פַּרְעֹ֜ה Pharaoh par·‘ōh וַיָּ֨קָם got up — way·yā·qām ה֤וּא he hū וְכָל־ and all wə·ḵāl עֲבָדָיו֙ his officials ‘ă·ḇā·ḏāw וְכָל־ and all wə·ḵāl מִצְרַ֔יִם . . . miṣ·ra·yim בְּמִצְרָ֑יִם the Egyptians — bə·miṣ·rā·yim וַתְּהִ֛י and there was wat·tə·hî גְדֹלָ֖ה loud ḡə·ḏō·lāh צְעָקָ֥ה wailing ṣə·‘ā·qāh כִּֽי־ in Egypt ; kî- אֵ֣ין for there was no ’ên בַּ֔יִת house ba·yiṯ אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer אֵֽין־ without ’ên- שָׁ֖ם . . . šām מֵֽת׃ someone dead . mêṯ Exodus 12:31 וַיִּקְרָא֩ Then [Pharaoh] summoned way·yiq·rā לְמֹשֶׁ֨ה Moses lə·mō·šeh וּֽלְאַהֲרֹ֜ן and Aaron ū·lə·’a·hă·rōn לַ֗יְלָה by night lay·lāh וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ and said , way·yō·mer ק֤וּמוּ “ Get up , qū·mū צְּאוּ֙ leave ṣə·’ū מִתּ֣וֹךְ . . . mit·tō·wḵ עַמִּ֔י my people , ‘am·mî גַּם־ both gam- אַתֶּ֖ם you ’at·tem גַּם־ and gam- בְּנֵ֣י the Israelites bə·nê יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל . . . ! yiś·rā·’êl וּלְכ֛וּ Go , ū·lə·ḵū עִבְד֥וּ worship ‘iḇ·ḏū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יְהוָ֖ה YHWH Yah·weh כְּדַבֶּרְכֶֽם׃ as you have requested . kə·ḏab·ber·ḵem Exodus 12:32 קְח֛וּ Take qə·ḥū צֹאנְכֶ֨ם your flocks ṣō·nə·ḵem גַּם־ and gam- בְּקַרְכֶ֥ם herds bə·qar·ḵem גַּם־ as well , gam- כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר just as ka·’ă·šer דִּבַּרְתֶּ֖ם you have said , dib·bar·tem וָלֵ֑כוּ and depart ! wā·lê·ḵū וּבֵֽרַכְתֶּ֖ם And bless ū·ḇê·raḵ·tem אֹתִֽי׃ me ’ō·ṯî גַּם־ also . ” gam- Exodus 12:33 לְשַׁלְּחָ֣ם And in order to send them lə·šal·lə·ḥām מִן־ out of min- הָאָ֑רֶץ the land hā·’ā·reṣ לְמַהֵ֖ר quickly , lə·ma·hêr מִצְרַ֙יִם֙ the Egyptians miṣ·ra·yim עַל־ . . . ‘al- וַתֶּחֱזַ֤ק urged wat·te·ḥĕ·zaq הָעָ֔ם the people on . hā·‘ām כִּ֥י “ For [otherwise] , ” kî אָמְר֖וּ they said , ’ā·mə·rū כֻּלָּ֥נוּ “ we are all kul·lā·nū מֵתִֽים׃ going to die ! ” mê·ṯîm Exodus 12:34 הָעָ֛ם So the people hā·‘ām אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיִּשָּׂ֥א took way·yiś·śā בְּצֵק֖וֹ their dough bə·ṣê·qōw טֶ֣רֶם before ṭe·rem יֶחְמָ֑ץ it was leavened , yeḥ·māṣ עַל־ [carrying it] on ‘al- שִׁכְמָֽם׃ their shoulders šiḵ·mām מִשְׁאֲרֹתָ֛ם in kneading bowls miš·’ă·rō·ṯām צְרֻרֹ֥ת wrapped ṣə·ru·rōṯ בְּשִׂמְלֹתָ֖ם in clothing . bə·śim·lō·ṯām Exodus 12:35 וּבְנֵי־ Furthermore, the Israelites ū·ḇə·nê- יִשְׂרָאֵ֥ל . . . yiś·rā·’êl עָשׂ֖וּ acted ‘ā·śū מֹשֶׁ֑ה on Moses’ mō·šeh כִּדְבַ֣ר word kiḏ·ḇar וַֽיִּשְׁאֲלוּ֙ and asked way·yiš·’ă·lū מִמִּצְרַ֔יִם the Egyptians mim·miṣ·ra·yim כְּלֵי־ for articles kə·lê- כֶ֛סֶף of silver ḵe·sep̄ וּכְלֵ֥י and ū·ḵə·lê זָהָ֖ב gold , zā·hāḇ וּשְׂמָלֹֽת׃ and for clothing . ū·śə·mā·lōṯ
