הָֽעֲבָדִים֙ the menservants hā·‘ă·ḇā·ḏîm וְאֶת־ and wə·’eṯ- הַשְּׁפָח֔וֹת maidservants haš·šə·p̄ā·ḥō·wṯ אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer שִׁלְּח֖וּ they had freed šil·lə·ḥū חָפְשִׁ֑ים . . . , ḥā·p̄ə·šîm וַיַּכְבִּישׁוּם and they forced them way·yaḵ·bī·šūm לַעֲבָדִ֖ים to become slaves la·‘ă·ḇā·ḏîm וְלִשְׁפָחֽוֹת׃ס again . wə·liš·p̄ā·ḥō·wṯ Jeremiah 34:12 דְבַר־ Then the word ḏə·ḇar- יְהוָה֙ of YHWH Yah·weh וַיְהִ֤י came way·hî אֶֽל־ to ’el- יִרְמְיָ֔הוּ Jeremiah yir·mə·yā·hū מֵאֵ֥ת - mê·’êṯ יְהוָ֖ה from YHWH , Yah·weh לֵאמֹֽר׃ saying , lê·mōr Jeremiah 34:13 כֹּֽה־ “ This is what kōh- יְהוָ֖ה YHWH , Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵ֣י the God ’ĕ·lō·hê יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל of Israel , yiś·rā·’êl אָמַ֥ר says : ’ā·mar אָנֹכִ֗י I ’ā·nō·ḵî כָּרַ֤תִּֽי made kā·rat·tî בְרִית֙ a covenant ḇə·rîṯ אֶת־ with ’eṯ- אֲב֣וֹתֵיכֶ֔ם your forefathers ’ă·ḇō·w·ṯê·ḵem בְּי֨וֹם when bə·yō·wm הוֹצִאִ֤י I brought them out hō·w·ṣi·’î אוֹתָם֙ - ’ō·w·ṯām מֵאֶ֣רֶץ of the land mê·’e·reṣ מִצְרַ֔יִם of Egypt , miṣ·ra·yim מִבֵּ֥ית out of the house mib·bêṯ עֲבָדִ֖ים of slavery , ‘ă·ḇā·ḏîm לֵאמֹֽר׃ saying : lê·mōr Jeremiah 34:14 מִקֵּ֣ץ Every miq·qêṣ שֶׁ֣בַע seventh še·ḇa‘ שָׁנִ֡ים year , šā·nîm אִישׁ֩ each ’îš אֶת־ - ’eṯ- תְּֽשַׁלְּח֡וּ of you must free tə·šal·lə·ḥū הָעִבְרִ֜י his Hebrew hā·‘iḇ·rî אָחִ֨יו brother ’ā·ḥîw אֲשֶֽׁר־ who ’ă·šer- יִמָּכֵ֣ר has sold himself yim·mā·ḵêr לְךָ֗ to you . lə·ḵā וַעֲבָֽדְךָ֙ He may serve wa·‘ă·ḇā·ḏə·ḵā שֵׁ֣שׁ you six šêš שָׁנִ֔ים years , šā·nîm וְשִׁלַּחְתּ֥וֹ but then you must let him go wə·šil·laḥ·tōw חָפְשִׁ֖י free ḥā·p̄ə·šî מֵֽעִמָּ֑ךְ - . mê·‘im·māḵ אֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶם֙ But your fathers ’ă·ḇō·w·ṯê·ḵem אֵלַ֔י . . . ’ê·lay וְלֹ֥א . . . wə·lō וְלֹֽא־ did not wə·lō- שָׁמְע֤וּ listen šā·mə·‘ū הִטּ֖וּ or incline hiṭ·ṭū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אָזְנָֽם׃ their ear . ’ā·zə·nām Jeremiah 34:15 הַיּ֗וֹם Recently hay·yō·wm אַתֶּ֜ם you ’at·tem וַתָּשֻׁ֨בוּ repented wat·tā·šu·ḇū וַתַּעֲשׂ֤וּ and did wat·ta·‘ă·śū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַיָּשָׁר֙ what pleased hay·yā·šār בְּעֵינַ֔י Me ; bə·‘ê·nay אִ֣ישׁ each ’îš לִקְרֹ֥א of you proclaimed liq·rō דְר֖וֹר freedom ḏə·rō·wr לְרֵעֵ֑הוּ for his neighbor . lə·rê·‘ê·hū וַתִּכְרְת֤וּ You made wat·tiḵ·rə·ṯū בְרִית֙ a covenant ḇə·rîṯ לְפָנַ֔י before Me lə·p̄ā·nay בַּבַּ֕יִת in the house bab·ba·yiṯ אֲשֶׁר־ that ’ă·šer- נִקְרָ֥א bears niq·rā שְׁמִ֖י My Name šə·mî עָלָֽיו׃ . . . . ‘ā·lāw Jeremiah 34:16 וַתָּשֻׁ֙בוּ֙ But now you have changed your minds wat·tā·šu·ḇū וַתְּחַלְּל֣וּ and profaned wat·tə·ḥal·lə·lū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- שְׁמִ֔י My name . šə·mî אִ֤ישׁ Each of you ’îš אֶת־ - ’eṯ-
