לְבִלְתִּ֖י and does not lə·ḇil·tî שְׁמֹ֣עַ listen šə·mō·a‘ בְּקוֹלִ֑י to My voice , bə·qō·w·lî וְנִֽחַמְתִּי֙ then I will relent wə·ni·ḥam·tî עַל־ of ‘al- הַטּוֹבָ֔ה the good haṭ·ṭō·w·ḇāh אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer אָמַ֖רְתִּי I had intended for it ’ā·mar·tî לְהֵיטִ֥יב . . . lə·hê·ṭîḇ אוֹתֽוֹ׃ס - . ’ō·w·ṯōw Jeremiah 18:11 וְעַתָּ֡ה Now wə·‘at·tāh נָ֣א therefore , nā אֱמָר־ tell ’ĕ·mār- אֶל־ . . . ’el- אִישׁ־ the men ’îš- יְהוּדָה֩ of Judah yə·hū·ḏāh וְעַל־ and wə·‘al- יוֹשְׁבֵ֨י the residents yō·wō·šə·ḇê יְרוּשָׁלִַ֜ם of Jerusalem yə·rū·šā·lim כֹּ֚ה that this is what kōh אָמַ֣ר . . . ’ā·mar יְהוָ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh לֵאמֹ֗ר says : lê·mōr הִנֵּ֨ה ‘ Behold , hin·nêh אָנֹכִ֜י I ’ā·nō·ḵî יוֹצֵ֤ר am planning yō·w·ṣêr רָעָ֔ה a disaster rā·‘āh עֲלֵיכֶם֙ for you ‘ă·lê·ḵem וְחֹשֵׁ֥ב and devising wə·ḥō·šêḇ מַֽחֲשָׁבָ֑ה a plan ma·ḥă·šā·ḇāh עֲלֵיכֶ֖ם against you . ‘ă·lê·ḵem שׁ֣וּבוּ Turn šū·ḇū נָ֗א now , nā אִ֚ישׁ each of you , ’îš הָֽרָעָ֔ה from your evil hā·rā·‘āh מִדַּרְכּ֣וֹ ways , mid·dar·kōw וְהֵיטִ֥יבוּ and correct wə·hê·ṭî·ḇū דַרְכֵיכֶ֖ם your ways ḏar·ḵê·ḵem וּמַעַלְלֵיכֶֽם׃ and deeds . ’ ū·ma·‘al·lê·ḵem Jeremiah 18:12 וְאָמְר֖וּ But they will reply , wə·’ā·mə·rū נוֹאָ֑שׁ ‘ It is hopeless . nō·w·’āš כִּֽי־ . . . kî- נֵלֵ֔ךְ We will follow nê·lêḵ אַחֲרֵ֤י . . . ’a·ḥă·rê מַחְשְׁבוֹתֵ֙ינוּ֙ our own plans , maḥ·šə·ḇō·w·ṯê·nū וְאִ֛ישׁ and each of us wə·’îš נַעֲשֶֽׂה׃ס will act na·‘ă·śeh שְׁרִר֥וּת according to the stubbornness šə·ri·rūṯ הָרָ֖ע of his evil hā·rā‘ לִבּֽוֹ־ heart . ’” lib·bōw- Jeremiah 18:13 לָכֵ֗ן Therefore lā·ḵên כֹּ֚ה this is what kōh יְהוָ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh אָמַ֣ר says : ’ā·mar שַֽׁאֲלוּ־ “ Inquire ša·’ă·lū- נָא֙ . . . nā בַּגּוֹיִ֔ם among the nations : bag·gō·w·yim מִ֥י Who mî שָׁמַ֖ע has ever heard šā·ma‘ כָּאֵ֑לֶּה things like these ? kā·’êl·leh בְּתוּלַ֖ת Virgin bə·ṯū·laṯ יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ Israel yiś·rā·’êl עָשְׂתָ֣ה has done ‘ā·śə·ṯāh מְאֹ֔ד a most mə·’ōḏ שַֽׁעֲרֻרִת֙ terrible thing . ša·‘ă·ru·riṯ Jeremiah 18:14 שֶׁ֣לֶג Does the snow še·leḡ לְבָנ֑וֹן of Lebanon lə·ḇā·nō·wn הֲיַעֲזֹ֥ב ever leave hă·ya·‘ă·zōḇ מִצּ֛וּר its rocky miṣ·ṣūr שָׂדַ֖י slopes ? śā·ḏay אִם־ Or ’im- קָרִ֖ים do its cool qā·rîm מַ֛יִם waters ma·yim נוֹזְלִֽים׃ flowing nō·wz·lîm זָרִ֥ים from a distance zā·rîm יִנָּתְשׁ֗וּ ever run dry ? yin·nā·ṯə·šū Jeremiah 18:15 כִּֽי־ Yet kî- עַמִּ֖י My people ‘am·mî שְׁכֵחֻ֥נִי have forgotten Me . šə·ḵê·ḥu·nî יְקַטֵּ֑רוּ They burn incense yə·qaṭ·ṭê·rū לַשָּׁ֣וְא to worthless idols laš·šāw וַיַּכְשִׁל֤וּם that make them stumble way·yaḵ·ši·lūm בְּדַרְכֵיהֶם֙ in their ways , bə·ḏar·ḵê·hem עוֹלָ֔ם [leaving] the ancient ‘ō·w·lām שְׁבִילֵ֣י roads šə·ḇî·lê
