וַתָּשִׁ֗בוּ has taken back wat·tā·ši·ḇū עַבְדּוֹ֙ the menservants and maidservants ‘aḇ·dōw וְאִ֣ישׁ . . . wə·’îš אֶת־ - ’eṯ- שִׁפְחָת֔וֹ - šip̄·ḥā·ṯōw אֲשֶׁר־ whom ’ă·šer- שִׁלַּחְתֶּ֥ם you had set šil·laḥ·tem חָפְשִׁ֖ים at liberty ḥā·p̄ə·šîm לְנַפְשָׁ֑ם to go wherever they wanted , lə·nap̄·šām וַתִּכְבְּשׁ֣וּ and you have again forced wat·tiḵ·bə·šū אֹתָ֔ם them ’ō·ṯām לִֽהְי֣וֹת to be lih·yō·wṯ לָכֶ֔ם your lā·ḵem לַעֲבָדִ֖ים slaves la·‘ă·ḇā·ḏîm וְלִשְׁפָחֽוֹת׃ס . . . . wə·liš·p̄ā·ḥō·wṯ Jeremiah 34:17 לָכֵן֮ Therefore lā·ḵên כֹּה־ this is what kōh- יְהוָה֒ YHWH Yah·weh אָמַ֣ר says : ’ā·mar אַתֶּם֙ You ’at·tem לֹֽא־ have not lō- שְׁמַעְתֶּ֣ם obeyed šə·ma‘·tem אֵלַ֔י Me ; ’ê·lay לִקְרֹ֣א you have not proclaimed liq·rō דְר֔וֹר freedom , ḏə·rō·wr אִ֥ישׁ each man ’îš לְאָחִ֖יו for his brother lə·’ā·ḥîw וְאִ֣ישׁ . . . wə·’îš לְרֵעֵ֑הוּ and for his neighbor . lə·rê·‘ê·hū הִנְנִ֣י So now hin·nî קֹרֵא֩ I proclaim qō·rê דְּר֜וֹר freedom də·rō·wr לָכֶ֨ם for you , lā·ḵem נְאֻם־ declares nə·’um- יְהוָ֗ה YHWH — Yah·weh אֶל־ [freedom] to [fall] ’el- הַחֶ֙רֶב֙ by sword , ha·ḥe·reḇ אֶל־ by ’el- הַדֶּ֣בֶר plague , had·de·ḇer וְאֶל־ and by wə·’el- הָרָעָ֔ב famine ! hā·rā·‘āḇ וְנָתַתִּ֤י I will make you wə·nā·ṯat·tî אֶתְכֶם֙ - ’eṯ·ḵem לִזְוָעָה a horror liz·wå̄·ʿå̄h לְכֹ֖ל to all lə·ḵōl מַמְלְכ֥וֹת the kingdoms mam·lə·ḵō·wṯ הָאָֽרֶץ׃ of the earth . hā·’ā·reṣ Jeremiah 34:18 הָעֹֽבְרִים֙ And those who have transgressed hā·‘ō·ḇə·rîm אֶת־ - ’eṯ- בְּרִתִ֔י My covenant bə·ri·ṯî אֲשֶׁ֤ר - ’ă·šer לֹֽא־ and have not lō- הֵקִ֙ימוּ֙ fulfilled hê·qî·mū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- דִּבְרֵ֣י the terms diḇ·rê הַבְּרִ֔ית of the covenant hab·bə·rîṯ אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer כָּרְת֖וּ they made kā·rə·ṯū לְפָנָ֑י before Me , lə·p̄ā·nāy וְנָתַתִּ֣י I will treat wə·nā·ṯat·tî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הָאֲנָשִׁ֗ים - hā·’ă·nā·šîm הָעֵ֙גֶל֙ like the calf hā·‘ê·ḡel אֲשֶׁ֣ר - ’ă·šer כָּרְת֣וּ they cut kā·rə·ṯū לִשְׁנַ֔יִם in two liš·na·yim וַיַּעַבְר֖וּ in order to pass way·ya·‘aḇ·rū בֵּ֥ין between bên בְּתָרָֽיו׃ its pieces . bə·ṯā·rāw Jeremiah 34:19 שָׂרֵ֨י The officials śā·rê יְהוּדָ֜ה of Judah yə·hū·ḏāh וְשָׂרֵ֣י . . . wə·śā·rê יְרוּשָׁלִַ֗ם and Jerusalem , yə·rū·šā·lim הַסָּֽרִסִים֙ the court officials , has·sā·ri·sîm וְהַכֹּ֣הֲנִ֔ים the priests , wə·hak·kō·hă·nîm וְכֹ֖ל and all wə·ḵōl עַ֣ם the people ‘am הָאָ֑רֶץ of the land hā·’ā·reṣ הָעֹ֣בְרִ֔ים who passed hā·‘ō·ḇə·rîm בֵּ֖ין between bên בִּתְרֵ֥י the pieces biṯ·rê הָעֵֽגֶל׃ of the calf , hā·‘ê·ḡel Jeremiah 34:20 וְנָתַתִּ֤י I will deliver wə·nā·ṯat·tî אוֹתָם֙ - ’ō·w·ṯām בְּיַ֣ד into the hands bə·yaḏ אֹֽיְבֵיהֶ֔ם of their enemies ’ō·yə·ḇê·hem וּבְיַ֖ד . . . ū·ḇə·yaḏ מְבַקְשֵׁ֣י who seek mə·ḇaq·šê
