נְאֻם־ declares nə·’um- יְהוָֽה׃ YHWH . Yah·weh Jeremiah 35:14 דִּבְרֵ֣י The words diḇ·rê יְהוֹנָדָ֣ב of Jonadab yə·hō·w·nā·ḏāḇ בֶּן־ son ben- רֵ֠כָב of Rechab rê·ḵāḇ הוּקַ֡ם have been carried out . hū·qam אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אֲשֶׁר־ He ’ă·šer- צִוָּ֨ה commanded ṣiw·wāh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- בָּנָ֜יו his sons bā·nāw לְבִלְתִּ֣י not lə·ḇil·tî שְׁתֽוֹת־ to drink šə·ṯō·wṯ- יַ֗יִן wine , ya·yin וְלֹ֤א and they have not wə·lō שָׁתוּ֙ drunk [it] šā·ṯū עַד־ to ‘aḏ- הַזֶּ֔ה this very haz·zeh הַיּ֣וֹם day hay·yō·wm כִּ֣י because kî שָֽׁמְע֔וּ they have obeyed šā·mə·‘ū אֵ֖ת - ’êṯ מִצְוַ֣ת the command miṣ·waṯ אֲבִיהֶ֑ם of their forefather . ’ă·ḇî·hem וְאָ֨נֹכִ֜י But I wə·’ā·nō·ḵî דִּבַּ֤רְתִּי have spoken dib·bar·tî אֲלֵיכֶם֙ to you ’ă·lê·ḵem הַשְׁכֵּ֣ם again and again haš·kêm וְדַבֵּ֔ר . . . , wə·ḏab·bêr וְלֹ֥א and you have not wə·lō שְׁמַעְתֶּ֖ם obeyed Me šə·ma‘·tem אֵלָֽי׃ . . . ! ’ê·lāy Jeremiah 35:15 הַשְׁכֵּ֣ים Again haš·kêm וְשָׁלֹ֣חַ׀ and again wə·šā·lō·aḥ וָאֶשְׁלַ֣ח I have sent wā·’eš·laḥ אֲלֵיכֶ֣ם you ’ă·lê·ḵem אֶת־ - ’eṯ- כָּל־ all kāl- עֲבָדַ֣י My servants ‘ă·ḇā·ḏay הַנְּבִאִ֣ים׀ the prophets , han·nə·ḇi·’îm לֵאמֹ֡ר proclaiming : lê·mōr שֻׁבוּ־ ‘ Turn šu·ḇū- נָ֡א now , nā אִישׁ֩ each of you , ’îš הָרָעָ֜ה from your wicked hā·rā·‘āh מִדַּרְכּ֨וֹ ways , mid·dar·kōw וְהֵיטִ֣יבוּ and correct wə·hê·ṭî·ḇū מַֽעַלְלֵיכֶ֗ם your actions . ma·‘al·lê·ḵem וְאַל־ Do not wə·’al- תֵּ֨לְכ֜וּ go after tê·lə·ḵū אַחֲרֵ֨י . . . ’a·ḥă·rê אֲחֵרִים֙ other ’ă·ḥê·rîm אֱלֹהִ֤ים gods ’ĕ·lō·hîm לְעָבְדָ֔ם to serve them . lə·‘ā·ḇə·ḏām וּשְׁבוּ֙ Live ū·šə·ḇū אֶל־ in ’el- הָ֣אֲדָמָ֔ה the land hā·’ă·ḏā·māh אֲשֶׁר־ that ’ă·šer- נָתַ֥תִּי I have given nā·ṯat·tî לָכֶ֖ם to you lā·ḵem וְלַאֲבֹֽתֵיכֶ֑ם and your fathers . ’ wə·la·’ă·ḇō·ṯê·ḵem וְלֹ֤א But you have not wə·lō הִטִּיתֶם֙ inclined hiṭ·ṭî·ṯem אֶֽת־ ’eṯ- אָזְנְכֶ֔ם your ear ’ā·zə·nə·ḵem וְלֹ֥א [or] wə·lō שְׁמַעְתֶּ֖ם listened šə·ma‘·tem אֵלָֽי׃ to Me . ’ê·lāy Jeremiah 35:16 כִּ֣י Yes , kî בְּנֵי֙ the sons bə·nê יְהוֹנָדָ֣ב of Jonadab yə·hō·w·nā·ḏāḇ בֶּן־ son ben- רֵכָ֔ב of Rechab rê·ḵāḇ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הֵקִ֗ימוּ carried out hê·qî·mū מִצְוַ֥ת the command miṣ·waṯ אֲבִיהֶ֖ם their forefather ’ă·ḇî·hem אֲשֶׁ֣ר ’ă·šer צִוָּ֑ם gave them , ṣiw·wām הַזֶּ֔ה but these haz·zeh וְהָעָ֣ם people wə·hā·‘ām לֹ֥א have not lō שָׁמְע֖וּ listened šā·mə·‘ū אֵלָֽי׃ס to Me . ’ê·lāy Jeremiah 35:17 לָ֠כֵן Therefore lā·ḵên כֹּֽה־ this is what kōh- יְהוָ֜ה YHWH Yah·weh
