Jeremiah 16:8 לֹא־ You must not lō- תָב֖וֹא enter ṯā·ḇō·w וּבֵית־ a house ū·ḇêṯ- מִשְׁתֶּ֥ה where there is feasting miš·teh לָשֶׁ֣בֶת and sit down lā·še·ḇeṯ אוֹתָ֑ם with them ’ō·w·ṯām לֶאֱכֹ֖ל to eat le·’ĕ·ḵōl וְלִשְׁתּֽוֹת׃ס and drink . wə·liš·tō·wṯ Jeremiah 16:9 כִּי֩ For kî כֹ֨ה this is what ḵōh יְהוָ֤ה YHWH Yah·weh צְבָאוֹת֙ of Hosts , ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ אֱלֹהֵ֣י the God ’ĕ·lō·hê יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל of Israel , yiś·rā·’êl הִנְנִ֨י . . . hin·nî אָמַ֜ר says : ’ā·mar מַשְׁבִּ֜ית I am going to remove maš·bîṯ מִן־ from min- הַזֶּ֛ה this haz·zeh הַמָּק֥וֹם place , ham·mā·qō·wm לְעֵינֵיכֶ֖ם before your very eyes lə·‘ê·nê·ḵem וּבִֽימֵיכֶ֑ם and in your days , ū·ḇî·mê·ḵem ק֤וֹל the sounds qō·wl שָׂשׂוֹן֙ of joy śā·śō·wn שִׂמְחָ֔ה and gladness , śim·ḥāh ק֥וֹל . . . qō·wl וְק֣וֹל the voices wə·qō·wl וְק֥וֹל . . . wə·qō·wl כַּלָּֽה׃ of the bride kal·lāh חָתָ֖ן and bridegroom . ḥā·ṯān Jeremiah 16:10 וְהָיָ֗ה - wə·hā·yāh כִּ֤י When kî תַגִּיד֙ you tell ṯag·gîḏ הַזֶּ֔ה these haz·zeh אֵ֥ת - ’êṯ לָעָ֣ם people lā·‘ām כָּל־ all kāl- הָאֵ֑לֶּה these hā·’êl·leh הַדְּבָרִ֖ים things , had·də·ḇā·rîm וְאָמְר֣וּ they will ask wə·’ā·mə·rū אֵלֶ֗יךָ you , ’ê·le·ḵā עַל־ ‘ Why ‘al- מֶה֩ . . . meh יְהוָ֤ה has YHWH Yah·weh דִבֶּ֨ר pronounced ḏib·ber כָּל־ all kāl- הַזֹּ֔את this haz·zōṯ הַגְּדוֹלָה֙ great hag·gə·ḏō·w·lāh הָרָעָ֤ה disaster hā·rā·‘āh עָלֵ֙ינוּ֙ against us ? ‘ā·lê·nū אֵ֣ת - ’êṯ וּמֶ֤ה What ū·meh עֲוֺנֵ֙נוּ֙ is our guilt ? ‘ă·wō·nê·nū וּמֶ֣ה What ū·meh חַטָּאתֵ֔נוּ is the sin ḥaṭ·ṭā·ṯê·nū אֲשֶׁ֥ר that ’ă·šer חָטָ֖אנוּ we have committed ḥā·ṭā·nū לַֽיהוָ֥ה against YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃ our God ?’ ’ĕ·lō·hê·nū Jeremiah 16:11 וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ Then you are to answer them : wə·’ā·mar·tā אֲלֵיהֶ֗ם . . . ’ă·lê·hem עַל֩ ‘ [It is] because ‘al אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- אֲבוֹתֵיכֶ֤ם your fathers ’ă·ḇō·w·ṯê·ḵem עָזְב֨וּ have forsaken ‘ā·zə·ḇū אוֹתִי֙ Me , ’ō·w·ṯî נְאֻם־ declares nə·’um- יְהוָ֔ה YHWH , Yah·weh וַיֵּלְכ֗וּ and followed way·yê·lə·ḵū אַֽחֲרֵי֙ . . . ’a·ḥă·rê אֲחֵרִ֔ים other ’ă·ḥê·rîm אֱלֹהִ֣ים gods , ’ĕ·lō·hîm וַיַּעַבְד֖וּם and served way·ya·‘aḇ·ḏūm וַיִּשְׁתַּחֲו֣וּ and worshiped way·yiš·ta·ḥă·wū לָהֶ֑ם them . lā·hem וְאֹתִ֣י - wə·’ō·ṯî עָזָ֔בוּ They abandoned Me ‘ā·zā·ḇū וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- לֹ֥א and did not lō שָׁמָֽרוּ׃ keep šā·mā·rū תּוֹרָתִ֖י My instruction . tō·w·rā·ṯî Jeremiah 16:12 וְאַתֶּ֛ם And you wə·’at·tem לַעֲשׂ֖וֹת have done la·‘ă·śō·wṯ הֲרֵעֹתֶ֥ם more evil hă·rê·‘ō·ṯem מֵאֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶ֑ם than your fathers . mê·’ă·ḇō·w·ṯê·ḵem וְהִנְּכֶ֣ם See how wə·hin·nə·ḵem אִ֚ישׁ each of you ’îš הֹלְכִ֗ים follows hō·lə·ḵîm
