וְיֹשְׁבֵ֖י and residents wə·yō·šə·ḇê יְרֽוּשָׁלִָ֑ם of Jerusalem . yə·rū·šā·lim כֹּֽה־ This is what kōh- יְהוָ֨ה YHWH Yah·weh צְבָא֜וֹת of Hosts , ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ אֱלֹהֵ֣י the God ’ĕ·lō·hê יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל of Israel , yiś·rā·’êl הִנְנִ֨י . . . hin·nî אָמַר֩ says : ’ā·mar מֵבִ֤יא I am going to bring mê·ḇî רָעָה֙ such disaster rā·‘āh עַל־ on ‘al- הַזֶּ֔ה this haz·zeh הַמָּק֣וֹם place ham·mā·qō·wm אֲשֶׁ֥ר that ’ă·šer אָזְנָֽיו׃ the ears ’ā·zə·nāw כָּל־ of all kāl- שֹׁמְעָ֖הּ who hear of it šō·mə·‘āh תִּצַּ֥לְנָה will ring , tiṣ·ṣal·nāh Jeremiah 19:4 יַ֣עַן׀ because ya·‘an אֲשֶׁ֣ר - ’ă·šer עֲזָבֻ֗נִי they have abandoned Me ‘ă·zā·ḇu·nî הַזֶּה֙ and made this haz·zeh וַֽיְנַכְּר֞וּ a foreign way·nak·kə·rū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַמָּק֤וֹם place . ham·mā·qō·wm וַיְקַטְּרוּ־ They have burned incense way·qaṭ·ṭə·rū- בוֹ֙ in [this place] ḇōw אֲחֵרִ֔ים to other ’ă·ḥê·rîm לֵאלֹהִ֣ים gods lê·lō·hîm אֲשֶׁ֧ר that ’ă·šer הֵ֥מָּה [neither] they hêm·māh וַאֲבֽוֹתֵיהֶ֖ם nor their fathers wa·’ă·ḇō·w·ṯê·hem וּמַלְכֵ֣י nor the kings ū·mal·ḵê יְהוּדָ֑ה of Judah yə·hū·ḏāh לֹֽא־ have [ever] lō- יְדָע֛וּם known . yə·ḏā·‘ūm וּמָֽלְא֛וּ They have filled ū·mā·lə·’ū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַזֶּ֖ה this haz·zeh הַמָּק֥וֹם place ham·mā·qō·wm דַּ֥ם with the blood dam נְקִיִּֽם׃ of the innocent . nə·qî·yim Jeremiah 19:5 וּבָנ֞וּ They have built ū·ḇā·nū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- בָּמ֣וֹת high places bā·mō·wṯ הַבַּ֗עַל to Baal hab·ba·‘al לִשְׂרֹ֧ף on which to burn liś·rōp̄ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- בְּנֵיהֶ֛ם their children bə·nê·hem בָּאֵ֖שׁ in the fire bā·’êš עֹל֣וֹת as offerings ‘ō·lō·wṯ לַבָּ֑עַל to Baal — lab·bā·‘al אֲשֶׁ֤ר something ’ă·šer לֹֽא־ I never lō- צִוִּ֙יתִי֙ commanded ṣiw·wî·ṯî דִבַּ֔רְתִּי or mentioned , ḏib·bar·tî וְלֹ֥א . . . wə·lō וְלֹ֣א nor wə·lō עָלְתָ֖ה did it [even] enter ‘ā·lə·ṯāh עַל־ . . . ‘al- לִבִּֽי׃פ My mind . lib·bî Jeremiah 19:6 לָכֵ֞ן So lā·ḵên הִנֵּֽה־ behold , hin·nêh- יָמִ֤ים the days yā·mîm בָּאִים֙ are coming , bā·’îm נְאֻם־ declares nə·’um- יְהוָ֔ה YHWH , Yah·weh הַזֶּ֥ה when this haz·zeh לַמָּק֨וֹם place lam·mā·qō·wm וְלֹא־ will no wə·lō- ע֛וֹד longer ‘ō·wḏ יִקָּרֵא֩ be called yiq·qā·rê הַתֹּ֖פֶת Topheth hat·tō·p̄eṯ וְגֵ֣יא or the Valley wə·ḡê בֶן־ of Ben-hinnom ḇen- הִנֹּ֑ם . . . , hin·nōm כִּ֖י but kî אִם־ . . . ’im- גֵּ֥יא the Valley gê הַהֲרֵגָֽה׃ of Slaughter . ha·hă·rê·ḡāh Jeremiah 19:7 הַזֶּ֔ה And in this haz·zeh בַּמָּק֣וֹם place bam·mā·qō·wm וּ֠בַקֹּתִי I will ruin ū·ḇaq·qō·ṯî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- עֲצַ֨ת the plans ‘ă·ṣaṯ יְהוּדָ֤ה of Judah yə·hū·ḏāh וִירוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙ and Jerusalem . wî·rū·šā·lim
