וְהִפַּלְתִּ֤ים I will make them fall wə·hip·pal·tîm בַּחֶ֙רֶב֙ by the sword ba·ḥe·reḇ לִפְנֵ֣י before lip̄·nê אֹֽיְבֵיהֶ֔ם their enemies , ’ō·yə·ḇê·hem וּבְיַ֖ד by the hands ū·ḇə·yaḏ מְבַקְשֵׁ֣י of those who seek mə·ḇaq·šê נַפְשָׁ֑ם their lives , nap̄·šām וְנָתַתִּ֤י and I will give wə·nā·ṯat·tî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- נִבְלָתָם֙ their carcasses niḇ·lā·ṯām לְמַֽאֲכָ֔ל as food lə·ma·’ă·ḵāl לְע֥וֹף to the birds lə·‘ō·wp̄ הַשָּׁמַ֖יִם of the air haš·šā·ma·yim וּלְבֶהֱמַ֥ת and the beasts ū·lə·ḇe·hĕ·maṯ הָאָֽרֶץ׃ of the earth . hā·’ā·reṣ Jeremiah 19:8 וְשַׂמְתִּי֙ I will make wə·śam·tî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַזֹּ֔את this haz·zōṯ הָעִ֣יר city hā·‘îr לְשַׁמָּ֖ה a desolation lə·šam·māh וְלִשְׁרֵקָ֑ה and an [object of] scorn . wə·liš·rê·qāh כֹּ֚ל All kōl עֹבֵ֣ר who pass ‘ō·ḇêr עָלֶ֔יהָ by ‘ā·le·hā יִשֹּׁ֥ם will be appalled yiš·šōm וְיִשְׁרֹ֖ק and will scoff wə·yiš·rōq עַל־ at ‘al- כָּל־ all kāl- מַכֹּתֶֽהָ׃ her wounds . mak·kō·ṯe·hā Jeremiah 19:9 וְהַֽאֲכַלְתִּ֞ים I will make them eat wə·ha·’ă·ḵal·tîm אֶת־ - ’eṯ- בְּשַׂ֣ר the flesh bə·śar בְּנֵיהֶ֗ם of their sons bə·nê·hem וְאֵת֙ and wə·’êṯ בְּשַׂ֣ר bə·śar בְּנֹתֵיהֶ֔ם daughters , bə·nō·ṯê·hem יֹאכֵ֑לוּ and they will eat yō·ḵê·lū וְאִ֥ישׁ one wə·’îš רֵעֵ֖הוּ another’s rê·‘ê·hū בְּשַׂר־ flesh bə·śar- בְּמָצוֹר֙ in the siege bə·mā·ṣō·wr וּבְמָצ֔וֹק and distress ū·ḇə·mā·ṣō·wq אֲשֶׁ֨ר - ’ă·šer יָצִ֧יקוּ inflicted yā·ṣî·qū לָהֶ֛ם on them lā·hem אֹיְבֵיהֶ֖ם by their enemies ’ō·yə·ḇê·hem וּמְבַקְשֵׁ֥י who seek ū·mə·ḇaq·šê נַפְשָֽׁם׃ their lives . ’ nap̄·šām Jeremiah 19:10 וְשָׁבַרְתָּ֖ Then you are to shatter wə·šā·ḇar·tā הַבַּקְבֻּ֑ק the jar hab·baq·buq לְעֵינֵי֙ in the presence lə·‘ê·nê הָֽאֲנָשִׁ֔ים of the men hā·’ă·nā·šîm הַהֹלְכִ֖ים who accompany ha·hō·lə·ḵîm אוֹתָֽךְ׃ you , ’ō·w·ṯāḵ Jeremiah 19:11 וְאָמַרְתָּ֨ and you are to proclaim wə·’ā·mar·tā אֲלֵיהֶ֜ם to them ’ă·lê·hem כֹּה־ that this is what kōh- יְהוָ֣ה YHWH Yah·weh צְבָא֗וֹת of Hosts ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ כָּ֣כָה . . . kā·ḵāh אָמַ֣ר׀ says : ’ā·mar אֶשְׁבֹּ֞ר I will shatter ’eš·bōr אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַזֶּה֙ this haz·zeh וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- הָעָ֤ם nation hā·‘ām הַזֹּ֔את and this haz·zōṯ הָעִ֣יר city , hā·‘îr כַּאֲשֶׁ֤ר like ka·’ă·šer יִשְׁבֹּר֙ one shatters yiš·bōr אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַיּוֹצֵ֔ר a potter’s hay·yō·w·ṣêr כְּלִ֣י jar kə·lî אֲשֶׁ֛ר that ’ă·šer יוּכַ֥ל can yū·ḵal לֹֽא־ never lō- ע֑וֹד again ‘ō·wḏ לְהֵרָפֵ֖ה be repaired . lə·hê·rā·p̄êh יִקְבְּר֔וּ They will bury the dead yiq·bə·rū וּבְתֹ֣פֶת in Topheth ū·ḇə·ṯō·p̄eṯ מֵאֵ֥ין until there is no more mê·’ên מָק֖וֹם room mā·qō·wm לִקְבּֽוֹר׃ to bury [them] . liq·bō·wr Jeremiah 19:12 כֵּֽן־ This is what kên- אֶעֱשֶׂ֞ה I will do ’e·‘ĕ·śeh
