Jeremiah 23:29 הֲל֨וֹא “ Is not hă·lō·w כֹ֧ה . . . ḵōh דְבָרִ֛י My word ḏə·ḇā·rî כָּאֵ֖שׁ like fire , ” kā·’êš נְאֻם־ declares nə·’um- יְהוָ֑ה YHWH , Yah·weh וּכְפַטִּ֖ישׁ “ and like a hammer ū·ḵə·p̄aṭ·ṭîš יְפֹ֥צֵֽץ that smashes yə·p̄ō·ṣêṣ סָֽלַע׃ס a rock ? ” sā·la‘ Jeremiah 23:30 לָכֵ֛ן “ Therefore lā·ḵên הִנְנִ֥י behold , ” hin·nî נְאֻם־ declares nə·’um- יְהוָ֑ה YHWH , Yah·weh עַל־ “ I am against ‘al- הַנְּבִאִ֖ים the prophets han·nə·ḇi·’îm מְגַנְּבֵ֣י who steal mə·ḡan·nə·ḇê אִ֖ישׁ from one ’îš מֵאֵ֥ת . . . mê·’êṯ רֵעֵֽהוּ׃ another rê·‘ê·hū דְבָרַ֔י words [they attribute] to Me . ” ḏə·ḇā·ray Jeremiah 23:31 הִנְנִ֥י “ Yes , ” hin·nî נְאֻם־ declares nə·’um- יְהוָ֑ה YHWH , Yah·weh עַל־ “ I am against ‘al- הַנְּבִיאִ֖ם the prophets han·nə·ḇî·’im הַלֹּקְחִ֣ים who wag hal·lō·qə·ḥîm לְשׁוֹנָ֔ם their own tongues lə·šō·w·nām וַֽיִּנְאֲמ֖וּ and proclaim , way·yin·’ă·mū נְאֻֽם׃ ‘ [YHWH] declares [it] .’ ” nə·’um Jeremiah 23:32 הִ֠נְנִי “ Indeed , ” hin·nî נְאֻם־ declares nə·’um- יְהוָ֔ה YHWH , Yah·weh עַֽל־ “ I am against ‘al- נִבְּאֵ֞י those who prophesy nib·bə·’ê שֶׁ֙קֶר֙ false še·qer חֲלֹמ֥וֹת dreams ḥă·lō·mō·wṯ וַֽיְסַפְּרוּם֙ and retell them way·sap·pə·rūm עַמִּ֔י to lead My people ‘am·mî וַיַּתְע֣וּ astray way·yaṯ·‘ū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וּבְפַחֲזוּתָ֑ם with their reckless ū·ḇə·p̄a·ḥă·zū·ṯām בְּשִׁקְרֵיהֶ֖ם lies . bə·šiq·rê·hem לֹֽא־ It was not lō- וְאָנֹכִ֨י I wə·’ā·nō·ḵî שְׁלַחְתִּ֜ים who sent them šə·laḥ·tîm צִוִּיתִ֗ים or commanded them , ṣiw·wî·ṯîm וְלֹ֣א and they are of no wə·lō וְהוֹעֵ֛יל benefit wə·hō·w·‘êl לֹֽא־ . . . lō- יוֹעִ֥ילוּ at all yō·w·‘î·lū הַזֶּ֖ה to these haz·zeh לָֽעָם־ people , ” lā·‘ām- נְאֻם־ declares nə·’um- יְהוָֽה׃ YHWH . Yah·weh Jeremiah 23:33 וְכִי־ “ Now when wə·ḵî- הַזֶּ֜ה this haz·zeh הָעָ֨ם people hā·‘ām אֽוֹ־ or ’ōw- הַנָּבִ֤יא a prophet han·nā·ḇî אֽוֹ־ or ’ōw- כֹהֵן֙ priest ḵō·hên יִשְׁאָלְךָ֩ asks you , yiš·’ā·lə·ḵā מַה־ ‘ What mah- מַשָּׂ֖א is the burden maś·śā יְהוָ֑ה of YHWH ? ’ Yah·weh וְאָמַרְתָּ֤ . . . wə·’ā·mar·tā לֵאמֹ֔ר you are to say lê·mōr אֲלֵיהֶם֙ to them ’ă·lê·hem אֶת־ - , ’eṯ- מַה־ ‘ What mah- מַשָּׂ֔א burden ? maś·śā וְנָטַשְׁתִּ֥י I will forsake wə·nā·ṭaš·tî אֶתְכֶ֖ם you , ’eṯ·ḵem נְאֻם־ declares nə·’um- יְהוָֽה׃ YHWH . ’ Yah·weh Jeremiah 23:34 וְהַנָּבִ֤יא As for the prophet wə·han·nā·ḇî וְהַכֹּהֵן֙ [or] priest wə·hak·kō·hên וְהָעָ֔ם [or] anyone wə·hā·‘ām אֲשֶׁ֥ר who ’ă·šer יֹאמַ֖ר claims , yō·mar מַשָּׂ֣א ‘ This is the burden maś·śā יְהוָ֑ה of YHWH , ’ Yah·weh וּפָקַדְתִּ֛י I will punish ū·p̄ā·qaḏ·tî עַל־ . . . ‘al- הַה֖וּא that ha·hū
