עֹשֶׂ֥ה working ‘ō·śeh מְלָאכָ֖ה . . . mə·lā·ḵāh עַל־ at ‘al- הָאָבְנָֽיִם׃ the wheel . hā·’ā·ḇə·nā·yim Jeremiah 18:4 הַכְּלִ֗י But the vessel hak·kə·lî אֲשֶׁ֨ר that ’ă·šer ה֥וּא he hū עֹשֶׂ֛ה was shaping ‘ō·śeh בַּחֹ֖מֶר from the clay ba·ḥō·mer וְנִשְׁחַ֣ת became flawed wə·niš·ḥaṯ הַיּוֹצֵ֑ר in [his] hay·yō·w·ṣêr וְשָׁ֗ב . . . wə·šāḇ בְּיַ֣ד hand ; bə·yaḏ וַֽיַּעֲשֵׂ֙הוּ֙ so he formed way·ya·‘ă·śê·hū אַחֵ֔ר it into another ’a·ḥêr כְּלִ֣י vessel , kə·lî כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר as ka·’ă·šer בְּעֵינֵ֥י it seemed bə·‘ê·nê יָשַׁ֛ר best yā·šar הַיּוֹצֵ֖ר for him hay·yō·w·ṣêr לַעֲשֽׂוֹת׃פ to do . la·‘ă·śō·wṯ Jeremiah 18:5 דְבַר־ Then the word ḏə·ḇar- יְהוָ֖ה of YHWH Yah·weh וַיְהִ֥י came way·hî אֵלַ֥י to me , ’ê·lay לֵאמֽוֹר׃ saying , lê·mō·wr Jeremiah 18:6 בֵּ֥ית “ O house bêṯ יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל of Israel , yiś·rā·’êl נְאֻם־ declares nə·’um- יְהוָ֑ה YHWH , Yah·weh אוּכַ֨ל can ’ū·ḵal לֹא־ I not lō- לַעֲשׂ֥וֹת treat la·‘ă·śō·wṯ לָכֶ֛ם you lā·ḵem הַזֶּ֜ה as this haz·zeh הֲכַיּוֹצֵ֨ר potter [treats his clay] ? hă·ḵay·yō·w·ṣêr הִנֵּ֤ה Just hin·nêh כַחֹ֙מֶר֙ like clay ḵa·ḥō·mer הַיּוֹצֵ֔ר in the potter’s hay·yō·w·ṣêr בְּיַ֣ד hand , bə·yaḏ כֵּן־ so kên- אַתֶּ֥ם are you ’at·tem בְּיָדִ֖י in My hand , bə·yā·ḏî בֵּ֥ית O house bêṯ יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ס of Israel . yiś·rā·’êl Jeremiah 18:7 רֶ֣גַע At any time re·ḡa‘ אֲדַבֵּ֔ר I might announce ’ă·ḏab·bêr עַל־ that ‘al- גּ֖וֹי a nation gō·w וְעַל־ . . . wə·‘al- מַמְלָכָ֑ה or kingdom mam·lā·ḵāh לִנְת֥וֹשׁ will be uprooted , lin·ṯō·wōš וְלִנְת֖וֹץ torn down , wə·lin·ṯō·wṣ וּֽלְהַאֲבִֽיד׃ and destroyed . ū·lə·ha·’ă·ḇîḏ Jeremiah 18:8 הַה֔וּא But if that ha·hū הַגּ֣וֹי nation hag·gō·w דִּבַּ֖רְתִּי I warned dib·bar·tî עָלָ֑יו ‘ā·lāw וְשָׁב֙ turns wə·šāḇ מֵרָ֣עָת֔וֹ from its evil , mê·rā·‘ā·ṯōw אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer וְנִֽחַמְתִּי֙ then I will relent wə·ni·ḥam·tî עַל־ of ‘al- הָ֣רָעָ֔ה the disaster hā·rā·‘āh אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer חָשַׁ֖בְתִּי I had planned ḥā·šaḇ·tî לַעֲשׂ֥וֹת to bring la·‘ă·śō·wṯ לֽוֹ׃ס . lōw Jeremiah 18:9 וְרֶ֣גַע And if at another time wə·re·ḡa‘ אֲדַבֵּ֔ר I announce ’ă·ḏab·bêr עַל־ . . . ‘al- לִבְנֹ֖ת that I will build up liḇ·nōṯ וְלִנְטֹֽעַ׃ and establish wə·lin·ṭō·a‘ גּ֖וֹי a nation gō·w וְעַל־ . . . wə·‘al- מַמְלָכָ֑ה or kingdom , mam·lā·ḵāh Jeremiah 18:10 וְעָשָׂ֤ה and if it does wə·‘ā·śāh הָרָעָה evil hå̄·rå̄·ʿå̄h בְּעֵינַ֔י in My sight bə·‘ê·nay
