Jeremiah 39:15 בִּֽהְיֹת֣וֹ And while [Jeremiah] had been bih·yō·ṯōw עָצ֔וּר confined ‘ā·ṣūr בַּחֲצַ֥ר in the courtyard ba·ḥă·ṣar הַמַּטָּרָ֖ה of the guard , ham·maṭ·ṭā·rāh דְבַר־ the word ḏə·ḇar- יְהוָ֑ה of YHWH Yah·weh הָיָ֣ה had come hā·yāh וְאֶֽל־ to wə·’el- יִרְמְיָ֖הוּ [him] yir·mə·yā·hū לֵאמֹֽר׃ - : lê·mōr Jeremiah 39:16 הָל֣וֹךְ “ Go hā·lō·wḵ וְאָמַרְתָּ֡ and tell wə·’ā·mar·tā לְעֶבֶד־ vvv lə·‘e·ḇeḏ- מֶ֨לֶךְ Ebed-melech mɛ·lɛḵ הַכּוּשִׁ֜י the Cushite that hak·kū·šî כֹּֽה־ this is what kōh- אָמַ֞ר . . . ’ā·mar יְהוָ֤ה YHWH Yah·weh צְבָאוֹת֙ of Hosts , ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ אֱלֹהֵ֣י the God ’ĕ·lō·hê יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל of Israel , yiś·rā·’êl הִנְנִי֩ . . . hin·nî לֵאמֹ֗ר says : lê·mōr מֵבִי ‘ I am about to fulfill mē·ḇī אֶת־ - ’eṯ- דְּבָרַ֜י My words də·ḇā·ray אֶל־ against ’el- הַזֹּ֛את this haz·zōṯ הָעִ֥יר city hā·‘îr לְרָעָ֖ה for harm lə·rā·‘āh וְלֹ֣א and not wə·lō לְטוֹבָ֑ה for good , lə·ṭō·w·ḇāh הַהֽוּא׃ and on that ha·hū בַּיּ֥וֹם day bay·yō·wm וְהָי֥וּ they will be fulfilled wə·hā·yū לְפָנֶ֖יךָ before your eyes . lə·p̄ā·ne·ḵā Jeremiah 39:17 וְהִצַּלְתִּ֥יךָ But I will deliver you wə·hiṣ·ṣal·tî·ḵā הַה֖וּא on that ha·hū בַיּוֹם־ day , ḇay·yō·wm- נְאֻם־ declares nə·’um- יְהוָ֑ה YHWH , Yah·weh וְלֹ֤א and you will not wə·lō תִנָּתֵן֙ be delivered ṯin·nā·ṯên בְּיַ֣ד into the hands bə·yaḏ הָֽאֲנָשִׁ֔ים of the men hā·’ă·nā·šîm אֲשֶׁר־ whom ’ă·šer- אַתָּ֥ה you ’at·tāh יָג֖וֹר fear yā·ḡō·wr מִפְּנֵיהֶֽם׃ . . . . mip·pə·nê·hem Jeremiah 39:18 כִּ֤י For kî מַלֵּט֙ I will surely rescue you mal·lêṭ אֲמַלֶּטְךָ֔ . . . ’ă·mal·leṭ·ḵā לֹ֣א so that you do not lō תִפֹּ֑ל fall ṯip·pōl וּבַחֶ֖רֶב by the sword . ū·ḇa·ḥe·reḇ כִּֽי־ Because kî- בָטַ֥חְתָּ you have trusted ḇā·ṭaḥ·tā בִּ֖י in Me , bî וְהָיְתָ֨ה you will escape wə·hā·yə·ṯāh לְךָ֤ with lə·ḵā נַפְשְׁךָ֙ your life nap̄·šə·ḵā לְשָׁלָ֔ל like a spoil of war , lə·šā·lāl נְאֻם־ declares nə·’um- יְהוָֽה׃ס YHWH . ’” Yah·weh Jeremiah 40:1 הַדָּבָ֞ר This is the word had·dā·ḇār אֲשֶׁר־ that ’ă·šer- הָיָ֤ה came hā·yāh אֶֽל־ to ’el- יִרְמְיָ֙הוּ֙ Jeremiah yir·mə·yā·hū מֵאֵ֣ת from mê·’êṯ יְהוָ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh אַחַ֣ר׀ after ’a·ḥar נְבוּזַרְאֲדָ֛ן Nebuzaradan nə·ḇū·zar·’ă·ḏān רַב־ captain raḇ- טַבָּחִ֖ים of the guard ṭab·bā·ḥîm שַׁלַּ֣ח had released šal·laḥ אֹת֗וֹ him ’ō·ṯōw מִן־ at min- הָֽרָמָ֑ה Ramah , hā·rā·māh בְּקַחְתּ֣וֹ having found bə·qaḥ·tōw אֹת֗וֹ - ’ō·ṯōw וְהֽוּא־ him wə·hū- אָס֤וּר bound ’ā·sūr בָּֽאזִקִּים֙ in chains bā·ziq·qîm בְּת֨וֹךְ among bə·ṯō·wḵ כָּל־ all kāl- גָּל֤וּת the captives gā·lūṯ
