יֹֽאשִׁיָּ֑הוּ of Josiah yō·šî·yā·hū הִמְלִ֛יךְ the king him·lîḵ בְּאֶ֥רֶץ - bə·’e·reṣ יְהוּדָֽה׃ of Judah , yə·hū·ḏāh וַיִּ֨מְלָךְ־ and he reigned way·yim·lāḵ- מֶ֔לֶךְ . . . me·leḵ תַּ֗חַת in place ta·ḥaṯ כָּנְיָ֙הוּ֙ of Coniah kā·nə·yā·hū בֶּן־ son ben- יְה֣וֹיָקִ֔ים of Jehoiakim . yə·hō·w·yā·qîm Jeremiah 37:2 ה֥וּא But he hū וַעֲבָדָ֖יו and his officers wa·‘ă·ḇā·ḏāw וְעַ֣ם and the people wə·‘am הָאָ֑רֶץ of the land hā·’ā·reṣ אֶל־ - ’el- וְלֹ֥א refused wə·lō שָׁמַ֛ע to obey šā·ma‘ דִּבְרֵ֣י the words diḇ·rê יְהוָ֔ה that YHWH Yah·weh אֲשֶׁ֣ר - ’ă·šer דִּבֶּ֔ר had spoken dib·ber בְּיַ֖ד through bə·yaḏ יִרְמְיָ֥הוּ Jeremiah yir·mə·yā·hū הַנָּבִֽיא׃ the prophet . han·nā·ḇî Jeremiah 37:3 הַמֶּ֨לֶךְ Yet King ham·me·leḵ צִדְקִיָּ֜הוּ Zedekiah ṣiḏ·qî·yā·hū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיִּשְׁלַח֩ sent way·yiš·laḥ יְהוּכַ֣ל Jehucal yə·hū·ḵal בֶּן־ son ben- שֶֽׁלֶמְיָ֗ה of Shelemiah še·lem·yāh וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- צְפַנְיָ֤הוּ and Zephaniah ṣə·p̄an·yā·hū הַכֹּהֵ֔ן the priest , hak·kō·hên בֶן־ the son ḇen- מַֽעֲשֵׂיָה֙ of Maaseiah , ma·‘ă·śê·yāh אֶל־ to ’el- יִרְמְיָ֥הוּ Jeremiah yir·mə·yā·hū הַנָּבִ֖יא the prophet han·nā·ḇî לֵאמֹ֑ר with the message , lê·mōr נָ֣א “ Please nā הִתְפַּלֶּל־ pray hiṯ·pal·lel- אֶל־ to ’el- יְהוָ֖ה YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃ our God ’ĕ·lō·hê·nū בַעֲדֵ֔נוּ for us !” ḇa·‘ă·ḏê·nū Jeremiah 37:4 וְיִרְמְיָ֕הוּ Now Jeremiah wə·yir·mə·yā·hū בָּ֥א was free to come bā וְיֹצֵ֖א and go wə·yō·ṣê בְּת֣וֹךְ among bə·ṯō·wḵ הָעָ֑ם the people , hā·‘ām וְלֹֽא־ for they had not wə·lō- נָתְנ֥וּ yet put nā·ṯə·nū אֹת֖וֹ him ’ō·ṯōw בֵּ֥ית in prison bêṯ הַכְּלִיא׃ . . . . hak·kə·lī Jeremiah 37:5 פַּרְעֹ֖ה Pharaoh’s par·‘ōh וְחֵ֥יל army wə·ḥêl יָצָ֣א had left yā·ṣā מִמִּצְרָ֑יִם Egypt , mim·miṣ·rā·yim הַכַּשְׂדִּ֜ים and when the Chaldeans hak·kaś·dîm הַצָּרִ֤ים who were besieging haṣ·ṣā·rîm יְרוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙ Jerusalem yə·rū·šā·lim אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיִּשְׁמְע֨וּ heard way·yiš·mə·‘ū שִׁמְעָ֔ם the report , šim·‘ām וַיֵּ֣עָל֔וּ they withdrew way·yê·‘ā·lū מֵעַ֖ל from mê·‘al עַל־ . . . ‘al- יְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃פ Jerusalem . yə·rū·šā·lim Jeremiah 37:6 דְּבַר־ Then the word də·ḇar- יְהוָ֔ה of YHWH Yah·weh וַֽיְהִי֙ came way·hî אֶל־ to ’el- יִרְמְיָ֥הוּ Jeremiah yir·mə·yā·hū הַנָּבִ֖יא the prophet han·nā·ḇî לֵאמֹֽר׃ - : lê·mōr Jeremiah 37:7 כֹּֽה־ “ This is what kōh- יְהוָה֙ YHWH , Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵ֣י the God ’ĕ·lō·hê יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל of Israel , yiś·rā·’êl אָמַ֤ר says ’ā·mar
