הַזֶּ֛ה to this haz·zeh לַמָּק֥וֹם place lam·mā·qō·wm וּלְיֽוֹשְׁבָ֑יו and to its residents , ū·lə·yō·wō·šə·ḇāw נְאֻם־ declares nə·’um- יְהוָ֖ה YHWH . Yah·weh וְלָתֵ֛ת I will make wə·lā·ṯêṯ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַזֹּ֖את this haz·zōṯ הָעִ֥יר city hā·‘îr כְּתֹֽפֶת׃ like Topheth . kə·ṯō·p̄eṯ Jeremiah 19:13 בָּתֵּ֣י The houses bāt·tê יְרוּשָׁלִַ֗ם of Jerusalem yə·rū·šā·lim וּבָתֵּי֙ and the houses ū·ḇāt·tê מַלְכֵ֣י of the kings mal·ḵê יְהוּדָ֔ה of Judah yə·hū·ḏāh וְהָי֞וּ will be wə·hā·yū הַטְּמֵאִ֑ים defiled haṭ·ṭə·mê·’îm כִּמְק֥וֹם like that place , kim·qō·wm הַתֹּ֖פֶת Topheth — hat·tō·p̄eṯ לְכֹ֣ל all lə·ḵōl הַבָּתִּ֗ים the houses hab·bāt·tîm אֲשֶׁ֨ר - ’ă·šer עַל־ on ‘al- גַּגֹּֽתֵיהֶם֙ whose rooftops gag·gō·ṯê·hem קִטְּר֜וּ they burned incense qiṭ·ṭə·rū לְכֹל֙ to all lə·ḵōl צְבָ֣א the host ṣə·ḇā הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם of heaven haš·šā·ma·yim וְהַסֵּ֥ךְ and poured out wə·has·sêḵ נְסָכִ֖ים drink offerings nə·sā·ḵîm אֲחֵרִֽים׃פ to other ’ă·ḥê·rîm לֵאלֹהִ֥ים gods .” lê·lō·hîm Jeremiah 19:14 יִרְמְיָ֙הוּ֙ Then Jeremiah yir·mə·yā·hū וַיָּבֹ֤א returned way·yā·ḇō מֵֽהַתֹּ֔פֶת from Topheth , mê·hat·tō·p̄eṯ אֲשֶׁ֨ר where ’ă·šer יְהוָ֛ה YHWH Yah·weh שָׁ֖ם . . . šām שְׁלָח֧וֹ had sent him šə·lā·ḥōw לְהִנָּבֵ֑א to prophesy , lə·hin·nā·ḇê וַֽיַּעֲמֹד֙ and he stood way·ya·‘ă·mōḏ בַּחֲצַ֣ר in the courtyard ba·ḥă·ṣar בֵּית־ of the house bêṯ- יְהוָ֔ה of YHWH Yah·weh וַיֹּ֖אמֶר and proclaimed way·yō·mer אֶל־ to ’el- כָּל־ all kāl- הָעָֽם׃ס the people , hā·‘ām Jeremiah 19:15 כֹּֽה־ “ This is what kōh- יְהוָ֤ה YHWH Yah·weh צְבָאוֹת֙ of Hosts , ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ אֱלֹהֵ֣י the God ’ĕ·lō·hê יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל of Israel , yiś·rā·’êl אָמַ֞ר says : ’ā·mar הִנְנִ֨י ‘ Behold , hin·nî מֵבִי I am about to bring mē·ḇī אֶל־ on ’el- הַזֹּאת֙ this haz·zōṯ הָעִ֤יר city hā·‘îr וְעַל־ and on wə·‘al- כָּל־ all kāl- עָרֶ֔יהָ the villages around it ‘ā·re·hā אֵ֚ת - ’êṯ כָּל־ every kāl- הָ֣רָעָ֔ה disaster hā·rā·‘āh אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer דִּבַּ֖רְתִּי I have pronounced dib·bar·tî עָלֶ֑יהָ against them , ‘ā·le·hā כִּ֤י because kî הִקְשׁוּ֙ they have stiffened hiq·šū אֶת־ ’eṯ- עָרְפָּ֔ם their necks ‘ā·rə·pām לְבִלְתִּ֖י so as not lə·ḇil·tî שְׁמ֥וֹעַ to heed šə·mō·w·a‘ אֶת־ ’eṯ- דְּבָרָֽי׃ My words . ’” də·ḇā·rāy Jeremiah 20:1 פַּשְׁחוּר֙ When Pashhur paš·ḥūr הַכֹּהֵ֔ן the priest , hak·kō·hên וְהֽוּא־ . . . wə·hū- בֶּן־ the son ben- אִמֵּ֣ר of Immer ’im·mêr נָגִ֖יד and the chief nā·ḡîḏ פָקִ֥יד official p̄ā·qîḏ בְּבֵ֣ית in the house bə·ḇêṯ יְהוָ֑ה of YHWH , Yah·weh אֶֽת־ - ’eṯ- וַיִּשְׁמַ֤ע heard way·yiš·ma‘ יִרְמְיָ֔הוּ Jeremiah yir·mə·yā·hū
