Yah·weh Jeremiah 17:8 וְהָיָ֞ה He is wə·hā·yāh כְּעֵ֣ץ׀ like a tree kə·‘êṣ שָׁת֣וּל planted šā·ṯūl עַל־ by ‘al- מַ֗יִם the waters ma·yim שָֽׁרָשָׁ֔יו that sends out its roots šā·rā·šāw יְשַׁלַּ֣ח . . . yə·šal·laḥ וְעַל־ toward wə·‘al- יוּבַל֙ the stream . yū·ḇal וְלֹ֤א It does not wə·lō יִרָא fear yi·rå̄ כִּֽי־ when kî- חֹ֔ם the heat ḥōm יָבֹ֣א comes , yā·ḇō עָלֵ֖הוּ and its leaves ‘ā·lê·hū וְהָיָ֥ה are always wə·hā·yāh רַֽעֲנָ֑ן green . ra·‘ă·nān לֹ֣א It does not lō יִדְאָ֔ג worry yiḏ·’āḡ וְלֹ֥א . . . wə·lō וּבִשְׁנַ֤ת in a year ū·ḇiš·naṯ בַּצֹּ֙רֶת֙ of drought , baṣ·ṣō·reṯ יָמִ֖ישׁ [nor] does it cease yā·mîš מֵעֲשׂ֥וֹת to produce mê·‘ă·śō·wṯ פֶּֽרִי׃ fruit . pe·rî Jeremiah 17:9 הַלֵּ֛ב The heart hal·lêḇ עָקֹ֥ב [is] deceitful ‘ā·qōḇ מִכֹּ֖ל above all things mik·kōl וְאָנֻ֣שׁ and beyond cure wə·’ā·nuš ה֑וּא . . . . hū מִ֖י Who mî יֵדָעֶֽנּוּ׃ can understand it ? yê·ḏā·‘en·nū Jeremiah 17:10 אֲנִ֧י I , ’ă·nî יְהוָ֛ה YHWH , Yah·weh חֹקֵ֥ר search ḥō·qêr לֵ֖ב the heart ; lêḇ בֹּחֵ֣ן I examine bō·ḥên כְּלָי֑וֹת the mind kə·lā·yō·wṯ וְלָתֵ֤ת to reward wə·lā·ṯêṯ לְאִישׁ֙ a man lə·’îš כְּדַרְכּוֹ according to his way , kə·ḏar·kō מַעֲלָלָֽיו׃ס by what his deeds ma·‘ă·lā·lāw כִּפְרִ֖י deserve . kip̄·rî Jeremiah 17:11 קֹרֵ֤א Like a partridge qō·rê דָגַר֙ hatching eggs ḏā·ḡar וְלֹ֣א it did not wə·lō יָלָ֔ד lay yā·lāḏ עֹ֥שֶׂה is the man who makes ‘ō·śeh עֹ֖שֶׁר a fortune ‘ō·šer וְלֹ֣א vvv wə·lō בְמִשְׁפָּ֑ט unjustly . ḇə·miš·pāṭ בַּחֲצִ֤י In the middle ba·ḥă·ṣî יֹמוֹ of his days yō·mō יַעַזְבֶ֔נּוּ his riches will desert him , ya·‘az·ḇen·nū וּבְאַחֲרִית֖וֹ and in the end ū·ḇə·’a·ḥă·rî·ṯōw יִהְיֶ֥ה he will be yih·yeh נָבָֽל׃ the fool . ” nā·ḇāl Jeremiah 17:12 כָב֔וֹד A glorious ḵā·ḇō·wḏ כִּסֵּ֣א throne , kis·sê מָר֖וֹם exalted mā·rō·wm מֵֽרִאשׁ֑וֹן from the beginning , mê·ri·šō·wn מְק֖וֹם is the place mə·qō·wm מִקְדָּשֵֽׁנוּ׃ of our sanctuary . miq·dā·šê·nū Jeremiah 17:13 יְהוָ֔ה O YHWH , Yah·weh מִקְוֵ֤ה the hope miq·wêh יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ of Israel , yiś·rā·’êl כָּל־ all kāl- עֹזְבֶ֖יךָ who abandon You ‘ō·zə·ḇe·ḵā יֵבֹ֑שׁוּ will be put to shame . yê·ḇō·šū יִסּוֹרַי All who turn away yis·sō·ray יִכָּתֵ֔בוּ will be written yik·kā·ṯê·ḇū בָּאָ֣רֶץ in the dust , bā·’ā·reṣ כִּ֥י for kî עָזְב֛וּ they have abandoned ‘ā·zə·ḇū יְהוָֽה׃ס YHWH , Yah·weh מְק֥וֹר the fountain mə·qō·wr חַיִּ֖ים of living ḥay·yîm אֶת־ - ’eṯ- מַֽיִם־ water . ma·yim-
