סָחֲר֥וּ travel sā·ḥă·rū אֶל־ to ’el- אֶ֖רֶץ a land ’e·reṣ וְלֹ֥א they do not wə·lō יָדָֽעוּ׃ס know . ’” yā·ḏā·‘ū Jeremiah 14:19 הֲמָאֹ֨ס Have You rejected hă·mā·’ōs אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יְהוּדָ֗ה Judah yə·hū·ḏāh מָאַ֜סְתָּ completely ? mā·’as·tā אִם־ . . . ’im- נַפְשֶׁ֔ךָ Do You nap̄·še·ḵā גָּעֲלָ֣ה despise gā·‘ă·lāh בְּצִיּוֹן֙ Zion ? bə·ṣî·yō·wn מַדּ֙וּעַ֙ Why mad·dū·a‘ הִכִּיתָ֔נוּ have You stricken us hik·kî·ṯā·nū וְאֵ֥ין so that we are beyond wə·’ên לָ֖נוּ lā·nū מַרְפֵּ֑א healing ? mar·pê קַוֵּ֤ה We hoped qaw·wêh לְשָׁלוֹם֙ for peace , lə·šā·lō·wm וְאֵ֣ין but no wə·’ên ט֔וֹב good has come , ṭō·wḇ וּלְעֵ֥ת and for the time ū·lə·‘êṯ מַרְפֵּ֖א of healing , mar·pê וְהִנֵּ֥ה but there wə·hin·nêh בְעָתָֽה׃ was only terror . ḇə·‘ā·ṯāh Jeremiah 14:20 יָדַ֧עְנוּ We acknowledge yā·ḏa‘·nū רִשְׁעֵ֖נוּ our wickedness , riš·‘ê·nū יְהוָ֛ה O YHWH , Yah·weh עֲוֺ֣ן the guilt ‘ă·wōn אֲבוֹתֵ֑ינוּ of our fathers ; ’ă·ḇō·w·ṯê·nū כִּ֥י indeed , kî חָטָ֖אנוּ we have sinned ḥā·ṭā·nū לָֽךְ׃ against You . lāḵ Jeremiah 14:21 לְמַ֣עַן For the sake of lə·ma·‘an שִׁמְךָ֔ Your name šim·ḵā אַל־ do not ’al- תִּנְאַץ֙ despise us ; tin·’aṣ אַל־ do not ’al- תְּנַבֵּ֖ל disgrace tə·nab·bêl כְבוֹדֶ֑ךָ Your glorious ḵə·ḇō·w·ḏe·ḵā כִּסֵּ֣א throne . kis·sê זְכֹ֕ר Remember zə·ḵōr בְּרִֽיתְךָ֖ Your covenant bə·rî·ṯə·ḵā אִתָּֽנוּ׃ with us ; ’it·tā·nū אַל־ do not ’al- תָּפֵ֥ר break it . tā·p̄êr Jeremiah 14:22 הֲיֵ֨שׁ Can hă·yêš בְּהַבְלֵ֤י the worthless idols bə·haḇ·lê הַגּוֹיִם֙ of the nations hag·gō·w·yim מַגְשִׁמִ֔ים bring rain ? maḡ·ši·mîm וְאִם־ - wə·’im- הַשָּׁמַ֖יִם Do the skies alone haš·šā·ma·yim יִתְּנ֣וּ send yit·tə·nū רְבִבִ֑ים showers ? rə·ḇi·ḇîm הֲלֹ֨א Is this not hă·lō אַתָּה־ by You ’at·tāh- ה֜וּא . . . , hū יְהוָ֤ה O YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵ֙ינוּ֙ our God ? ’ĕ·lō·hê·nū וּ֨נְקַוֶּה־ So we put our hope ū·nə·qaw·weh- לָּ֔ךְ in You , lāḵ כִּֽי־ for kî- אַתָּ֥ה You ’at·tāh עָשִׂ֖יתָ have done ‘ā·śî·ṯā אֶת־ - ’eṯ- כָּל־ all kāl- אֵֽלֶּה׃פ these things . ’êl·leh Jeremiah 15:1 יְהוָה֙ Then YHWH Yah·weh וַיֹּ֤אמֶר said way·yō·mer אֵלַ֔י to me : ’ê·lay אִם־ “ Even if ’im- מֹשֶׁ֤ה Moses mō·šeh וּשְׁמוּאֵל֙ and Samuel ū·šə·mū·’êl יַעֲמֹ֨ד should stand ya·‘ă·mōḏ לְפָנַ֔י before Me , lə·p̄ā·nay נַפְשִׁ֖י My heart nap̄·šî אֵ֥ין would not ’ên אֶל־ go out to ’el- הַזֶּ֑ה this haz·zeh הָעָ֣ם people . hā·‘ām שַׁלַּ֥ח Send them šal·laḥ מֵֽעַל־ from mê·‘al- פָּנַ֖י My presence , pā·nay וְיֵצֵֽאוּ׃ and let them go . wə·yê·ṣê·’ū
