בְּשַׁ֖עַר through the gate bə·ša·‘ar בֵּ֣ין between bên הַחֹמֹתָ֑יִם the two walls , ha·ḥō·mō·ṯā·yim וַיֵּצֵ֖א and they went out way·yê·ṣê דֶּ֥רֶךְ along the route de·reḵ הָעֲרָבָֽה׃ to the Arabah . hā·‘ă·rā·ḇāh Jeremiah 39:5 חֵיל־ But the army ḥêl- כַּשְׂדִּ֜ים of the Chaldeans kaś·dîm וַיִּרְדְּפ֨וּ pursued way·yir·də·p̄ū אַחֲרֵיהֶ֗ם them ’a·ḥă·rê·hem וַיַּשִּׂ֣גוּ and overtook way·yaś·śi·ḡū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- צִדְקִיָּהוּ֮ Zedekiah ṣiḏ·qî·yā·hū בְּעַֽרְב֣וֹת in the plains bə·‘ar·ḇō·wṯ יְרֵחוֹ֒ of Jericho . yə·rê·ḥōw וַיִּקְח֣וּ They seized way·yiq·ḥū אֹת֗וֹ him ’ō·ṯōw וַֽ֠יַּעֲלֻהוּ and brought him up way·ya·‘ă·lu·hū אֶל־ to ’el- נְבוּכַדְרֶאצַּ֧ר Nebuchadnezzar nə·ḇū·ḵaḏ·reṣ·ṣar מֶֽלֶךְ־ king me·leḵ- בָּבֶ֛ל of Babylon bā·ḇel רִבְלָ֖תָה at Riblah riḇ·lā·ṯāh בְּאֶ֣רֶץ in the land bə·’e·reṣ חֲמָ֑ת of Hamath , ḥă·māṯ וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר where he pronounced way·ḏab·bêr מִשְׁפָּטִֽים׃ judgment miš·pā·ṭîm אִתּ֖וֹ on him . ’it·tōw Jeremiah 39:6 בְּרִבְלָ֖ה There at Riblah bə·riḇ·lāh מֶ֨לֶךְ the king me·leḵ בָּבֶ֜ל of Babylon bā·ḇel אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיִּשְׁחַט֩ slaughtered way·yiš·ḥaṭ בְּנֵ֧י the sons bə·nê צִדְקִיָּ֛הוּ of Zedekiah ṣiḏ·qî·yā·hū לְעֵינָ֑יו before his eyes , lə·‘ê·nāw וְאֵת֙ - wə·’êṯ מֶ֥לֶךְ and he me·leḵ בָּבֶֽל׃ . . . bā·ḇel שָׁחַ֖ט also killed šā·ḥaṭ כָּל־ all kāl- חֹרֵ֣י the nobles ḥō·rê יְהוּדָ֔ה of Judah . yə·hū·ḏāh Jeremiah 39:7 וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- עִוֵּ֑ר Then he put out ‘iw·wêr צִדְקִיָּ֖הוּ Zedekiah’s ṣiḏ·qî·yā·hū עֵינֵ֥י eyes ‘ê·nê וַיַּאַסְרֵ֙הוּ֙ and bound him way·ya·’as·rê·hū בַּֽנְחֻשְׁתַּ֔יִם with bronze chains ban·ḥuš·ta·yim לָבִ֥יא to take lā·ḇî אֹת֖וֹ him ’ō·ṯōw בָּבֶֽלָה׃ to Babylon . bā·ḇe·lāh Jeremiah 39:8 וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- הַכַּשְׂדִּ֖ים The Chaldeans hak·kaś·dîm שָׂרְפ֥וּ set fire to śā·rə·p̄ū בָּאֵ֑שׁ . . . bā·’êš בֵּ֤ית the palace bêṯ הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ of the king ham·me·leḵ וְאֶת־ and wə·’eṯ- בֵּ֣ית to the houses bêṯ הָעָ֔ם of the people , hā·‘ām וְאֶת־ and wə·’eṯ- נָתָֽצוּ׃ they broke down nā·ṯā·ṣū חֹמ֥וֹת the walls ḥō·mō·wṯ יְרוּשָׁלִַ֖ם of Jerusalem . yə·rū·šā·lim Jeremiah 39:9 וְאֵת֩ Then wə·’êṯ נְבֽוּזַר־ vvv nə·ḇū·zar- אֲדָ֥ן Nebuzaradan ʾă·ḏå̄n רַב־ captain raḇ- טַבָּחִ֖ים of the guard ṭab·bā·ḥîm הֶגְלָ֛ה carried heḡ·lāh בָּבֶֽל׃ away to Babylon bā·ḇel יֶ֨תֶר the remnant ye·ṯer הָעָ֜ם of the people hā·‘ām הַנִּשְׁאָרִ֣ים who had remained han·niš·’ā·rîm בָּעִ֗יר in the city , bā·‘îr וְאֶת־ along with wə·’eṯ- הַנֹּֽפְלִים֙ the deserters han·nō·p̄ə·lîm אֲשֶׁ֣ר who ’ă·šer נָפְל֣וּ had defected nā·p̄ə·lū עָלָ֔יו to ‘ā·lāw וְאֵ֛ת him wə·’êṯ יֶ֥תֶר - ye·ṯer הָעָ֖ם - hā·‘ām הַנִּשְׁאָרִ֑ים - . han·niš·’ā·rîm
