אֲלֵיהֶֽם׃ to them . ’ă·lê·hem Jeremiah 36:15 נָ֔א “ Please nā שֵׁ֣ב sit down , ” šêḇ וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ they said way·yō·mə·rū אֵלָ֔יו - , ’ê·lāw וּקְרָאֶ֖נָּה “ and read ū·qə·rā·’en·nāh בְּאָזְנֵ֑ינוּ it in our hearing . ” bə·’ā·zə·nê·nū בָר֖וּךְ So Baruch ḇā·rūḵ וַיִּקְרָ֥א read way·yiq·rā בְּאָזְנֵיהֶֽם׃ it in their hearing . bə·’ā·zə·nê·hem Jeremiah 36:16 וַיְהִ֗י - way·hî כְּשָׁמְעָם֙ When they had heard kə·šā·mə·‘ām אֶת־ - ’eṯ- כָּל־ all kāl- הַדְּבָרִ֔ים these words , had·də·ḇā·rîm אֶל־ they turned to ’el- אִ֣ישׁ one ’îš רֵעֵ֑הוּ another rê·‘ê·hū פָּחֲד֖וּ in fear pā·ḥă·ḏū וַיֹּֽאמְרוּ֙ and said way·yō·mə·rū אֶל־ to ’el- בָּר֔וּךְ Baruch , bā·rūḵ הַגֵּ֤יד “ Surely we must report hag·gêḏ נַגִּיד֙ . . . nag·gîḏ אֵ֥ת - ’êṯ כָּל־ all kāl- הָאֵֽלֶּה׃ these hā·’êl·leh הַדְּבָרִ֖ים words had·də·ḇā·rîm לַמֶּ֔לֶךְ to the king .” lam·me·leḵ Jeremiah 36:17 הַגֶּד־ “ Tell hag·geḏ- לָ֔נוּ us lā·nū נָ֣א now ,” nā וְאֶ֨ת־ - wə·’eṯ- שָׁאֲל֖וּ they asked šā·’ă·lū לֵאמֹ֑ר . . . lê·mōr בָּר֔וּךְ Baruch , bā·rūḵ אֵ֗יךְ “ how ’êḵ כָּתַ֛בְתָּ did you write kā·ṯaḇ·tā אֶת־ - ’eṯ- כָּל־ all kāl- הָאֵ֖לֶּה these hā·’êl·leh הַדְּבָרִ֥ים words ? had·də·ḇā·rîm מִפִּֽיו׃ [Was it] at [Jeremiah’s] dictation ?” mip·pîw Jeremiah 36:18 לָהֶם֙ “ [It was] at lā·hem מִפִּיו֙ his dictation , ” mip·pîw בָּר֔וּךְ Baruch bā·rūḵ וַיֹּ֤אמֶר replied . way·yō·mer יִקְרָ֣א “ He recited yiq·rā כָּל־ all kāl- הָאֵ֑לֶּה these hā·’êl·leh הַדְּבָרִ֖ים words had·də·ḇā·rîm אֵלַ֔י to me ’ê·lay אֵ֥ת - ’êṯ וַאֲנִ֛י and I wa·’ă·nî כֹּתֵ֥ב wrote [them] kō·ṯêḇ בַּדְּיֽוֹ׃פ in ink bad·də·yōw עַל־ on ‘al- הַסֵּ֖פֶר the scroll .” has·sê·p̄er Jeremiah 36:19 הַשָּׂרִים֙ Then the officials haś·śā·rîm וַיֹּאמְר֤וּ said way·yō·mə·rū אֶל־ to ’el- בָּר֔וּךְ Baruch , bā·rūḵ לֵ֥ךְ . . . lêḵ אַתָּ֣ה “ You ’at·tāh וְיִרְמְיָ֑הוּ and Jeremiah wə·yir·mə·yā·hū הִסָּתֵ֖ר must hide yourselves his·sā·ṯêr יֵדַ֖ע and tell yê·ḏa‘ אַל־ no ’al- וְאִ֥ישׁ one wə·’îš אֵיפֹ֥ה where ’ê·p̄ōh אַתֶּֽם׃ you are .” ’at·tem Jeremiah 36:20 וַיָּבֹ֤אוּ So [the officials] went way·yā·ḇō·’ū אֶל־ to ’el- הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ the king ham·me·leḵ חָצֵ֔רָה in the courtyard . ḥā·ṣê·rāh וְאֶת־ And wə·’eṯ- הִפְקִ֔דוּ having stored hip̄·qi·ḏū הַמְּגִלָּ֣ה the scroll ham·mə·ḡil·lāh בְּלִשְׁכַּ֖ת in the chamber bə·liš·kaṯ אֱלִישָׁמָ֣ע of Elishama ’ĕ·lî·šā·mā‘ הַסֹּפֵ֑ר the scribe , has·sō·p̄êr וַיַּגִּ֙ידוּ֙ they reported way·yag·gî·ḏū
