כָּל־ everything kāl- הַדְּבָרִֽים׃ . . . had·də·ḇā·rîm בְּאָזְנֵ֣י to bə·’ā·zə·nê הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ the king . ham·me·leḵ אֵ֖ת - ’êṯ Jeremiah 36:21 הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ Then the king ham·me·leḵ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיִּשְׁלַ֨ח sent way·yiš·laḥ יְהוּדִ֗י Jehudi yə·hū·ḏî לָקַ֙חַת֙ to get lā·qa·ḥaṯ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַמְּגִלָּ֔ה the scroll , ham·mə·ḡil·lāh וַיִּ֨קָּחֶ֔הָ and he took it way·yiq·qā·ḥe·hā מִלִּשְׁכַּ֖ת from the chamber mil·liš·kaṯ אֱלִישָׁמָ֣ע of Elishama ’ĕ·lî·šā·mā‘ הַסֹּפֵ֑ר the scribe . has·sō·p̄êr יְהוּדִי֙ And Jehudi yə·hū·ḏî וַיִּקְרָאֶ֤הָ read it way·yiq·rā·’e·hā בְּאָזְנֵ֣י in the hearing bə·’ā·zə·nê הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ of the king ham·me·leḵ וּבְאָזְנֵי֙ . . . ū·ḇə·’ā·zə·nê כָּל־ and all kāl- הַשָּׂרִ֔ים the officials haś·śā·rîm הָעֹמְדִ֖ים who were standing hā·‘ō·mə·ḏîm מֵעַ֥ל beside mê·‘al הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ [him] . ham·me·leḵ Jeremiah 36:22 הַתְּשִׁיעִ֑י Since it was the ninth hat·tə·šî·‘î וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- בַּחֹ֖דֶשׁ month , ba·ḥō·ḏeš וְהַמֶּ֗לֶךְ the king wə·ham·me·leḵ יוֹשֵׁב֙ was sitting yō·wō·šêḇ הַחֹ֔רֶף in his winter ha·ḥō·rep̄ בֵּ֣ית quarters bêṯ הָאָ֖ח with a fire hā·’āḥ מְבֹעָֽרֶת׃ burning mə·ḇō·‘ā·reṯ לְפָנָ֥יו before him . lə·p̄ā·nāw Jeremiah 36:23 וַיְהִ֣י׀ And way·hî יְהוּדִ֗י as soon as Jehudi yə·hū·ḏî כִּקְר֣וֹא had read kiq·rō·w שָׁלֹ֣שׁ three šā·lōš וְאַרְבָּעָה֒ or four wə·’ar·bā·‘āh דְּלָתוֹת֮ columns , də·lā·ṯō·wṯ יִֽקְרָעֶ֙הָ֙ Jehoiakim would cut [them off] yiq·rā·‘e·hā הַסֹּפֵ֔ר with a scribe’s has·sō·p̄êr בְּתַ֣עַר knife bə·ṯa·‘ar וְהַשְׁלֵ֕ךְ and throw [them] wə·haš·lêḵ אֶל־ into ’el- הָאָ֑ח the firepot hā·’āḥ הָאֵ֖שׁ . . . hā·’êš אֲשֶׁ֣ר - ’ă·šer אֶל־ - , ’el- עַד־ until ‘aḏ- כָּל־ the entire kāl- הַמְּגִלָּ֔ה scroll ham·mə·ḡil·lāh תֹּם֙ had been consumed tōm עַל־ by ‘al- הָאֵ֖שׁ the fire hā·’êš אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer עַל־ - ‘al- הָאָֽח׃ - . hā·’āḥ Jeremiah 36:24 הַשֹּׁ֣מְעִ֔ים Yet in hearing haš·šō·mə·‘îm אֵ֥ת - ’êṯ כָּל־ all kāl- הָאֵֽלֶּה׃ these hā·’êl·leh הַדְּבָרִ֖ים words , had·də·ḇā·rîm הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ the king ham·me·leḵ וְכָל־ and wə·ḵāl עֲבָדָ֔יו his servants ‘ă·ḇā·ḏāw וְלֹ֣א did not wə·lō פָחֲד֔וּ become frightened p̄ā·ḥă·ḏū וְלֹ֥א . . . wə·lō קָרְע֖וּ or tear qā·rə·‘ū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- בִּגְדֵיהֶ֑ם their garments . biḡ·ḏê·hem Jeremiah 36:25 וְגַם֩ Even though wə·ḡam אֶלְנָתָ֨ן Elnathan , ’el·nā·ṯān וּדְלָיָ֤הוּ Delaiah , ū·ḏə·lā·yā·hū וּגְמַרְיָ֙הוּ֙ and Gemariah ū·ḡə·mar·yā·hū הִפְגִּ֣עוּ urged hip̄·gi·‘ū בַמֶּ֔לֶךְ the king ḇam·me·leḵ לְבִלְתִּ֥י not lə·ḇil·tî שְׂרֹ֖ף to burn śə·rōp̄ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַמְּגִלָּ֑ה the scroll , ham·mə·ḡil·lāh וְלֹ֥א he would not wə·lō
