עַל־ upon them . ‘al- נְשֵׁיהֶ֤ם Let their wives nə·šê·hem וְתִֽהְיֶ֨נָה become wə·ṯih·ye·nāh שַׁכֻּלוֹת֙ childless šak·ku·lō·wṯ וְאַלְמָנ֔וֹת and widowed ; wə·’al·mā·nō·wṯ וְאַ֨נְשֵׁיהֶ֔ם let their husbands wə·’an·šê·hem יִֽהְי֖וּ . . . yih·yū הֲרֻ֣גֵי be slain hă·ru·ḡê מָ֑וֶת by disease , mā·weṯ בַּח֣וּרֵיהֶ֔ם their young men ba·ḥū·rê·hem מֻכֵּי־ struck down muk·kê- חֶ֖רֶב by the sword ḥe·reḇ בַּמִּלְחָמָֽה׃ in battle . bam·mil·ḥā·māh Jeremiah 18:22 זְעָקָה֙ Let a cry zə·‘ā·qāh תִּשָּׁמַ֤ע be heard tiš·šā·ma‘ מִבָּ֣תֵּיהֶ֔ם from their houses mib·bāt·tê·hem כִּֽי־ when kî- פִּתְאֹ֑ם You suddenly piṯ·’ōm תָבִ֧יא bring ṯā·ḇî גְּד֖וּד raiders gə·ḏūḏ עֲלֵיהֶ֛ם against them , ‘ă·lê·hem כִּֽי־ for kî- כָר֤וּ they have dug ḵā·rū שִׁיחָה a pit šī·ḥå̄h לְלָכְדֵ֔נִי to capture me lə·lā·ḵə·ḏê·nî טָמְנ֥וּ and have hidden ṭā·mə·nū וּפַחִ֖ים snares ū·p̄a·ḥîm לְרַגְלָֽי׃ for my feet . lə·raḡ·lāy Jeremiah 18:23 וְאַתָּ֣ה But You , wə·’at·tāh יְ֠הוָה O YHWH , Yah·weh יָדַ֜עְתָּ know yā·ḏa‘·tā אֶֽת־ - ’eṯ- כָּל־ all kāl- לַמָּ֔וֶת their deadly lam·mā·weṯ עֲצָתָ֤ם plots ‘ă·ṣā·ṯām עָלַי֙ against me . ‘ā·lay אַל־ Do not ’al- תְּכַפֵּר֙ wipe out tə·ḵap·pêr עַל־ . . . ‘al- עֲוֺנָ֔ם their guilt ‘ă·wō·nām אַל־ [or] ’al- תֶּ֑מְחִי blot out tem·ḥî וְהָיוּ . . . wə·hå̄·yū וְחַטָּאתָ֖ם their sin wə·ḥaṭ·ṭā·ṯām מִלְּפָנֶ֣יךָ from Your sight . mil·lə·p̄ā·ne·ḵā מֻכְשָׁלִים֙ Let them be overthrown muḵ·šā·lîm לְפָנֶ֔יךָ before You ; lə·p̄ā·ne·ḵā עֲשֵׂ֥ה deal ‘ă·śêh בָהֶֽם׃ס with them ḇā·hem בְּעֵ֥ת in the time bə·‘êṯ אַפְּךָ֖ of Your anger . ’ap·pə·ḵā Jeremiah 19:1 כֹּ֚ה This is what kōh יְהוָ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh אָמַ֣ר says : ’ā·mar הָל֛וֹךְ “ Go hā·lō·wḵ וְקָנִ֥יתָ and buy wə·qā·nî·ṯā חָ֑רֶשׂ a clay ḥā·reś בַקְבֻּ֖ק jar ḇaq·buq יוֹצֵ֣ר from a potter . yō·w·ṣêr וּמִזִּקְנֵ֣י Take some of the elders ū·miz·ziq·nê הָעָ֔ם of the people hā·‘ām וּמִזִּקְנֵ֖י and leaders ū·miz·ziq·nê הַכֹּהֲנִֽים׃ of the priests , hak·kō·hă·nîm Jeremiah 19:2 וְיָצָ֙אתָ֙ and go wə·yā·ṣā·ṯā אֶל־ out to ’el- גֵּ֣יא the Valley gê בֶן־ of Ben-hinnom ḇen- הִנֹּ֔ם . . . hin·nōm אֲשֶׁ֕ר - ’ă·šer פֶּ֖תַח near the entrance pe·ṯaḥ הַחֲרָסוּת of the Potsherd ha·ḥă·rå̄·sūṯ שַׁ֣עַר Gate . ša·‘ar וְקָרָ֣אתָ Proclaim wə·qā·rā·ṯā שָּׁ֔ם there šām אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַדְּבָרִ֖ים the words had·də·ḇā·rîm אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- אֲדַבֵּ֥ר I speak ’ă·ḏab·bêr אֵלֶֽיךָ׃ to you , ’ê·le·ḵā Jeremiah 19:3 וְאָֽמַרְתָּ֙ saying , wə·’ā·mar·tā שִׁמְע֣וּ ‘ Hear šim·‘ū דְבַר־ the word ḏə·ḇar- יְהוָ֔ה of YHWH , Yah·weh מַלְכֵ֣י O kings mal·ḵê יְהוּדָ֔ה of Judah yə·hū·ḏāh
