הַמִּצְפָּ֔ה Mizpah ham·miṣ·pāh אֲשֶׁ֣ר whom ’ă·šer הֵ֠שִׁיב he had recovered hê·šîḇ מֵאֵ֨ת . . . mê·’êṯ יִשְׁמָעֵ֤אל from Ishmael yiš·mā·‘êl בֶּן־ son ben- נְתַנְיָה֙ of Nethaniah nə·ṯan·yāh אַחַ֣ר after ’a·ḥar הִכָּ֔ה Ishmael had killed hik·kāh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- גְּדַלְיָ֖ה Gedaliah gə·ḏal·yāh בֶּן־ son ben- אֲחִיקָ֑ם of Ahikam : ’ă·ḥî·qām גְּבָרִ֞ים the soldiers gə·ḇā·rîm אַנְשֵׁ֣י . . . ’an·šê הַמִּלְחָמָ֗ה . . . , ham·mil·ḥā·māh וְנָשִׁ֤ים women , wə·nā·šîm וְטַף֙ children , wə·ṭap̄ וְסָ֣רִסִ֔ים and court officials wə·sā·ri·sîm אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer הֵשִׁ֖יב he had brought back hê·šîḇ מִגִּבְעֽוֹן׃ from Gibeon . mig·giḇ·‘ō·wn Jeremiah 41:17 וַיֵּלְכ֗וּ And they went way·yê·lə·ḵū וַיֵּֽשְׁבוּ֙ and stayed way·yê·šə·ḇū בְּגֵר֣וּת in Geruth bə·ḡê·rūṯ כְּמוֹהֶם Chimham , kə·mō·hɛm אֲשֶׁר־ ’ă·šer- אֵ֖צֶל near ’ê·ṣel בֵּ֣ית bêṯ לָ֑חֶם Bethlehem , lā·ḥem לָלֶ֖כֶת in order to proceed lā·le·ḵeṯ לָב֥וֹא . . . lā·ḇō·w מִצְרָֽיִם׃ into Egypt miṣ·rā·yim Jeremiah 41:18 מִפְּנֵי֙ to escape mip·pə·nê הַכַּשְׂדִּ֔ים the Chaldeans . hak·kaś·dîm כִּ֥י For kî יָרְא֖וּ they were afraid yā·rə·’ū מִפְּנֵיהֶ֑ם of [the Chaldeans] mip·pə·nê·hem כִּֽי־ because kî- יִשְׁמָעֵ֣אל Ishmael yiš·mā·‘êl בֶּן־ son ben- נְתַנְיָ֗ה of Nethaniah nə·ṯan·yāh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הִכָּ֞ה had struck down hik·kāh גְּדַלְיָ֙הוּ֙ Gedaliah gə·ḏal·yā·hū בֶּן־ son ben- אֲחִיקָ֔ם of Ahikam , ’ă·ḥî·qām אֲשֶׁר־ whom ’ă·šer- מֶֽלֶךְ־ the king me·leḵ- בָּבֶ֖ל of Babylon bā·ḇel
