כֹּ֤ה that kōh תֹֽאמְרוּ֙ you are to tell ṯō·mə·rū אֶל־ . . . ’el- מֶ֣לֶךְ the king me·leḵ יְהוּדָ֔ה of Judah , yə·hū·ḏāh הַשֹּׁלֵ֧חַ who sent haš·šō·lê·aḥ אֶתְכֶ֛ם you ’eṯ·ḵem לְדָרְשֵׁ֑נִי to lə·ḏā·rə·šê·nî אֵלַ֖י Me : ’ê·lay הִנֵּ֣ה׀ Behold , hin·nêh פַּרְעֹ֗ה Pharaoh’s par·‘ōh חֵ֣יל army , ḥêl הַיֹּצֵ֤א which has marched out hay·yō·ṣê לְעֶזְרָ֔ה to help lə·‘ez·rāh לָכֶם֙ you , lā·ḵem שָׁ֥ב will go back šāḇ לְאַרְצ֖וֹ to its own land lə·’ar·ṣōw מִצְרָֽיִם׃ of Egypt . miṣ·rā·yim Jeremiah 37:8 הַכַּשְׂדִּ֔ים Then the Chaldeans hak·kaś·dîm וְשָׁ֙בוּ֙ will return wə·šā·ḇū וְנִלְחֲמ֖וּ and fight wə·nil·ḥă·mū עַל־ against ‘al- הַזֹּ֑את this haz·zōṯ הָעִ֣יר city . hā·‘îr וּלְכָדֻ֖הָ They will capture ū·lə·ḵā·ḏu·hā וּשְׂרָפֻ֥הָ it and burn it down ū·śə·rā·p̄u·hā בָאֵֽשׁ׃ס . . . . ḇā·’êš Jeremiah 37:9 כֹּ֣ה׀ This is what kōh יְהוָ֗ה YHWH Yah·weh אָמַ֣ר says : ’ā·mar אַל־ Do not ’al- תַּשִּׁ֤אוּ deceive taš·ši·’ū נַפְשֹֽׁתֵיכֶם֙ yourselves nap̄·šō·ṯê·ḵem לֵאמֹ֔ר by saying , lê·mōr הַכַּשְׂדִּ֑ים ‘ The Chaldeans hak·kaś·dîm הָלֹ֛ךְ will go away for good hā·lōḵ יֵלְכ֥וּ . . . yê·lə·ḵū מֵעָלֵ֖ינוּ . . . , ’ mê·‘ā·lê·nū כִּי־ for kî- לֹ֖א they will not lō יֵלֵֽכוּ׃ - ! yê·lê·ḵū Jeremiah 37:10 כִּ֣י Indeed , kî אִם־ if ’im- הִכִּיתֶ֞ם you were to strike down hik·kî·ṯem כָּל־ the entire kāl- חֵ֤יל army ḥêl כַּשְׂדִּים֙ of the Chaldeans kaś·dîm הַנִּלְחָמִ֣ים that is fighting han·nil·ḥā·mîm אִתְּכֶ֔ם against you , ’it·tə·ḵem מְדֻקָּרִ֑ים and only wounded mə·ḏuq·qā·rîm אֲנָשִׁ֖ים men ’ă·nā·šîm וְנִ֨שְׁאֲרוּ remained wə·niš·’ă·rū בָ֔ם . . . ḇām אִ֤ישׁ vvv ’îš בְּאָהֳלוֹ֙ in their tents , bə·’ā·ho·lōw יָק֔וּמוּ they would still get up yā·qū·mū הַזֹּ֖את and burn this haz·zōṯ הָעִ֥יר city hā·‘îr וְשָֽׂרְפ֛וּ down wə·śā·rə·p̄ū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- בָּאֵֽשׁ׃ - .” bā·’êš Jeremiah 37:11 וְהָיָ֗ה - wə·hā·yāh הַכַּשְׂדִּ֔ים When the Chaldean hak·kaś·dîm חֵ֣יל army ḥêl בְּהֵֽעָלוֹת֙ withdrew bə·hê·‘ā·lō·wṯ מֵעַ֖ל from mê·‘al יְרֽוּשָׁלִָ֑ם Jerusalem yə·rū·šā·lim מִפְּנֵ֖י for fear mip·pə·nê פַּרְעֹֽה׃ס of Pharaoh’s par·‘ōh חֵ֥יל army , ḥêl Jeremiah 37:12 יִרְמְיָ֙הוּ֙ Jeremiah yir·mə·yā·hū וַיֵּצֵ֤א started to leave way·yê·ṣê מִיר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם Jerusalem mî·rū·šā·lim לָלֶ֖כֶת to go lā·le·ḵeṯ אֶ֣רֶץ to the land ’e·reṣ בִּנְיָמִ֑ן of Benjamin bin·yā·min לַחֲלִ֥ק to claim his portion la·ḥă·liq מִשָּׁ֖ם there miš·šām בְּת֥וֹךְ among bə·ṯō·wḵ הָעָֽם׃ the people . hā·‘ām Jeremiah 37:13 ה֞וּא But when he hū וַיְהִי־ reached way·hî-
