Jeremiah 15:7 וָאֶזְרֵ֥ם I will scatter them wā·’ez·rêm בְּמִזְרֶ֖ה with a winnowing fork bə·miz·reh בְּשַׁעֲרֵ֣י at the gates bə·ša·‘ă·rê הָאָ֑רֶץ of the land . hā·’ā·reṣ שִׁכַּ֤לְתִּי I will bereave šik·kal·tî אִבַּ֙דְתִּי֙ and destroy ’ib·baḏ·tî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- עַמִּ֔י My people ‘am·mî לוֹא־ who have not lō·w- שָֽׁבוּ׃ turned šā·ḇū מִדַּרְכֵיהֶ֖ם from their ways . mid·dar·ḵê·hem Jeremiah 15:8 אַלְמְנֹתָו֙ I will make their widows ʾal·mə·nō·ṯå̄w עָֽצְמוּ־ more numerous ‘ā·ṣə·mū- לִ֤י lî מֵח֣וֹל than the sand mê·ḥō·wl יַמִּ֔ים of the sea . yam·mîm הֵבֵ֨אתִי I will bring hê·ḇê·ṯî לָהֶ֥ם . . . lā·hem שֹׁדֵ֣ד a destroyer šō·ḏêḏ בַּֽצָּהֳרָ֑יִם at noon baṣ·ṣā·ho·rā·yim עַל־ against ‘al- אֵ֛ם the mothers ’êm בָּח֖וּר of young men . bā·ḥūr פִּתְאֹ֔ם I will suddenly piṯ·’ōm הִפַּ֤לְתִּי bring hip·pal·tî עָלֶ֙יהָ֙ upon them ‘ā·le·hā עִ֖יר anguish ‘îr וּבֶהָלֽוֹת׃ and dismay . ū·ḇe·hā·lō·wṯ Jeremiah 15:9 יֹלֶ֣דֶת The mother yō·le·ḏeṯ הַשִּׁבְעָ֗ה of seven haš·šiḇ·‘āh אֻמְלְלָ֞ה will grow faint ; ’um·lə·lāh נָפְחָ֥ה she will breathe nā·p̄ə·ḥāh נַפְשָׁ֛הּ her last breath . nap̄·šāh שִׁמְשָׁ֛הּ Her sun šim·šāh בָּאָה will set bå̄·ʾå̄h בְּעֹ֥ד while it is still bə·‘ōḏ יוֹמָ֖ם day ; yō·w·mām בּ֣וֹשָׁה she will be disgraced bō·wō·šāh וְחָפֵ֑רָה and humiliated . wə·ḥā·p̄ê·rāh וּשְׁאֵֽרִיתָ֗ם And the rest ū·šə·’ê·rî·ṯām אֶתֵּ֛ן I will put ’et·tên לַחֶ֧רֶב to the sword la·ḥe·reḇ לִפְנֵ֥י in the presence lip̄·nê אֹיְבֵיהֶ֖ם of their enemies ,” ’ō·yə·ḇê·hem נְאֻם־ declares nə·’um- יְהוָֽה׃ס YHWH . Yah·weh Jeremiah 15:10 אֽוֹי־ Woe ’ō·w- לִ֣י to me , lî אִמִּ֔י my mother , ’im·mî כִּ֣י that kî יְלִדְתִּ֗נִי you have borne me , yə·liḏ·ti·nî אִ֥ישׁ a man ’îš רִ֛יב of strife rîḇ וְאִ֥ישׁ . . . wə·’îš מָד֖וֹן and conflict mā·ḏō·wn לְכָל־ in all lə·ḵāl הָאָ֑רֶץ the land . hā·’ā·reṣ לֹֽא־ I have neither lō- נָשִׁ֥יתִי lent nā·šî·ṯî וְלֹא־ nor wə·lō- נָֽשׁוּ־ borrowed , nā·šū- בִ֖י ḇî כֻּלֹּ֥ה yet everyone kul·lōh מְקַלְלַֽונִי׃ס curses me . mə·qal·la·w·nî Jeremiah 15:11 יְהוָ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh אָמַ֣ר said : ’ā·mar אִם־ “ Surely ’im- לֹ֥א . . . lō שָׁרוֹתִךָ I will deliver you šå̄·rō·ṯi·ḵå̄ לְט֑וֹב for a good purpose ; lə·ṭō·wḇ אִם־ surely I will ’im- ל֣וֹא׀ . . . lō·w הִפְגַּ֣עְתִּֽי intercede hip̄·ga‘·tî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הָאֹיֵֽב׃ with your enemy hā·’ō·yêḇ בְךָ֗ - ḇə·ḵā בְּעֵ֥ת־ in your time bə·‘êṯ- רָעָ֛ה of trouble , rā·‘āh וּבְעֵ֥ת in your time ū·ḇə·‘êṯ צָרָ֖ה of distress . ṣā·rāh Jeremiah 15:12 הֲיָרֹ֨עַ Can anyone smash hă·yā·rō·a‘ בַּרְזֶ֧ל׀ iron — bar·zel
